Well after waiting for like 12 days for support to remove the fking glyph crapthenticator since it was not working.....and waiting in line for hours in queue just to get into game where i get random game freeze for no reasons what so ever, not to mention the fact that you need to restart the game for any god damn graphic change you make and then wait for 5 hours in queue again <.<
Originally posted by DamonVile So the queue is down to 998 then ? Good to know.
If you are a saddo with nothing better to do with your life than sit in a queue to play a computer game.
In my case i have alot of cool things to do in life and one of then is playing mmorpgs with friends, AA is the only one i want to play now so yeah i need to handle the queue. Is not that hard anyway, i know i need to 5h to enter as a patron, so just need to logg at lunch time to play by evening, meanwhile i do other stuff in life .
Guys wake up, Log in before you got to work. When you come home you will be sat at the choose character screen. If you don't go to work, log on early in the morning and the waiting time is less than 30 mins.
Once in game do like everyone else is doing, Don't log out! Just go back to character select screen and minimise the game then go back to it any time you want.
Just think, After the queues subside to a normal level, then players will start to actually experience the content, and we get to see the flood of threads complaining about game-play issues, bugs, short-sighted development, p2w, etc etc.
I wanted to post on this stating how if the queue is your only problem ..blah blah blah .. but as I was getting my password reset, I realized, it doesn't matter, and it's pointless to try and persuade someone who gave up to easily.
If that's the biggest issue you have with the game - and it makes you want to uninstall and walk away, then fine, you just made room for the other people who want to log in and enjoy the game.
If you can not play due to the queue, you can hardly have any other problems with the game like bugs or the actual gameplay or anything, as you do not get that far.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

Each thing in is right time.
Now its time to rage about queues, other things will come after

I heard that they boot you from the character screen if you sit there too long now, so this method shouldn't work anymore far as I know.
Originally posted by Albatroes I would have to agree with what someone else said in a similar thread, I'm happy some gamers have standards still. I left the game installed but I couldn't bring myself to wait hours upon hours like some people reported just to play a game, wasn't worth it to me. For some people/servers the queues are a bit better, around 30 minutes, which to me is about right, with popular games. But I'm still going to wait and see how it does in 1-2 months from now. Plenty of other stuff to do like prep for rift 3.0.
It's gathering dust for me at the moment too.
I'll probably give it another try, but after logging on after work the other day and seeing there were 5860 other players in the queue before me I simply clicked the exit button and haven't gone back since.
Plenty of other things to play that I don't have to waste my time with nonsense like that.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Still works I have been at character Select screen all weekend and all today. So its still works. In reality they cant kick you from Char selection as loads of people will be AFK by the time they get into the game and it may take a while before they notice they are no longer in a q
Practically every MMO launch has queues. This is surprising to you? Servers are bogged down because people actually want to play and have the motivation to play instead of just finding another time sink to entertain them right away. Go cook something. Watch TV. Or just wait after the first week or two after they gauge whether or not they need extra servers. It's like going to a grand opening of a restaurant. If you don't want to try the product that badly, come back later or stick around for the 45 minute wait. Seriously people. Stop whining about the game, being quick to judge, impatient........sounds like my ex. Anyways I just rolled on a server with the smallest queue, smoked a fatty (yes I smoke weed), got some food, and then BAM! I was in. And aside from having to deal with TAB targeting. Everything else made up for it. It's a good game that just needs time to grow much like any successful MMO. WoW had issues in the beginning too just like every MMO. There's no such thing as a perfect launch .
Originally posted by OhhPaigey I just uninstalled because I don't like the game, I waited for more servers & no queue times before even trying the game again.
You don't like the game or the queue? If you haven't got past the queue and logged in, then you don't know 100% whether you actually like it or not. You can't base it on reviews, screenshots, and a few trailers. Extensive gameplay in ANY MMO is the ONLY way to truly gauge its worth. Just sayin'.
I hate to sound this way, but I will say it anyways.
"The game is not meant for the masses". Especially folks that are very PvE centric.
I knew this about AA being a niche game, but to me honestly, I like it. It does have it's good points and bad points as well.
I played some of the beta and couldn't even fathom the graphics at first, due to the Korean style direction, however there are also some elements that turn most players away as well, which I totally understand.
But for now, I will personally enjoy AA for what it is. The only way you know your going to like this PvP centric style mmorpg, is by giving it a chance.
I agree, Trion dropped the ball on this launch and still believe this game should have been P2P only, but unfortunately it's always about making money.

It is actually not THAT niche.
The pvp element in it can be mostly avoided if the said player doesn't like it.
It is a perfect crafter's game - crafted gears are waaaay above looted gears and items cannot be repaired, mainly crafting and primary production actually means something in this game.
Even the pvp zones on continents have peace times that allows no pvp if you want to wait it out.

It is far from hardcore pvp game imo.
First time I ever heard someone say 'not THAT niche".
It is a sandpark (I guess this is the term were using now) and you can play AA however way you want to play it, but the game itself is centralized around PvP.
You make the weapons for combat, the armor for combat, the boats for combat, you raise pets to be battle pets, you grow crops to make buffs, you craft homes to make all these things viable for itself. So yeah, you can say it's not PvP centric and ignore the PvP outside your home, but again, mostly everything here is crafted for combat and engagement.
Hardcore PvP, I get what your saying, but tell that to that guy or gal that's riding the mule or sailing the seas to avoid pirates and the opposite faction. It's simple - Red mans Dead in this game -
huehuheueheu, i refunded my founders 2 days since it was available,
i played the game for 2 days straight to know that it will be quite bad, and i am playing as F2P now, which i am glad to do because the founders would have been a waste of my 100 bucks

I played the Russian beta and told people its a AA average game not bad for a AA mmo but how can people buy a free game?
don't just buy games make sure its worth it.

Once I got to try the Beta, my choice was made way before release to not buy it.
