Like i said before .. ESO is a half-baked Elder Scrolls game in a half-baked MMO shell
For the first time i have to agree with the 5/10. Shit i would have said 4/10 or even 3/10.
I really wanted ESO to be something great but in the end it failed hard.
Just like Joe said there are many bugs, everything is rehashed to an extreme state (buildings, dungeons, models, monsters), lack of color, meaningless PvP, boring PVE quests with great voice acting (LoL?), and DUPES EVERYWHERE!!!! For fucks sake i have sent 100 tickets from beta to release and nothing got changed until what a few days ago? But they only fixed a few of the 6 dupe methods.
The game is great for the first few days until it dawns onto your face that this game is the same fucking thing over and over. VR content is just more leveling to do for NOTHING! Why must we be forced to quest? Why can't we just play PVP to level? WTF happened to dungeon XP? The answer lies in the horrid company named ZeniMax!
Well, the review was ok I think.
I played the ESO beta for a while, and then decided not to purchase the game. The combination of cash shop + initial purchase + subscription fee was just far too much, considering that the game didn't seem to offer somethig so amazing that I'd never have it in another game.
Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

My Thoughts on Content Locust
The only game review that is worth anything is my own review of the game, I liked it and i play it. Don't see why anyone would play or not play a game based on someone others opinion other then their own.
I prefer to make my own opinion rather then have someone tell me my opinion of something.

Because GW2 is a better designed game. Even if the game itself had crap staying power and the ideas in it didn't pan out the way the developers envisioned. It seems like people are gut reacting to the score again without even knowing what that score means. It does NOT mean that someone is going to absolutely dislike the game guaranteed, it is indicative of problems with the design of the game that may eventually impact someones enjoyment of the game. If the issues AJ mentioned in the review aren't a problem for you all the more power to you.

Only you can decide if and how much you will like a game. Reviews are worth a grain of salt. Everyone has an opinion and theirs might align with yours most of the time, but that doesn't mean their opinion is for everyone. Don't base your opinion of a game off someone's review without bothering to try the game. Don't say, "This game sucks!" just because someone else does. Play it or keep your opinions to a, "This game doesn't appeal to me enough to purchase it," level.
sounds like your confusing the two first impressions videos AJ did for ESO, one on the PVE side of the game, which oddly enough, was rated very badly, and the second was the for PVP only side of the game, which he was much more impressed by, that btw, hasn't changed that much, if you check out the video's again you will see what i mean. At no point was there any 'admission of being wrong' in that at least you were entirely mistaken, just 2 first impression video's on different aspects of the game, with wildly differing results, much as is the actual ESO review video, the PvE scored badly because of all the problems and the grouping issues, not to mention the 101 broken things in quests etc, the PvP side of the game scored higher because it actually works better, but its not great even so because even that hasn't escaped the general 'bugginess' of the game, hence the overall score of only 5/10. What needs to happen is for Zenimax to fix their game, and then it be reviewed again. Remember the score is based on the game in its current state, which frankly, is not good.

-WoW had a bad launch. idc if it released ages ago. also even new ones are not good. it is customary for mmos to have bugs and stuff at launch. man up that's how it is at release. if you pay first you are "served" first
- Who is Joe? he is a random guy with funny threads around here. until we have a drink together and i know him better i just can't accept him. whether he proof some of the things he says with videos or not doesn't matter at all. listen to me i am not a random guy ok?
- he posted lots of ESO reviews. well the previous ones are not reviews and i know it but since he used that word i am gonna bash him haha. there is a chance that he might change his score and review too so how can i ever trust him? how can you? plus his videos doesn't have lots of views as i thought it would i was right after all.
- he gave the Witcher 2 an 8. DA2 a 7. how could he? DA2 is so bad it makes seagulls cry. even though the Witcher 1 shared at least some of DA2 problems i am gonna ignore it cuz we hate EA. i mean he loved DA: Origins so he had lots of expectations right? so why is he not bashing DA2 enough?

-I project my own life onto Joe such as to bring him down to my level with such ferocity that I blew a hole in my wall. Also he is obviously just in the crowd and aching to burn games like he usually does (oh wait..).
Because paying $60 to discover if a game is bad or not, in the face of many reported problems and/or shortcomings, is dumb.

Meanwhile Angry Joe is at 302 k views on his ESO review. Yup the guy is a nobody but 300,000 people in a day viewed that video. So that many people have watched the bugs on ESO . I'd be worried if I were Zenimax.
The IGN review in this section has 20 replies 545 views as opposed to the 348 posts and 5309 views on this thread and you guys are still questioning Angry Joe's impact.
Don't listen to OFFICIAL reviews. Too many are subject to advertiser dollars.
The best you can hope for is reading player reviews and the odd bit at one of the video sites.

Exactly! We should be listening to sources like IGN who live in glorious homes funding by the game companies who pay them for a favorable review to hear what they have to say about a game! They know how to give a fair and balanced review of how good the game is based off the money the company throws at them to give such a great review ignoring silly things like "Flaws or issues" that are just silly points we should worry about!
Sounds legit and totally not a way to get ripped off buying bad games for listening to a paid for review!
