This is really the main complaint from everyone playing and it could be the death of it. I will admit that on my Champion it is not so bad but I did start as an archer first and animations lacked any impact.
This is my only gripe albeit a big one. I will hit 30 today and try some pvp this weekend to see if its going to be Crowfall or New World for me.
I can pretty much guarantee it will be the latter.

I’m not an apologist for the game by any means but it’s run fine on my system: 1060 (6GB), 32GB RAM, SSD. I know people with far better systems than mine that have issues. Not saying they don’t exist, but it seems to be hit or miss.
Swap the 1060 with an overclocked 1070 and you got my system. Performance went from reasonable in Beta to good at launch. No problems here as well.

We could be.. but I don't see that as happening, after all, @Slapshot1188 ;and I have a long history, it started with him accusing me of being someone else when I first joined this forums, when he was exposed on being wrong, by the person he accused me of being, as opposed to being a grown ass adult, admitting his mistake, apologizing, and moving on, he blocked me and claimed I was stalking him, even had it in sig for a few years, so.. we have a history.. one that mainly consists of him being childish and refusing to own up to his mistakes and spreading lies about people.. So.. While we could be adults here, we all need to be adults here for that to happen, if only half of us adult, it won't work out, as that just results in rewarding childish behavior on his part.

What he "apologized" for was insisting there were 480,000 paid accounts for the game (was about 80k at the time).

Supposed MMORPG fans on a MMORPG site trying to talk down by any means necessary the success of CF in each one of these threads is why more people and even older members no longer come here.. It's tribalism that becomes combative when people 'attempt' to discuss beyond what some legendary posters will allow because of their personal agendas..
When information is presented that in any way seems like it will take away w/e psuedo power/control they believe they have they relentlessly pile on even when what they're saying no longer makes sense... perceived power is a helluva drug...
Here's a FACT. NO ONE here can provide any definite mathematical answers for what CF is making because NO ONE here has their cash shop profit numbers. Everyone is just GUESSING. No one can guesstimate total profit and everything everyone here is writing when using that bot as their source is all just OPINION. When your game gets "even BDO remastered has bettter fps" something is wrong.
I had FPS drops while idle, alone. Changing the settings does little to nothing. I'm not an isolate case.
I've had absolutely ZERO performance issues with Crowfall. Sorry your experience hasn't been the same.
I was playing a bit before, and I noticed I only ran into issues when I tied to tab into the guild discord, I think it's because my graphic card dances the line on acceptable.. so that extra demand may have been too much.

And looking at the total population on the Crowfallstatus site is flawed
because it counts all the people who timed out due to AFK and are just
sitting at the main menu. Currently 565 out of 3483. You can weed
those out for the current numbers but there is no way to do so

If 100 people were logged into the game... if people didn't have anyone to fight or things to do then you would be right but that isn't what's happening with CF...
Certain people here claiming the game is a failure are the same people who defend crowdfunded early access UNITY asset MMO's with subs and UNITY scam tech/game demo MMO's with no launch date in sight... I capped UNITY because CF is also a Unity MMO.. I go into PVP zones and get zerged like a noob... I visit Eternal Kingdoms and see the equivalent of hundreds of dollars spent on parcels + buildings...
"Denying reality" would be saying the game is a failure ESPECIALLY a $20 million to make crowdfunded pvp MMO in 2021 if it didn't have any people to play/fight with... factor in TBC + all the other game launches + Steam sale and IMO CF is a success.
IF they are not making as much money as they'd like here are a few FREE simple ideas/solutions just after thinking about it for 2 minutes...
1. Add exclusive items to the 1 year sub in 2 months when the majority of the playerbase VIP runs out. That's 2 months to create exclusive cosmetic items for systems that are already built/in place. A building, aparcel, a couple mounts, maybe some cosmetics.. you have a little under 2 months chop chop..
2. Add more limited time cosmetic deals to their store but make it for flat $ amount like Albion not cro that requires buying made up currency just to buy other made up stuff lol.
3. Make a PVE Only world for PVE only players where items cannot be transferred to PVP worlds. PVE items cannot be sold in current vendor EK BUT make a special vendor that can only be created with PVE world items that sells ONLY PVE world items.
When I provide an alternate source of information it was dismissed because it had 300-700 inactive players being factored into it, which HE didn't like. I pointed out that HE posted inaccurate information, and that the bot he was using had an error, and didn't include the EU Dregs server, and rather than just apologize for the mistake, and move on, he says I am being pedantic.
Just because he disagrees that 700 inactive players are not the same as concurrent players doesn't mean he didn't post facts. It also doesn't make his posts are inaccurate.
Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you have to go after him personally.

Yeah I agree with you in some respects. Most people do have agenda's.

