Anyone who has NOT played ww2online may be interested to take a look at a forum used by current players and those who have unsubscribed due to recent game and forum policy changes.

I make no claim one way or the other good or bad concerning the game but a look here may offer an "unmoderated view" of what many ex players and current players think of the game and upcoming BE release.

Click the link and ask for access, it's up to the forum owner if he lets you in.

Be very aware of the above site, as it contains more than the above poster says -  including disrespectful and rude conduct against the makers of the game and  other players.

  • kiltkilt Member Posts: 6

Of course it does, I did say "unmoderated view"

However it shows no more disrespect to the game makers than they themselves show to some customers past and present.

It also contains many postitive aspects about the game.

Apart from all that, I leave it up to those who read it to make their own minds up.

In case anyone thinks i'm trying to start some kind of bad vibe war, I am an unsubscribed player who had 4 years of huge enjoyment from ww2online despite some reservations about certain things.

I recently left simply because I did not like the latest version of the game, that's my perogative and I hope maybe one day to rejoin if things improve for my tastes.

If there are positives, about this game please share them here Kilt for potential subscribers to view!    image

This game deserves the support dont  you agree?  image

  • kiltkilt Member Posts: 6

I really couldn't in good concience post positive aspects about the game without also giving an account of the negative aspects.

Since i'd rather leave people to make up their own minds, I think posting those negative comments would be a bad idea so I will say neither.

My advice to prospective customers is simple, go read the BE official forums then go join the offtherecord forums for a different slant on things, then make up your mind.

  • StugStug Member UncommonPosts: 387

Shame you can't support the game for the positives.

I would urge everyone to log onto the BE Website, take a look at the community, and all the people that post there.

Kilt I hope you come back to the Axis side soon!

    slant, read twisted.

Kilt, just walk away from the game, if you're not subscribed why do you endevour to ruin other peoples fun or potential fun. Your idea of what the game should be changed from that of the game producer, 4 years for a game is great subscription and I salute that, but if the game has changed for the worse for you, then surely you can find a game that is more worth your hard earned coin?

    Best of luck

The WWII Online fanboys once again extend their reach to outside forums in order to distort and supress the truth about this game.

Just like this fresh attack on a respected veteran player, Kilt, for daring to go against the company line.

The fact is, they are in the VAST minority.

This game launched years ago with boxed sales in excess of 45K.
Since them, legions have tried it and dropped it like a hot rock.

Total subscriptions now are estimated to be less than 13k, and at peak hours, 700 playing is a big number.

    Why?

    CRS are arrogant.
    CRS Lies.
    CRS's distorts.
CRS supresses the truth via heavy handed moderation of it's forums.
CRS fanboys cast a wide net over every related message board on the net, spewing propaganda.
CRS has failed time and time again to deliver on it's promises for content development and defect repairs.

CRS have tossed aside the wishes of veteran players who carried their water for them for years, in favor of a very few who toady and bootlick at thier every command.
And it will be those same CRS troglodytes that will be controlling YOUR gameplay.

Now they have demanded those not currently subscribed resub immediatly or lose ALL RANK.
I don't know of a single MMO out there that threatens to remove all your charachters, levels, and other virtual possesions if you unsub.

Thats a measure of just how nihlistic and pathological CRS has become.

And a measure of just how desperate the fanboys are (some of who bought "builders" memberships costing up to $1000, the game re-release has failed to sell even 1k copies on preorder since it was announced. Thus you have them trying to pimp this piece of software net wide, while the gaming press largly ignores it.

So, if you want a buggy, laggy game, from a developer that delivers little but poor support, one that runs with horrific framerates on mainstream PC's, and you want someone else telling you when, where, and how you will have fun AND with whom, this is your game.
    Enjoy.

If you logon when anyone else is actually playing and the HC's actually have missions posted.

Why don't YOU just walk away Sres.
The man has an opinion, and you and those of your mind don't control this board in the manner of the official forums.

    Hmmm..

What a difference between my posts and stugs posts [2 people having a discussion in a friendly manner] and sres, typical from someone like him, attack the poster, how nice.

I came here simply to point out a place where an unmoderated discussion can be had about the game, not to spoil anyones fun, I made no bad comment about ww2online whatsoever nor was that my intent, sres if you must reply, reply to waht was said, not what you imagined was said please.

So what's that got to do with the topic ?::::12::

  • plummerxplummerx Member Posts: 65

Nothing, obviously, but if you want yet another venue to resist the constant gobbing off of the hardcore fanboys, the simhq WWII online forum is a good one.

You can take on the scurvy likes of hobbit, Pruitt, and akdavis there.

    http://www.simhq.com

You can confront sres and comstar at:

    http://corpnews.com/

and comstar and sirBruce as well at

    http://forums.f13.net/

The game is SO bad that even SirBruce (a CRS investor) has stopped playing. But he keeps pimping it nonetheless.

for the new guys watching this topic:

beware cause this game causes massive addiction...

as u see in a normal game if u dont like it u simply go away, but with BE u just cant stop thinking and talking about the game, even make your own forum, or risk of getting banned. Guys like Kilt and Plummerx is the best example that this game is great. :)

  • plummerxplummerx Member Posts: 65

The fanboys are backed into their tiny corner.

