EQII and WoW are only half ass PvP. Still better than nothing for PvP lovers out there. Myself, I would love to play a true 100% PvP (kill anyone an time) until they make a good one, half ass or no PvP it makes no difference to me.
Both WoW and EQ2 look great, I plan to play them both to see which I like best. Also since EQ2 comes out long before WoW, maybe I will be done with EQ2 by the time WoW comes out.
Of Course Horizons comes out half a year or more before either of these though so Horizons first.
Oh and Lineage 2 or course, though I have no clue when it comes out.

EQII's graphics are sad. they were made to look realisitic, but SOE tried so hard to make them so that everything in EQII is now bland, and plastic looking. WoW's on the other hand have a distinct style of art to them, and are exciting(both in character and environmental art).
id love to see a new big name 2d mmorpg. ive been playing 3d for a while now, but i remember having alot more fun with 2d ones. graphics dont mean anything, and some 2d games looks good anyway.

But still, the game you worship EQ doesn't have very good graphics, swg does have amazing graphics on the other hand and i didn't even play most of my free trial i was so bored on it. I know graphics are important, but that's one of those things that are good but you can do without it. But if there was no good gameplay involved, it would just bomb. So you should consider other things besides graphics is what i'm trying to say, gameplay being definitley one of them.

i dont think murt really cares, he just loves to hide his spam and make it look like usefull or vital info that we all need to know... i say we take him out back and shoot him... any other takers?
There are other games that i would easily consdier like dark and light or maybe dragons empire.
Now if EQ2 is as good as EQ1 fine.But bear in mind that many of the original creators of EQ1 left when verrant was full taken over.
So essentially that is not a good sign because no one can understand the creation better then the creator.So really the vision of EQ might not be really there.
Take ruins of kunark last expansions made with the complete EQ creation team.Best expansion to date most would say.
Take scars of velious most of the team still there,some say second best ever expansion.
Then it goes downhill as more and more are replaced.Yes the programmers might be more seasoned and more talented that SoE brought in(just look at the graphics of SWG and EQ2) but do they really have the vision of what EQ is about and what makes it so addictive?
This is the same reason I am very skeptical of UO X myself.
WoW yes the game was great fun to play but a bit.But right now all it has is the logo.
I would reserve judgement till I play them(yes i am one of those that don't listen to reviews and actually try games out for myself LOL).
But horizons is nearer and i am gonna give it a go.

We don't know how good they will be when they're out but i voted for WoW since i am SWG subscriber (soon not anymore) and i see how Sony "performs" and treats their costumers.
EQ has done so well now, they just throw their money at any problems. They probably hired the best there is just to do their graphics, and probably didn't realize that not everyone can afford a 3000 dollar computer.
I haven't seen as much cool features and combat that WoW has shown us and this is only from alpha. Don't get me wrong, I'd go crazy if EQ2 was a success, i don't really care which game succeeds as long as theres one good game to play in the long run, but for now i just have a feeling it will be WoW.

hmmm... WoW looks like it will be a godly game, as can be read in the CGW artical, and anywhere else you can find WoW info, and EQ2 looks horrible...
