Hopefully they will polish their product to the fullest. So I won't mind them releasing it in 6 to 12 months due to World of Warcraft even though Ive waited for this game so long, The MMORPG of all time.
Hm, exactly, it is '05 now. The game was to be released in '03.... then '04. As much as I was hyped about this game 3 years ago, I've taken to only checking up on it a few times a year. It seems hardly nothing has happened (at least that is being released to us). I'd love to hear some rumors about the status of the development team.
Im also a follower of the game .....but before christmas we were promised an update after the holidays. it is now feb 11 05 there is no doubt that this game will be released ,but come on... how long does it take to use fraps and record 3, 5 minute videos load them on to the site then let us have a look see! This game will own all others when it is released it has conceptsof tommorow but at this rate they will be the concepts of yesterday when it is released, so by that time it will be the same ol same ol. I really do not want that to happen. So I am stuck waiting for the promised update.

Yep I first went to their site in 2001, I wish it would come out. It sounds like a SB done right. The faq says it was being internaly tested in 2003. A expantion for WoW may be out before DF.

Yeah, I've been doing the same thing. At least they posted an interview a few days ago, that's a start! ^_^ The beta registration stuff is supposedly going to be coming out soon too, but I won't be holding my breath on that. I really really hope this game doesn't fizzle out, it looks like it will be friggin awesome if they ever get it finished...
I've just started following this game and it looks freakin awesome! I can't wait for it's release, however the most recent things i've read on it is like '04 stuff. It's most definately '05 and i really wish they'd give us some info. Here's to hoping it kicks @$$.
lol omg i was getting bored of EQ today (6/25/05) so i wanted to look for any new released or upcoming games. DF caught my attention right away, so im REALLY looking forward to this. lol i'm going F'in B A N A N A 's over this shiz i hope they release it soon in 2005.
A camera was used to record a member of the team playing Darkfall in its current state. The graphics were not impressive but the movement and combat actions are revolutionary. I was also in MIRC and communicated with one of the dev's. This game will prolly be in closed beta Q4 of this year '05.
Ive looked for weeks for a newb MMORPG, clicked on all the released ones, WoW was obviously a thought since ive followed all of blizzards games since Warcraft. I love Star Wars but i kno all about SWG. and now this. Darkfall........

Im fine on waiting for them to make perfections, graphics are only 1 part, its the gameplay. I cant wait to find a remote island as my pirate base and be a necromancer pirate!!!!!

Indeed and when it is released I will have pie wonderous pie of celebration and this celebration shall last a while before I finally get down to playing Darkfall and making pie in Darkfall and eating the pie in darkfall :P hehehe

Yea. Last year they put it back to this year. I'm not kidding.
They are still commited to a 2004 release but the dev house admits that if the game is not ready in thier oppinion they will set it back further.
The most recent dev update says closed beta testing continues untill they ae ready to bring public in for larger scale testing sometime this summer.

I agree that this will be a great game...but there is NO excuse for not updating us.
If you dont want pressure...dont release info 5 years too early.
Of course there is nothing that we can do to change their mind about their proceedures, but this doesnt bode well for customer service philosophy.
If they are already thinking they can treat us how they want to, whose to say it wont just extend into the management of the game?

my guess, would be sometime in 2006, most likely summer or fall. they would have posted a date by now if it was to be released this year.
Well it is going to have to be atleast in 2006 now because they are just now trying to start a clan beta.
it is hard to beleive that such a game will release! so probably 2007