I feel like the overarching sense there, is that this game didn't do well at launch. It angers people that wanted it to do well. Its annoying that the reality is being thrown in your face.
Its like if a movie that comes out you think its amazing but it does horrible in the box office. All the news wants to talk about is that its a flop financially. It sucks I get it.
Why feed the threads that talk about just numbers if you hate seeing them so much? Why not do what Valheim players did and make a thread with the cool fun things they are doing in the game? Sure you might still get some haters but just ignore them and move on.

I have a history of apologizing if I made a mistake, and even did so to him.
All I said was that his bot might not be accurate(Which is what the writer of that article said too), and that he should use a second source, and I provided him with a second source, and I even encouraged him to compare my source with Malakai bot. I didn't say either one was better or worse, I just gave an additional option.
He is the one fixated on numbers, and fixated on whether or not Crowfall Succeeds or fails.
I have been talking about ensuring that as accurate as possible information is given.
I use Malakaibot, and https://crowfallstatus.com/ and if one messes up, I have another option, and I had acknowledged multiple times that Malakaibot is accurate, but CAN provide inaccurate data as shown by logs from discord provided by ME of the programmer of the bot actively fixing the bot during the start of Dregs.
Malakai Bot was not able to record the start of the Dregs, but Crowfallstatus could, and it showed right at the launch of the NA East dregs server that 1100 players were participating actively. There were so many people that they needed to open a NA West server a half hour into the event.
You should ask yourself why you are fine with your friend posting incorrect information, and trying to trivialize it, rather than just apologizing for posting a mistake.
Rather than it looking like no big deal his entire angle and argument comes into question. He doesn't want to do any work to make sure the information he is posting is accurate, and he definitely isn't a unbiased source.
Can you quote something I said that implies that I thought the game was an absolute success? Other than mentioning that I had more fun than I thought I would, I don't believe I implied that any numbers were good, and in fact I agreed many times that the numbers weren't great. My entire focus in the thread was impressing the importance of cross referencing sources when discussing statistics.
Instead he has been gaslighting me implying that I give a care about the population numbers, when all I care about is the accuracy of the information presented.

Some people were projecting this game to have over 400k people playing it, just by the backers alone. So to me, worrying about plus or minus 100 people is so irrelevant its comical. Its like worrying about a fly landing on your shoulder when you are seconds from being hit by a subway.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

Just like when Slap corrected me on my numbers, I checked it out, realized I was wrong, did the adult thing, and adjusted my stand, and moved on, notice when Slap was called out on being wrong, he continues to petty bicker.
So.. while we could.. I don't foresee that happening.
Not to mention what he thinks I should "apologize for" is posting a bot screenshot which was missing 110 TOTAL PLAYERS WORLDWIDE IN AN MMORPG! No, not 110,000. Not 11,000. Not even 1100. 110 players. LOL
What he "apologized" for was insisting there were 480,000 paid accounts for the game (was about 80k at the time).
But that's OK... just do like Elsa and Let it Go! Lets stick to the combat and animation in this one.

Slap made his mention of the numbers, and When I looked into it, I realized I had made a mistake, and I adapted to the change in info.
What is your point? Why are you harrassing him for posting publically available figures?
They cant handle that someone who likes the game can also have a realistic view and doesn't have to deny the reality.
They want people to tow the line, maybe they think if they keep ridiculing anyone showing something negative to their opinion that they will stop posting.
Just because he disagrees that 700 inactive players are not the same as concurrent players doesn't mean he didn't post facts. It also doesn't make his posts are inaccurate.
Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you have to go after him personally.
Also because the bot he pulled from was 100 players off from your source. LOL, here your are going after someone relentlessly, because a bot he pulled data from is off by 100 people from some source you are using? I would go further as I don't believe the charade you are trying pull off at all. Yeah I agree with you in some respects. Most people do have agenda's.

I feel like the overarching sense there, is that this game didn't do well at launch. It angers people that wanted it to do well. Its annoying that the reality is being thrown in your face.
Its like if a movie that comes out you think its amazing but it does horrible in the box office. All the news wants to talk about is that its a flop financially. It sucks I get it.
Why feed the threads that talk about just numbers if you hate seeing them so much? Why not do what Valheim players did and make a thread with the cool fun things they are doing in the game? Sure you might still get some haters but just ignore them and move on.
Your ideas, not sure if they will save the game or not. Dev's should have been looking at this way before launch.

Some people were projecting this game to have over 400k people playing it, just by the backers alone. So to me, worrying about plus or minus 100 people is so irrelevant its comical. Its like worrying about a fly landing on your shoulder when you are seconds from being hit by a subway.
Where is this friend thing coming from? Just because I am defending his/her right to post data in a thread makes us friends? I mean sure he/she generally makes logical arguments, sometimes I agree, others I disagree, but at least they are predominately logical so I can follow the reasoning.
