scaling what... Level scaling? No thank you.
Actually, what they need to do is make your encounters more tough when you go back to a lower level zone. Even with the scale down you are still OP due to the gear and stuff. IT needs to be more challenging, but it needs to be there. Its ok if you dont like it but making the game more like the rest its not what the game needs.
being harassed by mobs at all levels is never fun. I can understand being harrassed at higher levels but not at low levels. My friends have said the same thing, it's a chore to play, and getting beat on all the time without breaks makes the game lame. Not many people on anymore.... you noticed? the game needs help, maybe kites will bring them back (LOL)... for me to come back I need to be a little more OP in lower level areas so I can relax *instead of tense up all the time) while I play. IMHO
According to MMORPG experts GW2 is the super duper easiest game ever.
No, I'vent noticed lack of people.
Currently playing: GW2 Going cardboard starter kit: Ticket to ride, Pandemic, Carcassonne, Dominion, 7 Wonders

There's a sour grape in every bunch.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
So if you bought money after April 1st and before June 30th you got a Bazaar themed kite.
They are practically noncombat pets, but they float above you and have same type of physics to them as hair has. They also move with your character if you do emotes such as dance. Funniest thing is probably having a warrior do the spin bug and then take out his kite.
Screen.
This is probably the greatest thing I have ever seen in a computer game! Yet again Anet has exceeded expectations!
Not as cool as the party Jawa was in SWTOR but new fluff is new fluff i guess and if a Kite is enough to be called Amazing i dont think A Net will have to worry about there game for a long time to come.
Maybe we all should learn from the GW2 fans and be happy about the small stuff instead of always wanting to get something good.
Kites are cool but not my style. Working on the flute right now, hoping we get some percussion and maybe a lute/guitar soon. Instruments you can actually play, love it!!!
Not many people on anymore.... you noticed? the game needs help, maybe kites will bring them back (LOL)...
I dont know what game you play, but the state of this one game I play is very healthy. And if the tradeoff for not having whiners like you in there is to have monsters to fight, I cant complain.
Also there is something called prime hours, people cant be on always.
Picture just to prove you wrong. In here you can see how bad the game is doing. EU servers are not at high as this point because people are working.

I think people that don't play something because they don't like it, think it means it is destined to fail. As in the individual you are replying to must dislike GW2, and has to make sarcastic comments to make others think as he does. /shrug
The game is very, very, healthy and hasn't lost a single server in all this time. How many newly released games can boast that fact?

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
Ugh, to me this is silly fluff. I hate this stuff. No one will even bring them out in a few weeks. To me it s a waste of time making them, free or not.
Every bit of "fluff" is called immersion and that is what role playing is about. If you don't care for it then don't use it. /shrug
People get upset when there isn't enough content, and others choose to complain there is too much.
Hate to disagree, but to me it's immersion breaking. The silly non-realistic stuff.
GW2 is silly and non-realistic. If that's immersion breaking to you, that's no fault of the kites.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
So when WoW added pet battles with a corresponding quest chain, and a fairly involved rock paper scissors ability system as well as overhauling pretty much every pet in the game in order to create a pokemon game within WoW, it was derided and a joke.
But GW2 get's kites and it's amazing, or even "really fun fluff" is hyperbole isn't your thing.
Who know, maybe GW2 will get a 2 week content update with something called the Lightmoon Circus with a bunch of mini-games and people will wet themselves!

Amjoco - what MMO is realistic? Where you play a dwarf? elf?, Panda? I could go on. MMO's are NOT supposed to be realistic at all and that is the point.
Not many people on anymore.... you noticed? the game needs help, maybe kites will bring them back (LOL)...

I m so sick of shit like this. It proves nothing, as I can freely log into a so called "full" server with no que, getting into the game, or entering any area. Those full/high/.... mean nothing, they re just words they put in there, to make the game seem fuller then it is. GW2 isn t the only game to do this either.

I think you misquoted me.
I'm all full of imagination and love difference in it. I reckon folks that are complaining about it shouldn't be playing any fantasay rpg if they dislike it.

You can vomit in your shoes if that is what you care to do, but there are thousands of people playing. You may be right about the server status, but you aren't right about the number of people playing that reflect the big orange words.

And you know this how? It s a load, the servers are not that busy, not in the least. Maybe a couple, but no way are they all, as I ve checked many of them.

You really hate this game too much, please dont post in these forums anymore because it will not profit you in the slightest.
Fact is, there are tons of people on every single one of these servers, so many that they are nearly full. Meta events have so many people on them that you cant see them all, every single day.
Lions Arch will send you to an overflow once outside prime hours, and every time on prime hours.
Nothing you say will deny the fact that the game is brimming healthy that many devs and publishers would do anything to get to this point. The playerbase is not as big as WoW, and will probably never reach that point, but there are plenty enought players and best of all, none of them is whiner.

wow so intense over nothing.
Also flying kites is far from a kid's sport. There are so many kite clubsout there for adults that have members who display amazing creations. There are also kite festivals.
Additionally your remark is a bit ironic since "video games" are also considered "kiddie" stuff by some.

Logging in has nothing to do with it...you can't possibly see the entire game world. They have masterly used culling to help each server, and what you see isn't necessarily what really is.
Anyway, this thread is about Kites, not how many folks are playing. I for one say anything added to any game that enhances the feel of the world is a plus.

I think all this backlashing only happened because the OP picked a really stupid title.
"Added something amazing" and a cosmetic fluff item really shouldn't go together.

I don't know where all the hate is coming from. It's not intended to be a game changer, just kinda fun.
