By the time I get to V10, ESO will be a distant memory for the OP, who will have made level-cap in 3 new MMO's by then. Whatever rings your bell !
My 3 main characters are all L10 now, and I'm having a huge amount of fun. The plan is to keep them within 5 levels of each other at all times. ESO was made for people like me, I think.
If i start judging everything in this world by group of people surrounding me than this is the most perfect and safe world i live in..but that is not true now is it.
No. Judge it by the people who are not around you...especially on the internet. Much surer bet, right?
I judged the game on my own accord while you keep downplaying experince of others on basis of your own as well your guildies.
This is very old tactic. Someone complains about the game and fans barge in talking about how everything is fine with them and their guildies and neighbours and what not. And the issue at hand gets lost in there some where.
Not nearly as old as the tactic of characterizing whiners and drama queens as true MMOers speaking the truth and dismissing those who are having a positive experience as deluded fanbois.
My experience in-game bears no resemblance to what is hysterically described here on a daily basis. This is apparently also the same experience as several others posters in this thread. And this is also the same experience that we talk about in our TS server all day long while we play.
The only downplaying going on here is you trying to characterize my opinion and that of those I play with and whose opinions I trust the most about this game, as a debating tactic.
I can see how our opinions would be inconvenient for those who are intent in "proving" through the incontrovertible evidence of forum posts that the game is broken and unplayable.
Give your head a shake. Doesn't the existence of thousands of players who are 50+ and are playing in the other alliance areas tell a different story? Or are we just the lucky thousands who somehow, maybe though divine intervention, managed to accomplish what conventional mmorpg posting wisdom says can not be done because there are too many game-breaking bugs?
Way to dismiss the evidence staring you in the face.

Evidence? sure so much overwhelming evidence in my face for sure but not the one you are talking about.
How is plugging your own wonderful experince in ever topic about people talking about bugs and dupes / exploits is relevant by the way? whats the purpose of repeating yourself with same line in every post critical of the game?
I tell you why you do that. You do that to downplay and trivialize his experince. I call it they way i see it.
OP never mentioned his guildies or his neighbours to give this illusion of large group of people agreeing with him to give more weight to their opinion..that was you.
I don't know why you are even 'proving' anything here when OP is simply sharing his leveling experince with us. What is this need to 'prove' him wrong when he is not even posting this topic with that intention?
If you stop approaching topics which doesn't shine a positive light on ESO and fill you with farm fuzzy feeling, with this 'i have to prove him wrong' attitude..majority of topics will end quite well.
But no we must fight every poster who dares say something negative about ESO and we must prove him wrong. Who knew an opinion of some random person on internet could be such a threat to ESO and its future.

Now, I have no idea who you are nor do I care enough about it to look at your posting history. But I do have to wonder why you feel so threatened by me saying the game is not broken.
Had a bad experience did you?

Threatened? no just tired of reading the same BS by the fanbase moment someone shares his experince with ESO that isn't 100% positive.
What is strange is that OP wasn't even 'bashing' the game but simply sharing his experince. I doubt he was looking to prove anything or a debate on how is experince is more or less valid than yours.
By they way being a fan isn't a bad thing. i am myself a fan of many games but there is difference between being a simple happy fan and an obnoxious fan just looking to put others down for having a different opinion.
If you had not shamelessly plugged your own fuzzy experince with the game and mentioned your 'many' guildies i wouldn't even bother to quote you. To me it looked like you were simply trying to discreet someone who just wanted to share his leveling experince and annoyance with quest bugs.
The whole 'game has minor bugs but not unplayable' argument was brought by you and not OP. Its like as if you wanted to start and argument out of nothing.
Had about 5 quests which were completely broken (as in can't complete) on the way to 50. Not exactly "horribly broken" - given that's about 2% of all the quests on the way to 50. Not to mention several patches have been pushed already which fixed the majority.
Sure, there's been server errors and mistakes made, there's been progression blocking bugs - welcome to any MMO launch. I love how people on the internet are so quick to share their glowing reviews of GW2 and SWTOR now, despite what a disaster both their launches were. It's like people forget MMO launches after 3 months entirely.
I'm not gonna say it hasn't had annoying problems like having to relog, having a few broken quests and some skills which are broken but to sit around saying everything is broken and the company is doomed if they don't fix it? Utter bull.
Did veteran 1, 2 days ago. Had 4 Buggy quests out of 300-400? I dont know, yesterday I just did them after things got fixed. Loading screen bugs a few times entering PVP zones when they are full (guess the que system bugs).
Sometimes when I walk the screen pauses for like 3 seconds, happens maybe 1-2 times in 8 hours playing.
Joined 4 guilds with atleast 100-200 members each, like 1 or 2 out of all cry about a few bugs, rest is discussing stuff.
Yeah the 4 quests really annoyed me since I waned to see the WHOLE content so this contains all quests aswell, and yeah I heard people had bugs where I had none, can imagine they are annoyed aswell.
But the only BIG problem I have in this game at the moment are those SUPER GODMODE VAMPIRE SLAYERS in pvp tanking 50 people and killing 30 of them alone
A group with 3 SUPER GODMODE VAMPIRE SLAYERS destroy a whole keep, this is pvp breaking and totally crap. but thats something can get fixed or nerfed I hope.
P.S maybe cried about buggy quests while they just did them wrong, explained them the right way to do and got answered "oooops"

