Mount & Blade for sure. There's already a few MMO's that are stealing bits here and there. Truly a skill based combat system.
The only problem I see is that there are a lot of complainers saying they can't figure it out. I'm not sure if the typical MMO player has the attitude to embrace a challenging combat system. It's not twitch, but something closer than most games.
*I actually preferred BG over Vampire, but think Vampire would make a better MMO
MMO games played or tested: EQ, DAoC, Archlord, Auto Assault, CoH, CoV, EQ2, EVE, Guild Wars, Hellgate: London, Linneage II, LOTRO, MxO, Planetside, SWG, Sword of the New World, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard, WWIIOL, WOW, Age of Conan
I always wanted morrowind:elder scrolls 3 to have some type of multiplayer to it, at the time that type of openess in a game was new to me, and would of loved it if it let me play with friends.
I think they should do Dungeons and Dragons, set in Toril (Forgotten Realms) not this BS they doing now, and make it 2nd edition, not third. hehe other than that I think......Vampire, or something that promotes community play would rock. OOOOH AND A CYBERPUNK GENRE WOULD ROCK
I agree, Morrowind would make an amazing MMO, though they would have to cut some stuff out, like being able to kill at random, or actually making the NPCs respawn after they die, and not just the gaurds, and make the gaurds like, unable to be killed
didnt feel like reading all the posts, so sry if i repeat.
Id say GTA series, even if it was just small amount of ppl, just you and your friends working, doin jobs, killing, just messing around with cars and stuff.
My appologies if this has already been said, but I didn't feel like reading back through.
I've been saying for a long time that the Mechwarrior series would make a great MMO. To have an actual character, with the option of buying different Mechs and equipment for the Mechs but also being an actual human with a gun going into shops to buy things or talk to people. The game could have PvE combat against aliens and such, and of course would be great PvP with different clan factions and player made guilds.

Freelancer: a mix between SWG and Eve-Online
1=> FALLOUT
2=> Vampire The Masquerade
Grand Theft Auto Online would be pretty cool, I believe that's what All Point(s) Bulletin is going to be like, but still, Grand Theft Auto Online FTW.

No Userbar here, sorry to disappoint.
Morrowind of course

All mine have already been mentioned, I think, but I'll add my votes.
Baldur's Gate, or a MMORPG set in the Forgotten Realms world.
Heroes of Might and Magic.
Vampire the Masquerade.
Fallout.
Wizardry (Sir-Tech).

I would love to see Vampire MMORPG
but I'll also add a vote for AvP

How about a 3D MMoRPG based on either Might and Magic or Baulders Gate 2 ...
I would like to see skills like a combo of "Thief" and "Tomb Raider" for Warrior + Rogue classes.
Combining the best of many other game skills and spellcaster systems would probably be impossible...
How many people have had their imagination sparked by games like UO, Thief, Tomb Raider series, M59, Daggerfall, EQ1.
remember 20 years ago it started with Pong
It may happen in my life time
FALLOUT
FALLOUT 2
FALLOUT TACTICS

Add votes to
-Fallout

Well, i know theres a few small mods, but the sheer size of GTA:San andreas is just asking to be made into an MMORPG
Fallout becouse of the setting.

Morrowind hands down that would be pretty cool...

Just a dream perhaps, but an extremely fun one.
