The alpha server is over crowded and there still a lot of building land that has not been put in the game yet. There will be a lot more space and only subs can build on the them when the game comes out.

I'd like to see the "intro" quests provide a special  "temporary" (3 day) quest farm, and zone the areas around the questgiver for ONLY those quest farms. That wouild give the player the means to complete the quest, learn the game mechanics and automatically remove the farm, providing space for following players.

Players would have to move on to other zones to plant a permanent scarecrow.

There are limited time (7 days) farm zones in the starting areas.

A lot of the big guilds will be moving to the 100% PVP territory freeing up land space for WereCarebears (PVE & OWPVP) in the conflicted territories.  When I first started playing there were spots still available in Peace/War areas.  Don't bug out yet.

What a troll it would be if all the big PvP guilds jumped in at launch, filled up all the safezone land with their own houses and farms, then refused to sell any of them in hopes of driving everyone into the kill zones!

    That would almost be funny.

Well, maybe not so funny for Trion.  Of course they could always open a new server now and then.  Which might be worth waiting for.  Especially if transfers are pricey.  I know Russia had so many servers it was ridiculous.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

If they fix it as you say I am not playing. There shouldn't be enough land for every one to buy a large farm, only the rich and dedicated should get one. If they do what you say there will be no market, not to mention if there is so much land there is no feeling of power, and prestige of owning a huge plot of land. Sounds just like uo, and real life if you want a huge castle, or a hundred acre working farm, you gotta earn it. Not just well I guess we should open up ten thousand acres of state land, and split it up equally among every one. That sounds stupid to me, and if they do that I am not playing.

It should be like rl and uo, only a few people should have castles and 100 1000 acre farms. And the most people should live in smaller houses or apartments. I don't even know how you would buy a game claiming to be a sand box, and expect a housing system like wild star where every one can have a house and farm.

Have fun with your one server and Darkfall like numbers then.  But hey, it's a video game that models real life hard ships and inequality issues with even the base parts of the game! Sweet!

Having said that, the open style of the game is appealing to many, myself included.  Bashing on people for wanting everyone in the game to be able to do one of the basic foundations of the game is just idiotic and short sighted.  There needs to be in game limits to what players can do, even in a sandbox. If the game allows a couple thousand early access butt holes to use alts and just squat all of the farm land, then enjoy what I described in my first paragraph.
