Its actually great to see the iterative process in action and how they are willing to re-design and not stick to whatever came first. Good thoughts on the re-desigh here: http://www.killtenrats.com/2011/08/08/gw2-natural-aliens/
So, I guess it's up to me to play spoilsport again.
I HATE THIS. Shoot... I mean, I love EATING salad... but BEING salad? I mean, yes the first design was kinda bland, but this is way over the top. The character design isn't sooo bad, but this hidious clothing! Why are people MADE of plant wearing clothing of plant? That makes no sense! That's as if I as human would wear human skin as hide armour! *shudder* Plant clothing looks just so... primitive. Like some neanderthal from the forest or what.
Initially I was planning to play Sylvari, and the char doesn't look half bad, but NO WAY I am going to wear a SALAD SKIRT!
Nah. Meesa not liken thisen.
LOLUMADBRO?
Anyway they said in the forum you can wear normal armor too, that those are silvary racial armor. so chill out.
now: GW2 (11 80s). Dark Souls 2. future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord. "Bro, do your even fractal?" Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

the Caithe pic says the 1st one is concept, but the other 3 are in-game modelsthe only concept art im seeing in this blog is the armor pic and the clothing-costume-sylvari pic. the syl anatomy looks like renders
The first and third are concept art. The second and fourth are in-game models. You can tell pretty easily, I thought. Even so, they are at different levels so you can tell them apart. Yes they look alike, but nearly everything so far does look like the concept art almost exactly. I think that is a very good thing. I thought it was pretty easy to tell the difference on the larger version, but I think the fact it is hard for some people to tell the difference says volumes about their art direction, the potential system requirements, and their dedication to perfection.
