Agreed. We just went through all this with ESO. Probably the same folks.

Get caught up in the hype, then see it is not what you thought, now I want a refund. Is it that hard to grasp?

Oh, I totally understand that. It is just an observation. Is that so hard to grasp?

So you understand? Then there is no question why they want to get their money back right?

This has all been done on every other game release, so imho there is no need to discuss the same thing over. Have a nice day.

At what point if ever do you expect these people to ever take any responsibility for their own actions???

Did Carbine hold a gun to their heads and have them subscribe with little to no knowledge about what they were buying?

Are these people really foolish enough to believe hype which is generally 50% wishful thinking and marketing/PR lies? If so a reality check with the lose of their preorder money might be a good life lesson for them seriously.

I'm not a WS fanboi but seriously at some point people have to wake up, wise up, and take accountability for their own actions instead of being puppets and tools every time some PR or marketing guy makes some stupid hype claim.

I truly hope the main reason you aren't going to play isn't because of Kripparians half-assed review!  He played the open beta for a few hours and somehow developed an extensive opinion by also watching others play in recordings.  Something you normally see from Kripp is that he always plays with groups of friends which makes these mmos seem twice as fun.  Whether he did this with Wildstar i do not know, even so, the early game is pretty limited on grouping activities, etc., anyway...  I cant blame you for wanting a refund because the game will likely be f2p someday soon, but dont let kripp's loose judgement on the game change the way you feel about it!  I'm sure most of us wish we could game all damn day like Kripp and provide utterly nothing of substance to our communities, but im part of a casual mmo playing crowd that just wants to play something fun and challenging (with just a bit of depth god-forbid), and be satisfied.  I tend to think Wildstar has the potential to be just that.  Now whether the game is worth 60 bucks in those regards is a whole other argument, sadly..

Maybe he didn't like it because he couldn't cheat or exploit in noob zone...

Inb4 he comes around because everyone is playing and he wants a piece of those views...

Kriparrian didn't play past level 10.  We made a video to draw people to his pages.... you just got trolled hardcore, lol

He said during his live twitch he was gonna avoid this game after playing it for 2 hours(2:12 in video).  He is a blizzard fan, which is alright.

And a crappy MMORPG Player at it.. This is not D3 or PoE... People like him are the reason good games like this get so full of kids. Thankfully his crowd of bottle suckers will not be joining us :)

What Kripp basically said in the WS video is that the game was not fun for the first ten levels.

But that applies to every MMORPG, maybe he's not into the genre at all.

It clearly is.  Laughable too.  Several of these pop up in this community every single time a new MMO releases.  I've tested the game for months, everything they've said it would be that they can even possibly prove at this point they've hit the mark.  Glad I purchased!

Well I see the OP just wanted to be the first to post a refund thread about Wildstar before the rest jump in and post about their so called refund about a video game.

Yeah, especially with an Open Beta going on at the same time....  It was an OPEN BETA. So you watched a review and decided to get a refund when you could have downloaded the client and just formed an opinion of your own?

Because I can of agree, Wildstar does start slow. But man, once you hit level 10, it just jumps at you with an ever expanding flood of content.

So you listened to some internet dude and missed the chance to try yourself. Notice how silly that sounds?

wildstar is a cheap knock off version of wow, even blizzard invest money into quality animators for wow.

    Thanks for posting this.

I'll go get a refund right now. (insert roll eyes here)

Refunds are for faulty defected products or gifted clothes that don't fit, consumer responsibility is lost in today's gaming society it would seem. Getting caught up in a hype train for a game that is pretty much as advertised, is not a legitimate reason to get your money back.

Game doesn't run on what is said to be supported hardware that is working properly? Legitimate reason

Game is broken at it's core? Again a legitimate reason.

How could this game possibly not be what a person thought it was? They were perfectly honest about what type of game they were making, how it worked, as well as what they intended to focus on.

I'm about ready, not for the game but for the community already.

    So I wasted $60... whatever

The purpose of this thread wasn't to find out how to contact Carbine for a refund but to rally people to give the impression that getting a refund is a popular thing to do. Since the poster had found his/her way to the official site to order, I'm sure they are more than capable of finding customer service contacts as well.

OP was already reported when I saw it and hopefully action will be taken since this is flame bait.

Exaggeration makes your valid point dead wrong. It can run on most systems but is having issues with certain ones. This is a known fact. I run with 60+ frames consistently even while recording/streaming. A friend that has a similar system can't seem to get more than 20 frames (still playable, but annoying). If someone doesn't feel like this is something that Carbine will ever fix, then I recommend getting a refund - end of story.

Of course, the OP of this thread was more than capable of going to the original site and get the refund info but created the thread here as a rally cry for those looking for more people to say false statements (or at least exaggerated ones) against the game.

the marked part is what makes my point exactly valid... also, anything below 30 FPS is unplayable because it causes headaches and/or nausea, atleast it does to me.

Also if it was a problem with "some" systems then it wouldn't have such a huge post on official forums. I've played a lot of mmorpgs at launch and never have I seen such a huge FPS problem like I saw with wildstar.

You stopped highlighting too early - I agree with you. Your post implied that this was a universal experience, which it is not.
