    I can actually confirm this, as someone who returned to AA right before the Auroria update. The game had some minor p2w concepts, but with Auroria and the whole TS tree "incident" now I wouldn't really consider it p2w.

    Yeah, agreed. No matter peoples definition of p2w, AA is undeniably very very cash shop intensive.

    Expansion scrolls, labor pots, etc etc, all artificial and totally unneccesary limits only put in the game to make people buy stuff from the cash shop.

    In other games you can buy xp-pots etc that speeds up the process, there's no hard caps like labor points to what they're speeding up though. Big difference.

    I'm not sure if you're aware, but anyone can get their hands on the Labor pots with gold. Yes, someone else is paying for it with real money, but isn't that life? 

    I do agree with you that their model is terrible, but F2P games need some sort of way to make money and that's ArcheAge's way of doing it and I'm sure they're making a lot of it.

    Some of you people expect a F2P game to sell Mickey Mouse hats and make enough money to run a game.  You want a freeloader game and that's just ignorant.  I have given a total of 25$ to AA since it launched.  That's it 25$ and I'm doing perfectly fine now that Auroria launched.  Before Auroria launched this game was a nightmare for the casual player.  I don't need to spend another dime on this game and I'll have a lot of very good items.  Yes I could pour a thousand dollars into the game and speed up the process.  But right now the process will only take me a month so I need to sit back and enjoy the ride. 

    Are you onto something or just on something?

    If only there weren't incredibly successful games doing just that. (Team Fortress 2, MOBAs)

    Wanna hear the fun part about buying cash shop items with gold from the AH?  You're giving gold to someone who's paying, who can (and likely will) now use that gold to buy/upgrade to even better gear than you.  Which is what's happening in-game if you actually bother to research into how much the top players spent vs everyone else.