That is the problem here. For you that is bashing for me bashing is when people say stuff like 'this game suck it will go F2P in X months' and the usual trolling that goes on here.
If that is enough to flip your buttons then i am afraid you will spend majortiy of your time here trying to 'prove' people wrong or maybe you already do.

You're talking about the dumbest form of bashing... which all can understand. Other forms are not quite as obvious to everyone.
Speaking of majority of the time.... you're the one who seems to live here these days trying to prove negative shit about the game... why is that?

Yep... After 3 weeks of tedious leveling through some of the buggiest content since [insert MMO here] I've finally become a veteran. In fact I'm now veteran rank 2 after 12 hours of being a veteran. Now it's only a matter of time until I reach veteran 10 but my god, I don't know if I can continue with the intense amount of bugs in this game. The last 3 weeks ended with my 5 levels under leveled and forced me into grinding zombies to 50.
On a brighter note my guild (Elite Guard) took two Elder Scrolls last night from Daggerfall. That was quite enjoyable.
Bah, they obviously didn't put in enough game breaking bugs, in order to prevent anyone from reaching level 50 until at least 3 months has gone by.
Since you easily surpassed that goal, I'm thinking there's really not all that many issues to circumvent and you are needlessly complaining.
You got there, didn't take that much time or effort, and you can continue forward. Come back to us when you have some real issues.
BTW, in the same time period, I've reached level.... 29. Let me know how Wildstar end game is, I think I'm going to be here a while.

I am not really sure if I would play a game if it would be "tedious" to get to cap lvl. The moment a game begins to feel tedious the game and me will part.
I have ran into 1 not working quest (Last-to-water Soul's Crystal. When encoutering the bug it took 2 day's before it was fixed but it was a none issue had plenty of other ingame things to do.
Ran into the launcher issue (version error) work around with the Original ESO.exe, seems pretty much fixed. Yet have noticed or perhaps it's coincidence then when swapping US launcher to EU launcher after will give the same version error. Still got my eso.exe on desktop just in case.
Had the long load times where the only solution was to CTRL/ALT/DELETE but for some reason only with one toon (my Wood Elf Nightblade) with my other toons I didn't experiance it that much.
Seeing and reading the complaints about the game makes me just take my time with my characters. Seeing most of the complaints come from higher leveled area's/quests before I get there hopefully those "issue's" will be fixed and of course hope they fixe most of it asap for those already there.
For now really enjoying the game. Already know there is going to be a break end of next month with Watchdogs coming out finaly.
A few months back I thought I would mix Wildstar with ESO but didn't think to find my own niche that quick already in ESO. So Wildstar will remain on my still want to play list.
I recall the OP doing a similar post in FF14. He was an early finisher, I remember when he posted that he got his Artemis Weapon before most other players. And I was like "WTF????" But, this is how OP plays MMOs. So, does that justify statements like "You must not have had that many problems if you got there this quickly."? OP said he had to push through bugged content to get to where he is and said he felt he didn't want to repeat the experience. Who is anyone else to qualify that opinion or to find reasons why that opinion should not be a valid one? If your experience was awesome and you loved the game, That's great! No one should come into your posts and invalidate you claiming that your full of it because there was no way you got through all that content without hitting many bugs. See how ridiculous that sounds? Yet that's what some of you are doing to OP
P.S maybe cried about buggy quests while they just did them wrong, explained them the right way to do and got answered "oooops"
This actually makes me wonder. I hardly encounter any broken quests. There was one in an AD zone where you had to duel some guys but you couldn't interact with them, but that was right at launch. I'd say 1 out of a 100 may not phase correctly.
I see a good number of people crying about quests every night as I'm turning in the supposedly broken quest. Maybe they clicked through the dialogue so fast they picked a crappy choice and didn't notice that now they have to do something annoying. I've done that a few times. And if you don't have *hints on and aren't tracking that particular quest you may not even see the annoying choice you made.
OP said he had to push through bugged content to get to where he is and said he felt he didn't want to repeat the experience. Who is anyone else to qualify that opinion or to find reasons why that opinion should not be a valid one?
Oh IDk... maybe someone who had a different experience?
So you figure a thread like this in a public forum should only have responses like "Grats OP... yes, it's buggy as hell...worst bugged game since like forevah!" And everyone else should just STFU?
The validity of his or my experiences are irrelevant when any reasonable person with any degree of reading comprehension can see that this thread is yet another "the game is a buggy mess...worst evah!" post.
Especially valid would be the comments from those of us who are also 50+ (VR3 here) and didn't think the bugs were THAT fucking overwhelming.
And god forbid that I should mention that I know many other VR players who are quite happy and that the OP's opinions about what it was like to get to VR1 and his trepidation about getting to VR10 are niche, at best.
No let's talk about how we should post instead lol.

