PC as well? It's about damn time the game gets a PC release! My favorite Rockstar game by far.
yeah that doesnt work well with me. simply the same game, better graphics and oh you can play it with a mouse and keyboard now instead of a controller but likely your going to wish you where playing it with a controller.

this whole 'yeah but the game is now available for PC' is WAY overblown in its impressiveness by like light years
Not to me, I haven't played it and, as I mentioned, "now I can". It's huge. I can't be the only person in this boat.

IMO Red Dead is too fresh for a remake, it just needs a port with some improvements like higher framerate. Rockstar should remake Oni instead. I would buy an Oni remake/reboot in an instant.
Interesting. Skyrim is newer than RDR. I think a great remaster is a good idea.
Yupp, i think Bethesda should have remastered older titles like morrowind, and just port/polish Skyrim to current gen. I hope both Rockstar(Oni) and Bethesda(classic TES) do that in the future.

Yeah Morrowind would be amazing! Skyrim is still amazingly popular, on Steam for example, so perhaps with successful remasters of obviously popular titles it will lead to old titles being remastered. Maybe it is a test the waters kind of thing? I hope so!

PC ,PC you sure. Yes hahaha finally.

I never played it because I dislike controllers. So very happy.

Aren't they working on Red Dead Redemption 2?
Not sure how a remaster would fit into that. Do they release the remaster now, to build up hype for the sequel?

I'm in agreement towards more western themed games. This one was easily one of my favorite gamin experiences, and stands to be one of only 3 open world games I've managed to finish.
    and the thing is:

    1. a lot of different and very compelling Froniter style games could be created without even coming close to touching native american history.

    2. even if you did they are not nearly as offended by it as people think

Why do you continually hijack threads with an agenda? Can't people just talk positively about a great game, (possibly) finally coming to PC and be happy?
your overblowing this and frankly being difficult.

I have stated my position and why do not make it your agenda to attack me please.
Then stop attacking the post! Leave the thread and go talk about how much you hate AAA and how much better an Indie is over what ever game some else likes or enjoys. Or go talk about VR again. I mean come on! You are SO negative ALL the time
I am not attacking the post I am responding to other people responding to me. You really should stop responding to me soon. this attack on me is uncalled for. we can talk about the game and genre but do not get personal, that is uncalled for

Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

well just so you know, I havent played it as a remake nor am I excited about it so maybe your assumption that there are fields of people just salivating at the chance to play this game on PC because they never did on console may be a bit more unknown then a lot.

I think that is one reason exactly why they would do it.
yea .. stirring up interest , i would be willing to wager that RDR 2 will have a robust multi player lobby set up for PC also .. SOme survival mechanics .etc...

I'm sure it will have controller support, so like other games that are meant to be played with a controller I'll be playing with my DS4.

It being available on PC might not be that interesting to those who've already played it on a console years ago, though there seems to be quite a few of us in this thread. However, I'd say it's impressive to those who have never played the game but have wanted to.

You may not care, but it's unreasonable to think that no one should care.
to be fair i think the only people who are getting excited about this coming to PC are people who have already played it.

I am one of the people who have not, I am not excited about it coming to PC. So I would love to learn who these people actually are.

    GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

stop responding to my view on this subject. its simple

if you dont have a problem then lets keep talking. I would perfer to discuss this, some however are taking issue that I am even posting at all and getting personal about it which I think is very much uncalled for

I don't understand the big deal or excitement with remakes.  I guess if you haven't played the game before it would be cool and exciting?  I mean if I've played the game already I've played the game already a new set of paint doesn't change that.

With the nature of computer technology and the endless possibilities within a gaming context, I just dont think its unreasonable to suggest developer should focus more on creating new content and a lot less time focused on re-hasing old code. I dont know why that is such an offensive position to have.

I want westerns, but I dont want the same three that I know of remade

Normally I might agree with that but this is Red Dead Redemption. Not enough good old west games have been made and this is arguably the best one ever made.  If any game screamed for a remaster for modern hardware it is this game.
I agree and I cant be bothered to rehook up my ps3 to continue playing where I left off, so this makes me happy. Not sure if I am going to go with the ps4 or the pc version though as I dont really fire up my ps4 much anymore either lol, so it might be the pc version which I wish they would have done along time ago.

I think so too. They already have a pretty successful setup for GTA Online and they make bank with GTA dollars. They could use something like that if there is enough interest.
Yeah and I am sure they have learned quite a bit about the logistics of online and also porting to PC with GTA V since this game was released 6 years ago. They are probably set up pretty well with a multiplatform release of RDR2 including the PC. Which, if it has mod support, may just be one of the more amazing games of the year. If they do create a RDR Online like GTA V has then oh my!
this would be great ... Bring it on :)

I thought Red Dead Redemption was great for about 10 hours then found it boring after that.

If I and a few others on this site haven't I bet statistically there are at least a few more and then a few more, etc.

But you know what? We can just see when the time comes, they release it, and we can take a look at some of the sales numbers.

I mean, there certainly were enough who bought Dark Souls on PC (crappy port) so that they made dark souls 2 on pc (slightly better port) and then finally dark souls 3 (much better port).

Dead Island released a remastered version not too long ago as well and I believe that was newer then RDR. Seems to be a popular thing to do now. Dead Island had a pretty decent deal (on steam at least) for people who owned the original. Haven't looked closely, but thought I had read Skyrim was doing something similar.

RDR is a bit different in that you couldn't have owned a previous version on PC, so I imagine I'll be looking at full price if I were to choose to get it. That said, if RDR (or a sequel) show up on PC, I actually think they'd be worth full price (just my opinion of course).

I'm not typically one for 'remakes', but when the game play is good/enjoyable enough to me, I feel some games deserve a little attention and to be brought back into the public eye.

Awesome, I didn't think they'd ever do this, nor did I ever understand why they didn't have a PC version to begin with.
