Really now this game is just Mass Effect, it plays like it the game also has the same damn plot, oh and with a max level of 20? What is this Guild Wars come on, yes the max is 20 not 30 like they say because your Account level can be 30 but your character will still only be able to wear level 20 armor and all the missions at 20 will be level 20 not 30, also another problem with this game is every damn map has the same missions it's worse than normal mmorpgs, no really if you played the beta you should know this game is 100% the same quests on every freaking map it got old fast.
lol i see destiny bombing from day 1 without a problem 70% of the people who pre ordered it where just doing so to put it on ebay and the game dident sell nearly as much as people think the only version of the game that sold out anywhere was the limited edition and that happins for most games coming closer to x-mas heck wow had 3 epantions that sold out for a week burning crusade lichking and cata all sold out for a week+ in maryland in every gamestop they only sold like 20 copys of destiny at the gamestop closest to me lmfao
When it comes to longevity, as it is now, I'd say Destiny will probably do as well as Diablo 3, since it's loot based FPS RPG game. It has PVP element unlike Diablo 3, but it doesn't have the replay value of Diablo IMHO, so it kind of evens out.
If Bungie manages to push quality DLCs on regular basis, it has the potential to be an outstanding game. If not, people will play it for couple of months and that's it.
Destiny is just Borderlands is it not? a FPS that can be played co-op and is about loot drops, it does the bare minimum to be an MMO. I don't see how 3v3 or 6v6 is next gen. I cant help but feel this hype train will crash and it will be a big one.

Console gamers have been playing mmos since final fantasy 11 and Everquest Adventures. Planetside 2 will be released later this year too on PS4. Currently there are a lot of console gamers playing Final Fantasy 14 ARR

I am a bit confused about the disdain. Is this game trying to be an MMO ? I think it is just a coop game so what is the problem with its popularity. Obviously people enjoy this type of game. I personally loved Mass Effect to death and if this game comes to the PC I will be trying to play , though me and action combat are mortal enemies but I will give it a good old college try.

Lol - I love that "apparently" I didn't know either, all i ever see is half ass bugged up broken pay to win games., I also love the PS2 comparison too, thats about like comparing a pitbull to a flower. Ps2 is a zerg fest and if you're into that then Ps2 is the game for you. The 6v6 pvp in Destiny on the other hand appeals to people who like 6v6 or smaller maps. They can easily Co exist.

I have a nice PC, the Wii U and PS4. I enjoy games on each platform.
So far Destiny is great! Enjoying the heck out of it. Action and atmosphere is tense! Blasting with my Sparrow across the landscape.
I'm just glad I'm finally getting games that will make use of my ps4... Diablo 3 has been goods and now this. Up until now, it's been collecting dust while I jump from mmo to mmo
I don't understand how this game is even REMOTELY a step forward for gaming in any way. Also, FPS games where you shoot "bosses" 10,000 times over the course of 5 minutes are BEYOND retarded. How is this "content"?

Small group oriented FPS games with lobbies and small maps - I tend to play for a month and never go back to them.

For me PS2 is far better than Destiny as far as FPS games go due to bigger battles, *much* better PvP and massive scale.

It´s a step forward in the FPS genre. And after upteenth rehash of CoD and BF versions, Destiny is breath of fresh air!
Been playing hours non-stop and the variation in gameplay and stuff to do is so far impressive. And I have so far only been playing on the Old Russia map. Which is huge. Still haven´t seen more than 30% of it.
I haven´t even touched the Moon yet. Venus and Mars aren´t even showing up yet for me.
If this Russia map is anything to go by, I am honestly eating my words from the past about the game being small!
