Lets face it, TOR is a gonner, sleeping with his fail wow clone friends.
Sure if you like the game and not bored or whatever is posted on these boards, good for you but the reality is, the game is dying really fast.
Sad really , Bioware is part of EA, and EA just want fastfood and move to the next project.

What's the point of this thread again? I seemed to have lost you.

It is called a grieving process - anything that helps mend the broken hearts of true Star Wars fans must be a good thing.
What I dont understand is where the hell was all the outrage in all the beta and CB. If the game was this bad I wouldnt care about any NDA, I would tell them to stick it and tell eveyone what the hell was actually going on.
The reviews of the game were candy coated IMO.
oh there was, you should of seen the beta forums.. bioware did not listen.. and yes the rabid fanboys who were constant yes men didn't help either...
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
Honestly? They (we?) were all dazzled by being frontloaded with story and the fact that it was SW. But mostly, mostly folks honestly thought it would get better. People just gave Bioware the benefit of the doubt. If you looked closely there were those who saw the issues from the beginning but by then the hype train was in full gear.
There is NO miracle patch.
95% of what you see in beta won't change by launch.
Hope is not a stategy.

playing the game and not wasting time in useless forums ...
Little forum boys with their polished cyber toys: whine whine, boo-hoo, talk talk.
i like the game no matter what ppl say. i still play it and having a blast.
I'm not a SW fanboy, I personally prefer Star Trek, however I'm playing it and having a great time also. Cheap, mindless entertainment nothing more nothing less.
Get busy living, or get busy dying. That's it.
An honest review of SW:TOR 6/10 (Danny Wojcicki)
Playing on the remaining 4-5 servers left with healthy populations, getting high on cat piss and Bioware dev farts.
Quite an honest mea cupla. Honestly, that's a rare thing in MMOs, the forums, and the internet in general. normally it is spin about how they really recognized it was a POS all along.
I love how people's "feelings" on the state of a game means more to them than any facts ever will.
It is sort of like religion... which is funny, because scientifically, people's brains do not act the same when discussing deeply held beliefs. They are opposed to factual data and instead go on the defensive any time their belief is challanged, never thinking critically.
I've always wondered where he went. I noticed he disappeared around the time SWToR released.
BOOYAKA!
Also, OP, your quote should be Mmo's are*, not "is" ... Just sayin.
I said it in my reviews to Bioware after the two beta weekends. It's an average game, 5/10. Feels like a single player rpg while still being online. Not worth a monthly sub, but probably worth a one-time purchase. I was also skeptical if the class stories were actually well-written, but never got far enough to make that assessment. Honestly, they just needed to make KOTOR 3-10. It would have made bank for EA/Bioware with console+PC sales.
Not a hater, not a fanboy, just tryin' to be honest.

Dead and sleeping? if they consolidate the 122 servers in half, it will be more than most games will ever hope to have.
Between the overblown hyperbole and the chicken littles running around crying the sky is falling, it's a wonder anyone takes anything seriously here anymore.
Most of the claimed oracles who forsaw the games doom, said it would fail before launch and then like the Millerites trying to fortell the end of the world, they just kept pushing the date back hoping they'd finally be right.
Mmorpg members may well be the worst place to try and get an accurate, unbiased account of a games appeal. Most of these people dont even play a game, well other than making the rounds through the forums to spew about everyone elses.
End game was to easy to get to, and once you got there it was boring. Both in pvp and pve.
I didn't closed beta, but on the stregnth of that front loading, I sold the game to 2 close friends. Now even though TSW has my heart I wont make them buy it till I've played atleast a month, (about 200 hours, yeah I know that's alot for a month, it'sa long story..) I mean they look at me different now when I say something is good ffs...
I used to defend the game a lot.. but its dead. Servers are dead. PVP queues are eternal. Bioware not listening to anyone and fixing the wrong issues in patches.
It was fun capping my inquisitor story... but im off to better things like tsw, tera, gw2 and d3. It was fun bioware at first, but not anymore.
There were hints-a-plenty despite the NDA.
Yogscast, for example, humorously leaked that it wasn't very good during a Rift review video and it spread like wildfire. And several posters on this site either directly broke the NDA or gave ample hintage it was facile rubbish. Now, I don't want to sound like some smartarse Cassandra here, I still bought the game knowing all this because I had lingering Bioware-faith and hadn't fully appreciately how far up their bums the EA tentacles had gone. Anyway, it's over, move on.
im one of "funboys" if U will... still playing it, yeah... kinda
but even i must admit that servers currently are dead, and untill next content upgrade (1.3), or server merges, whatever will come first, im logging in only for ops we dont have on farm yet, payed playtime expires tommorow, than bonus month, if none of above come in meanwhile frozing account untill they do
rest of my evenings is D3 (atleast till 60, that is next week tops)
someone asked where is Maverick and 2000h of playing... well... i already have well more than 2000, almost 5x50, storys are great, and for me thats THE best MMO game yet... matter of taste, something i dont discuss...
the problem is that with half dead servers there is really hard to gear them up, no HMs, no PVP, without HMs no rare mats for crafted starting gear...
biggest mistake on BW side was creating so many servers, half of that just heavy sharded at launch and there still would be enough people even now to play on them... they had too high hopes, now even those of us who really like the game cant play it the way we like and go on breaks... and there is even less people playing
sad but true

They're either still hating on GW2 or being a fanboi of that now...
