Fair enough, I feel people grossly underestimate the endgame of all content staying rellevant due to level scaling. One reason I'm not playing tsw myself for months is because you are left with little to do once you hit the last zone. Anything before that becomes super easy mode boring and the world becomes an island. Enjoy what ever game you choose to play op.

of course there are people who don't know about him, because the mods ban everyone who reminds people of it. that's why him and hikaru77 are still at it to this day.
Exactly what have I done that warrants a ban? Did I personally insult or attack anyone? NO.
All I di was express my opinion of why GW2 wasnt worth buying and playing. I didnt realizing that not having the opinion that GW2 was the most greatest game of all time wowowwoee deserved a ban! WELL EXCUSE ME!
didn't suggest they ban you, i said that they BAN PEOPLE THAT POINT OUT YOUR POST HISTORY OF TROLLING THIS GAME.
When did that happen? Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me. I bet this never happened and is just a lie created by people here in order to cause problems.
Your last thread said you weren't coming back to this site... Why are you still here? Go away like you said you would.
cash shop has been discussed a million times and what you say about it is false....
You didnt cancel your pre-order..we all know it. Either you never had one or you just did 5 bucks at gamestop.
Instead of a ban i think we will just now refer to you as DildoBaggins.
Go play TSW that's fine...some people preffer bologna to steak. I am not one of them.
good day sir
You're assuming they ever pre-ordered in the first place and didn't just list a bunch of crap people have been saying to discredit the game because they "don't like the community". This can, of course, go the other way - actual sales at year's end will determine the truth, but I NEVER believe people on forums when they make this kind of "look at me" thread.
The fact there are 6 pages in a thread where ONE GUY decides to cancel his pre-order is just crazy. It's almost like GW2 has spawned a fanatic, zelot crazy cult..."someone's leaving? GET HIM BEFORE HE ESCAPES!!!"

Nonsense. If I had an "obvious" agenda against this game then why did I pre-order it?
Aerowyn, I get that you are this games biggest cheerleader but that doesnt mean that your opinion is the only correct one or that GW2 has no flaws (and it does, A LOT depending on who you ask).
Every week, every day, every hour, every minute. One guild wars 2 complain / uber fanboyism thread is made. Seriously the game isnt for everyone and its not even released yet. Why people have to share this one of an awesome information to everyone.
Hard to take anyone seriously when they insist on making the same post over and over again, despite it mostly being misinformation. All the OP's "points" have been countered already (and in numerous previous threads). Hope he's getting paid well for his time.....

there's plenty of wrong with the game but to pre-order a game that has had all the info laid out for months upon months and bitch because it's missing features you "think" are not there is pretty absurd.. It's like me going into TSW forums and bitching that I'm pissed the game has cutscenes and voice overs or has no levels or set classes
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

He still have a point, one guy decides not to buy the game, who cares?
Sure, his reasons seems rather silly to me but OP sounds like a raider and the game is not really made for them (for once).
Good luck with whatever you choose to play instead OP, I see most of the others ingame.

It's pretty ridiculous, not even the SWTOR fanboys were this mad.

only reason people get up and bothered is because of his post history.. if its just some random person saying they dislike the game for x or y reason then fine but to keep coming to these forums saying the same things over and over about not liking the game is well.. what else can you call it?
he made his point long ago.. move on

Man this guy again with the GW2 hate. I put him on block long ago and I suggest anyone that is looking for a real discussion do the same because you won't get one. Here, I'll leave this here again and keep asking myself WTF you keep making threads in GW2 section OP if it aint to troll.
By your own words you were gonna stop trolling the GW2 forums and MMORPG in general and if you can't even be honest with that, then how can anything you say afterwards be taken seriousely?

I wasn't, however a quick scan is quite revealing. Kinda sad to have nothing positive to say about anything much. My guess is a burnt out WoW raider that can not find a similar hamster wheel. Having never fallen for that particular form of slavery I can't say for sure.
OP, wish you well finding something you like, and if it does turn out to be TSW let's hope FC can churn out quality raids at a high rate of knots. (personally I hope they add 'real' content, well the content I'll play so not stuff that needs a gear grind).
We dont need topics with 80 pages if one guy said he wont buy it. Leave him be, he wont be missed,(at least not by me) Let him continue playing whatever he is playing and this topic to die...

Thats funny. You and Aerowyn and others keep claiming I hate on GW2 constantly and Im always created threads here...
Except that all you can point to it one thread where I said I planned to play the game and was only whin ing about the GW2 fanboys. I also didnt even post that thread in the GW2 forums!

You might have a case if we hadn't been hearing the same thing from this guy for months. Who's the mad one?
Months ago before I started ebta testing this game I was very excited. I had bought into the hype that GW2 was the future and was gonna do things differently but after all the beta testing I finally had to be honest with myself about the game. The truth is that GW2 is basically more of the same with a few differences.
1. No raids- ANet removed raids because they know that their PVE system is to simple and casual to support complex and difficult raiding. Raids like everything else in GW2 (like pvp) are nothing but a button mashing zergfest. Having raids would have made this all the more obvious.
2. No sub fee but cash shop oreiented which borders on P2W- One of GW2 's big selling points is that it has no sub-fee. This is a good thing but in all honesty they HAD to do this since GW2 simply doesnt have the content to justify paying a monthly sub. So instead ANet added a cash shop which gives rewards as good as the best stuff you can find in game and other things which makes it arguably Pay 2 win. And even if its not P2W at launch its obvious to anyone who is familiar with MMO's that it will end up that way.
3. Pointless zerg pvp- PvP is supposed to be the strength of GW2 but in reality it is extremely shallow. PvP basically consists of running around in zergs and punching gates for hours on end for no reason. There is no actual purpose to GW2 pvp. No ladders, rankings, and no way to build a rep because you are given a generic name so nobody knows who you are.
4. No endgame- GW2 endgame= the same stuff you were doing since level one since "everything is endgame". Once you hit 80 there is nothing to do which provides actual character progression anymore.
I really wanted this game to succeed and be great but I cant lie to myself. The fact is that GW2 is shallow and generic. Its more elves and orcs fantasy that we have seen a million times. GW2 is really just WoW minus raids and sub fees. Luckily TSW's excellent stories and atmosphere which is unique and difficult will be able to tide me over until Planetside 2 launches which will be the next big MMO that revolutionizes the genre.
u just saved yourself 60 bucks .oh just wait did you just said TSW? that game will be going f2p soon .next on your list is ps2 .seems promising but that is being launched by soe which is known to make awesome game and than make some stupid decisions and ruin the game . GW2 has nothing to lose .you buy the box and the money goes to ncsoft . so if they sell alot of boxes they will be on a sweet ride. regardless of whether gw2 lives to its hype or not . it will still milk enough to survive on its own .

I would write a snide comment, but I ran out of steam on another topic involving GW2, so I'll say this:
Sorry that this game does not fit your specific criteria as to what is a true MMO is, but it is what it is, and we would be thankful if you did not try to spread misinformation out of bitterness or fear for your other choice of MMOs' prosperity and population. We of the GW2 community will enjoy the game for what it is, rather than what it isn't, AND what is it? An MMO that trys to avoid following the traditional raid-based Endgame, which is good since this market could use some diversity anyways. Thank you and don't let the mobs kill you on the way out!
