The Paladin will be the dedicated healer until we get Mystic correct?
No, Mystic is not a main healer. They're support like Chanter in Aion, but the clothie wearing magey version of it. Buffs, CC, debuffs, damage, and AoE/HoT heals. They can't solo heal hard endgame dungeons, but they can provide raid heal support working alongside the Paladin.
Unless they completely change the skillset and purpose of the Mystic from how it exists currently in KR, this will be like Aion where there's one main healer (Paladin) and a support class (Mystic).
Ya they should probably clearly show both builds of the Pally if they are going to lead people to think this is a class gameplay vid.
They already did... they showed the dps builds of all the classes in one post but everyone was complaining that the Pally's main purpose wasn't shown, so they pulled together this video at the last minute for us.
Seems all healing is AOE lol. I just hate those Street Fighter-like "chain" and dmg text. hate those asian screams and moaning. Won't touch the game at all.
They have 3 single target and only 2 AoE Heals. A few buffs and things too which show up as AoE effects. They're a standard all around healer that focuses on burst healing.

This. The whole reason they made this video was because of QQ, so naturally people QQ moar.
This is a cleric not a Paladin. Dressed up like a warrior with full armor and a shield and doing nothing. Lord, the more videos I see the worse this game looks. I mean 5 classes and this being one of them is a joke in today's games. This video is awful, it shows awful game play with an awful character. EPIC FAIL
Back in EQ the Cleric wore plate armor and used a mace and shield.
Aion Cleric (ok not Paladin) is similar, with the weapon options of two handed staff or mace/shield.
I've always seen it as three types:
Paladin - Heavy melee/defense Light holy magic
Cleric - Heavy defense Light-Medium melee Medium-Heavy holy magic
Priest - Light melee/defense Heavy holy magic
This just looks like a priest in a heavy looking cosmetic skin (since not actually being up in combat means armor is unnecessary).

The general idea behind healers armor is how their heals work.
Cleric have a short range more powerful heals, therefore they need better armor to absorb possible hits. Priests have long range less powerful heals so no need for plate. Paladins have self heals for the "oh shit" moments, but otherwise they are tanks, so plate is necessary. In this case the Paladin seems more like a Priest, what's the point of wearing plate? And what's the deal with the huge tower shield?
Unless they can switch talents like in WoW (can they?) the armor setup seems like overkill to me.

The paladin can spec as a tank class, But if you do some googling about this, The opinions of others say the paladin as tank isn't as good compared to the guardian, So it seems the guardian is the class to pick for tank.
I don't know if they have changed this, But i don't know why they have spent time and money on making the paladin being able to tank, When it can't tank that well as the guardian, Seems like a waste of resources to me.
I don't know what the class is like for DPS because i didn't google that.
Funny how people call this class terrible just cause the person in the video didn't move. I believe you can choose from a variety of skills so this video doesn't show it's full potential probably.
Is that the viewers fault or the developers? The object is to show us the viewers...potential customers what we can expect,if you can't convey the simplest task in your video, what does that say about their ability to design an entire game?
This would be like a car salesman telling you how great the car is but you can't see it to see it's full potential nor can you drive it,you'll just have to trust me,so can i sell you this car for 85k?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
"Reworked the combat system" lol it is still terrible tab-target combat, a big NO for me. Also 1 week into May and still no actual date of early access. It seems to me that they are rushing their work so fast due to whatever reasons that they could not have a exact date. And I dont care how you guys argue about a Paladin 's definition. Depends on where, it's a historical or traditional definition. Paladin in Asia means a holy warrior who uses holy light to cleanse/ heal and fight on the front light which represents well in BLESS. Using your own definition to criticize or think something awfully wrong is dumb

Except the person buying the car (the players in this case) specifically asked to see one thing, and they were shown it.
Just because you lack context doesn't mean your snap judgment is correct.
Shout out to the frame drops while turning the camera and absolutely nothing happening. How the f#$% does stuff like that keep making it into their videos? Is it so bad that they just said "keep it, it won't spoil the surprise of the horrible game performance later"?
Do you mean the "frame drops" at the beginning of the video ? If yes, then that's how they do the "slow motion" thing. I mean, how seriously you think that those "frames" are ... "frame drops"? Really ..
You're either daft AF or missed the :08 mark. I'll let you re-watch and really think about what you typed before I insult your intelligence.
Your intelligence seems to lack big time here. So you do speak about what I've said. That is NOT in-game frame drops. Is because how the video editor guy made that particular scene.
Look for other videos they made in the last few weeks and put some glasses while doing that.
Good luck!

You're allowed to say "Maybe their capture card set-up sucks" but what you're not going to do is say "That is NOT frame drops. Is because how the video editor guy made that particular scene.", because that would make you a moron to any person who has eyeballs and especially to people who have any professional editing on their resume.

It seems YOU have no idea what a Paladin is.
Bless has a stance system, this is clearly one of the Paladin's stances. When they are healing they use the healing stance.....a crazy concept I know.

I am gonna delete this account now that I know that I can just google stuff.

Beta tester maniac
Basically it'll function like Guild War 2's Guardian class (wielding a wand/mace and shield)
Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall.
