Okay guys,

Winter Steam Sale is here, i held off buying anything over Thanksgiving because I was waiting for the winter sale. What you guys are gonna pick up or have picked up. Maybe I can get some ideas.

I'm looking at:
Project Gorgon (The Demo actually worked on me and i'm interested to see how the skills work at higher levels)
No Man's Sky (probably hold off on)
Civilization 6 (Even though I think Civ V is better and I play that)

Cryomatrix
p.s. As an aside my Path of Exile Character hit lvl 90 in HC mode (my 2nd highest level ever attained) :)
Catch me streaming at twitch.tv/cryomatrix

I've been browsing all day. I haven't seen anything that grabbed me by the nose.

Nier would have been an option but it didn't make it in to the sales. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is on my radar and I don't know why. I just bought Rise of the Tomb Raider. Only played it for an hr and uninstalled it so I could make room for other games. I still don't own Witcher 3 so maybe I will pick that up..

Or maybe I will save my monies for Boxing Day hardware deals.

So i see the Halflife 1 complete bundle $4 lol,yep bought it.I have a bad memory as is and haven't played HL 1 in several years so it should feel like a brand new game to me.

Serious Sam first encounter $2 yep bought it lol.Again have not played it in so long it'll feel new.

Fallout New Vegas $3.62 !!!! umm not a chance in hell lol.

No games I can think of at the moment, but I just got a mouse Logitech G402 hyperion fury for $27. Very happy with it and far better than my old Redragon Perdition mouse.

Not a single thing. I have such a backlog that adding more to it is just not wise at this point. LOL

I'm on the same boat. I don't know about you but my backlog covers every generation I own down to PS2, which is hooked right next to my PC and PS4. If i keep following sales i'll never finish another game lol

I picked up Transport Fever on sale at GoG.com, it's like a modern Transport Tycoon. I've been wanting a modern game like it, with good modding support which this game has. They just released a patch for the game with a lot of fixes so the timing was perfect :]

I was thinking Kerbal Space program. I tried the demo years ago but the game was still pretty early access and the demo was far behind what was in the game. It seemed like a cool concept, but I wasn't impressed with what the demo had to offer. There was no real direction or point to it, nothing to really achieve. The demo has been removed since it really isn't representative of the current game. Since then I have seen plenty of youtube videos and it looks like it has come a long ways in terms of content, and there is now a DLC, which adds a little to the game.

    Yeah, I feel you.

I look at some other people's Steam Inventories and I'm like "How the holy shit do you have 400 games and I haven't played 20% of the 90 games in my inventory?!?"

I was reading a review of Total War:  Medieval II today while thinking of picking it up and the reviewer has 1,820 products in his account.  Like, good lord, even if I played games 12 hours a day, all day, since I was 15, I still couldn't play 1,820 different games and I'm in my 40's.

EDIT:  I just noticed that you can get CIV 6 and everything released for CIV 6 so far for a paltry $38.  DAMN YOU STEAM.

Was going to get Stellaris when everything was on sale (not all on Steam) when the new DLC dropped but so many negatives stopped me. Price now lower so I might get it and the better DLCs for it since theyre also on a decent sale but some of those have been less at other sites so maybe hodge podge them all together.

Xenonauts is good :)  Didn't see D:OS2. . will have to look again.

This sale was sad for me. . Nothing on my wishlist is more than 50% off.

I considered Assassins Creed: Odyssey but they are giving that away if you try Google's Chrome streaming thing. . such a backlog anyway.

EDIT:  Just checked out GMG sale.  The titles I want are cheaper there even before the extra 15% off.

I thought I was bad with around 350 games on Steam until I saw people with thousands.  A lot are from bundles in which I only wanted a few of the games included.

Odyssey is more fun then I thought it would be.  Runs real smooth for a streamed game.

Probably nothing. I've made little inroads on my Steam backlog this year, and not seeing much opportunity to take on anything new in 2019.

FFS.  I read this post and thought "Oh yeah!  Shadow of War!  I loved the first one, I should buy that!"

Went to steam, typed it in to find it.

Whatever everyones crapping on about at the time which is usually something over priced or not yet released. Today Just Cause 4 and Megaquarium seem to be the "what people are talking about" week but since I played Dungeons II alot and finished that might as well get Dungeons III for under A$20

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

And looking at DQ11, just looking though, a bit, and a bit more....

geez, 4 days till xmas... time flies.

Well alot of people have payed about us$60 for pc games. This "steam winter sale" you guys that payed $60, if that game goes on sale for $10 to 30 what game based on your experience would you recomend we get on the cheap, with your gurante we will get our money's worth.
I already have almost a full 1TB ssd of steam games, about 2/3 of which i do not have spare time to play; but i can make time to try out a 'great game at this price' $20 is two rounds of drinks at the club vs 200- 400 hrs game play, no contest.