The unsubscribed to this game are legion. There are tens of thousands of us at least. My own estimate puts us in excess of 100,000, and this game only has 13k active subscriptions, one of the 3 smallest subscriber bases of all MMO's.

But this game is controlled by that tiny minority. And they try to extend that control to third party forums like this one.

Not going to happen. Ask yourself this:

If the game is so great, so wonderful, why are the fanboys out touting and shilling it? Why, on the eve of the re-release of the game under a new name are the publishers not promoting it? Why has a game that has been on offer for presale for weeks now FAILED as yet to book 1000 preorders? Why does CRS engage in such heavy handed moderation of their own forums, mostly locked from public view, that plaers have has to start their own?

Because CRS has built this game on a fabric of lies and deciet.

Excuse me but don't file me under the heading "wants to slag off ww2online" I would much rather the game succeeds.

I do make negative comments about it but certainly not here or anywhere outside the offtherecord forums and I do so in moderation.

plummerx has his own views and while I certainly sympathize with some of them I do NOT agree with all of what he or any other person says.

Is ww2online a great game ? it certainly gave me 4 years of pleasure with some frustrations thrown in.

Is ww2online BE going to be a great game ? I don't know, all I know is that I unsubscribed due to recent changes which the Dev team made, plenty more seem to like it.

Like I said already, make up your own mind but do not include me as either a fanboi or a die hard critic.

  • PnHobbitPnHobbit Member CommonPosts: 195

The point being Plummerx will categorize, insult, and degrade himself for the enjoyment of all of us here as he bobbles about like a clown making inane and unfounded arguments. If you want a good laugh, this forum is the place to come read from now on.

He hasn't played the game in ages, he shows a complete misunderstanding of how the real world works when it comes to running a game. Despite his real occupation Plummerx contends to be bright enough to run a game company, tell everyone how wwii online is financed despite old, faulty, and irreliable information. He's also pals with the dev team because he knows them well enough to slag on them constantly.

You'll never meet a friendlier guy.

sigh its a game dont u get it?

why are u attacking something u dont have to use. Its not healtcare or tax system what has effect on your life, its just a game. If u dont like it just forget it, and move. Spreading hatred is just lame.

  • manohunmanohun Member Posts: 158

kilt i didnt said u are the same as plummerx... all i said is that u 2 are still thinking and talking about the game but u are unsubcribed. I know when i left a game because i dont like it i wont start a forum about it or anything just forget it and move on. Ofcourse i know there is no similar game available to date, and once u experienced how huge possibilities are in this game its hard to look elsewhere. I look up to the Rats for trying to make a game noone dare to make, and i think this is why its so unique.

Ya gotta wonder what a game has that can make people waste their time AFTER leaving the game image

I mean...  people usually just quit when they get tired of something.  But here we have people willing to spend time [and sometimes money] cruising the forums and review sites posting all kinds of derogatory posts...  often making themselves look like complete dicks.

and all this AFTER being a paying player for years.  That goes beyond weird.  That's like...  compulsive/obsessive...

Personally, in my opinion.  Don't take the trolls at face value.  Don't take the fanbois at face value.

Try it yourself.  Make your own mind up.

If you absolutely insist on being able to kill something within ten seconds of spawn-in...  the game is not for you.

This is a WARGAME crossed with a SIMULATOR.

It is NOT just a big fragfest.

Dont listen to guys like beatbox, nerf09 and this plummer guy, during the recent beta I didnt see a single noob complaining about the game, they were all awestruck and almost everyone I met said they would buy the BE box release, many of them have even already joined the game. The only people who are whining-complaining about the game are old time players, who cant accept change in any way, even getting so sad as to join the beta, and start whining on the in-game help channel where the new beta players were asking questions, actively discouraging newbies to subscribe to the game. Grow up guys, the game obviously has you in its grasp. Either resubscribe or leave the game behind you, but stop this childish BS PLEASE.

During the stress test I helped out a number of greentags who said they couldn't wait until the release of BE to buy the game and so were going to buy it right from the net as is.

Sure, you will get some suckers, because they have no experience with the what CRS or it's sychophantic core group of fanboys operates.

They will learn, then they will flee.

Then you will get a few that still like the game, and will join one of the fanboy based high commands, where they can bootlick thier way up by screwing over everyone else's gameplay. As we speak, brigades are being deactivated due to lack of activity. The game STILL hasn't garnerd 1000 preorders. And the fanboys still roam the net trying to obscure the facts about this game.

CRS has treated many of it's most loyal subscribers like SHite So they unsub, but keep talking. It's called negative backlash, and CRS earned EVERY word of it.

Or maybe, and I know this is a wild concept so try to keep up, there are actually people who like this game and hence some have been playing for years.

There are also those of us who get treated well. Every email I've sent about problems I've had has been promptly answered.

Now please continue whining. It must be sad being you plummerx because I swear I've seen you on a few boards doing nothing but trash this game. It must take up large amounts of your time. You are one sad little person.
