I and many of my friends played SWG at launch but left due to the length of the grind mastering every profession then getting lucky enough to come across the correct sequence of actions to become a Jedi.

I came back for the free trial a year ago, Tatooine was a ghost town compared to the launch, too depressing.
This time around the emersion into the Star Wars universe is apparent even before you land. No longer do you need to be a high level player to enjoy interacting with your favorite characters. The entrance tutorial quest missions are a delight, so much that I subscribed once again. To my surprise, Tatooine was busy, new players and vets alike.
Jump To Light speed is included, and is quite a challenge, both physically as it is mentally. Leveling up in different ships, configuring capacitors, engines, shields, etc... To get maximum performance then learning how to fly each one and complete your missions is very rewarding. PvP is a 100% nonstop adrenaline rush. Don't miss out!
NGE is what SWG should have been at launch. If you were an early subscriber, I would at least give the free trial a look over.

Atleast on farstar all the populated areas are no more and even Mustafar has noone there I know RATS (the guild im in) most of the people there are leaving including me and even the leader
It's sad! SOE will really see the results of the NGE in 6 months time
HAHA I'd make the "Rats leaving the sinking ship" joke, but it'd be too obvious.

Hey Div, this is a good point. The average swg fan maintains however that this aspec is not unique to mmo-style games....in fact...SWG is just like any other one out there now and lacks the appeal it had before.....and....sadly....you're in the new player tutorial still...it's designed to keep your attention..in fact, that seems to be getting rave reviews on every new person playing....but us 2 year vets maintain it's a nice little smokescreen that will evaporate once you reach about lvl 30....grinding will still be there then....only the combat will be a hundred fold more difficult due to collision detection bugs.
(for the record...if SWG had been this at start, I'd probably still be playing ....but it's not.....and it wasn't.....the old game engine was not "fast-paced star warsy feel"...i admit this....but it was the star wars universe...and i lived IN it...not on top of it....I didn't care to meet han solo...I served the empire and bought and sold products and services and met ppl and did my thing....I had a choice....and I had pets....that no longer work....I had the ability to chat while in combat....no longer....I leave now because this game is not unique now....and so do the rest (more than half) of us. We do support your right to like it. But in fact, SOE has misled the playerbase for so long that we are fed up.
Fadeus if you are so concerned about those in Africa why not cancel all of your MMO accounts and give the money you would usualy spend on them to charities for Africa...

Do you have any clue what your talking about? I didn't make the statement about Africa, maybe you should work on your reading skills?
