They have no right to complain/comment or whatever on the official forum for CU when that comes. But whenever CU is discussed in a public forum be it here or anywhere else everyone has a right to voice their opinion whether it be positive or negative, insightful or stupid, fanboi or hater and every shade inbetween
If you and others can't accept that then the problem lies with you.

Yeah scream all they want on this forum but it will do no good for them at all. Whether this forum or any other they still have no voice, they can't effect anything in the game.
I will say that it's very refreshing knowing that they have no leg to stand on, they can't even use the "this game will fail" line lol.
If anything it's quite entertaining knowing they are calling on deaf ears lol.
I dont know the exact numbers here and im probably unaware of some games, but as far as im aware the only 100% PvP MMO's are planetside 1 and 2, then some MUDs. then you have about 30000 pve MMO's with PvP tacked on the side...DONT THE PEOPLE HAVE ENOUGH CHOICES FOR PVE? FFS.

I really don't see the issue personally...Sure the world outside of RvR may seem deader than usual and there might be less variety in things to do but that is reflected int he proposed sub prices even for those who didn't back it.As long as it does what it focuses on brilliantly it will find an audience.

There are plenty of PvP centric MMORPGs out there, especially int he F2P market, granted most of them are pretty grindy and dated. There are less RvR centric games and one more can't hurt.
Bear in mind this is still a long time from release and much can happen in between.

Age of Wushu, GW2... less posting. More reading.
I don't mind that a game has no PVE... what I don't understand is how it has no PVE and also requires a box purchase and a monthly subscription. MOBA's and DOA don't require monthly subscriptions.
The traditional model is that the publisher fronts you the cash for development, accepting some of the risk that the game tanks, in return for a chance of greater than expected sales and a potential windfall. EA with TOR wasn't planning to recover their development costs from box sales, they were expecting some recurring revenues in subscription fees.
In this model, the players front the cash, then if the game doesn't get released- they take all the risk. If the game is released and it sucks, they take all the risk (Having employed Jacobs and his friends for a couple of years). If the game is good and they continue to play it, they still have to pay... what are they paying for, exactly? New PVE content, like DDO and Rift release? Nope. They're make the developers wealthy... they already paid their salaries for the last three years. So the players take all the risk, and what do they get in return? A virtual hat, and forum tag, and then they get to pay $15 (or whatever) a month just like the people who waited 3 years to buy the game. If Jacobs wasn't a crook (and the fact that he has $2 million to invest personally in the game already is a pretty good indicator that he is), why doesn't he let the founders get some of that windfall? Why can't they get a years' worth of free gameplay for slapping down $50 30 months before it releases?
So to me, it's less about what is in the game than their business model.
Raise your hand if you think Jacobs is going to put his $2 million into the pot first, and if they come up to some unexpected issues that prevents the game from being released, they go about refunding all the Kickstarters.... anyone?

Yep agree with you on this one:" what I don't understand is..." you realy don't understand the whole idea behind kickstarter. Thats ok. Not everybody has to understand everything. What a sad world would it be if there would be only rocket scientist...
A thought occurs - by now it has been said a million times there will be no PVE. Asking why there is no PVE in CU is like asking on the WoW forums why the Jedi is not one of the playable classes. Anyone bringing up PVE at this point is most likely a troll, so report them. Even if their posts look civil, their intention is clearly to troll, which is bannable on these forums I hope.
So you feel that I should get banned from this website because I suggest a system that would increase the revenue and therefore the viability of the game? I'm suddenly a troll because I offer a suggestion? I think the definition of trolling is posting excessive negative comments. Now I am offering a suggestion, and you feel justified to call me a troll. Who is the one posting negative comments again?
It simply stands to reason that this is a niche title that would probably be a lot better off if it simply had a PvE server. I don't see how this is such a bad thing.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
Most of the ppl posting don't really care if the game has no pve. It's the hypocrisy of OP and those defending it that keep this thread going.
Nothing wrong with a pvp only mmo. The market needs more but...every pve mmo ever made had millions of mirror image threads of this one in them. Were the pvp players just trolling with those threads or did they see a game they'd like to play but also wanted the style of play they play most of the time added to the game.

Pretty much this. Asking for PvE content / PvE servers in CU, Darkfall, &c., most of the time seems to be entirely understandable countertrolling by folks sick of incessant demands for open-world PvP / PvP servers &c. in games that were designed ground up as PvE-centric (e.g. LOTRO) or with strictly separated PvE & PvP (GW2). Personally I'm all in favour of there being PvP-centric MMO games if only in the hopes of keeping such folks out of the games I play and their forums.

I dont understand how you can even have a game with a PVE server, with no PVE mobs.

Well, if that was truly the case, and I (and maybe others) were posting simply because of spite for having the polar opposite type posts constantly in PvE forums, then it would be likely that you wouldn't see me post again in this thread. I would have "made my point" so to speak.

CU isnt trying to be the next hype train MMO, you've got Archage, Wildstar, ESO and whatever other flash in the pan MMO in the making for that. CU is a niche game, its aiming for a specific market of players and it aint gaming hoping PvEers.
Originally posted by eyelolled I think it is just as important to have PvE servers in CU as it is to have OW-PvP servers in GW2. I don't know why CU fans are having such a hard time accepting that PvE servers would be a inexpensive boon to the game.
Then they would have to change their plan and put resources into pve content. Basically giving them us half the pvp value because it gets diluted by the pve servers.
If you look at WAR, how many people were doing the pve quests in that game? There was a ton of quests but people focused on the pvp. So the pve in that game could be considered a waste of dev resources. So he is avoiding that from the start by not doing pve. It makes a certain sense.

Please enlighten us how totaly redisigning the game from pvp leveling to pve leveling adding tons of dif mobs mpb spawns quests with lenghty text to explain why you need to kil said mobs would be inexpensive in any way.
