Gear VR is handy for watching movies while your travelling as a passenger etc. for gaming you need something better than a smartphone powered device, which inevitably means either a Vive or an OR, with the possibility of the PSVR at some later date, though tbh, given how expensive the smartphones tend to be that are necessary for Gear VR to work adequately, not to mention the whole issue of having a device that uses microwave radiation that close to your head for long periods of time, and, its hard to see how the cons don't seriously outweigh the pro's in that argument.
I think you meant "radio waves".  Cell phones do not use microwave radiation; they use the same type of low energy wave that allows a radio to work (although it can be absorbed by tissue, it is low energy non-ionizing - not at all the same type of thing that comes from a microwave).  If you're not concerned about getting cancer from your radio, I wouldn't be concerned about your cell phone.

I'm not saying it's silly to be concerned, but calling it "microwave radiation" is misleading.

Those shipping prices include the price of the device.  Regular shipping should run no more than $10 at the most.  Who are they trying to fool?
I shipped a package within my state yesterday, business to business.  Dimensions 14" x 9" x 3", less than 1 lb.  Total cost: $11.88

    So much misinformation ITT.

I don't think thats the way the matrix worked at all.  The red pill kept you in the virtual world.  The premise is that they're having a hard enough time selling people on these virtual worlds.