What??? No really..... Why don't you just pull a whole bunch more crap outta your arse and attach the comment "so you figure...." to it?
That way you can make more s**t up and then attack me as though I said it.
VR ranks are soft-gated at the moment and definately not fun. Getting VR10 is a lot of work and painful gaming hours which I personally don't enjoy.
I went from 1-V3 in about 2,5 days played without having played anything other than 2hours of the final beta weekend. Took a week off from the game and now I started a new toon.
The game is actually suprisingly fun from 1-V1 but the veteran ranks at the moment are complete bull.
Mainly because they dropped the veteran xp (VP) to 1/10th what it originally was to "soft-gate" the ranks. This was done because they don't want people to run out of "content" before they release of craglorn.
My recommendation is to stay away from the veteran ranks until they change things around.

Isn't this somewhat hypocritical of you Geezer?
You start by talking about how 'this is just how the OP plays games', and then say 'so who are we to qualify his opinions?'
You then follow this up by presenting the reverse perspective of 'if you had positive experiences of the game, that's great! No one should come into your posts and invalidate you...'.
You've criticized others for doing this; while proceeding to invalidate other posters who are saying nothing more than 'I've had positive experiences of the game'.
If you're going to try to tell others what to say, it might not be a bad idea to practice what you preach.

but you aren't qualifying the OP's opinions. You are qualifying the OP's motivations. There is a huge difference.
See, the OP spelled out very clearly later in this thread exactly why he said he didn't want to level another character. He gave the list of issues. Why not tackle the list instead of making the presumption to know what motivating factors the OP has for playing this game. In other words, you can't address the reasons the OP gave, so you criticize the OP's motivations, that is nothing more that one big Ad-Hom attack against OP. I am addressing that behavior. There is no Ad-Hom there. When I made my post, I didn't single out any one other poster, only a behavior. You must have read that and identified with it. That's on you not me. I hadn't accused you of anything........Well, until now.
But now, your post is an Ad-Hom against me. Instead of trying to take issue with the behavior I suggested for the value that it has (or lack there of), your response is to try to discredit me personally.

Maybe you missed this part of the OP: "After 3 weeks of tedious leveling through some of the buggiest content since [insert MMO here]"
No he wasn't bashing at all...nope... no way.... no how... he was just sharing his experience..that's the ticket.
You don't even know what you're talking about do you?
That is the problem here. For you that is bashing for me bashing is when people say stuff like 'this game suck it will go F2P in X months' and the usual trolling that goes on here.
If that is enough to flip your buttons then i am afraid you will spend majortiy of your time here trying to 'prove' people wrong or maybe you already do.
*shrugs*
You're talking about the dumbest form of bashing... which all can understand. Other forms are not quite as obvious to everyone.
Speaking of majority of the time.... you're the one who seems to live here these days trying to prove negative shit about the game... why is that?
2 days ago i started posting here. It would hardly qualify as 'living' here. But for someone who considers anything negative about ESO as bashing i can understand why you would think that i am 'living ' here to prove negative shit about the game.
Its impossible to have discussion with likes of you who are so emotionally vested in a video game. They can't think objectively.
Level 48 about to ding 49 here. To the OP... holy crap dude I've only ran across 3 hard bugged quests and minor issues otherwise. Bugged quests BC and Motes are fixed now though, going back to try the 3rd after work today.
OP, What server and alliance are you on? I'm on NA in the Dominion.

There is a difference between weighing the good and the bad and only focusing on an extremely negative outlook, or on critiquing anyone who has anything positive to say about the game. So - have at it. What positive opinions about the game are other people allowed to have? What could they say that you would not argue with?

Gratz OP !
I guess...

A lot of words to say the same shit: "dismiss what he says for he's a fanboi."

Oh IDk... maybe someone who had a different experience?
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”
― CD PROJEKT RED
What??? No really..... Why don't you just pull a whole bunch more crap outta your arse and attach the comment "so you figure...." to it?
That way you can make more s**t up and then attack me as though I said it.
LOL, Nice.
Gratz brother. I too dinged last night. It's a whole new game out in Cyrodiil huh Refreshing to know that my devious character building mind is just as tortuous as it's ever been!
Pro tip - If what you built sub 50 works some of the time, post 50 it will work most the time. Hang in there.
