Yes in development, however there is very litttle info out right now. Its been mentioned on the offical site a few times. Don't quote me but I believe I read they are looking at a late 2007 release (?)

I haven't studied many upcoming games extensively, but based on reading a few posts here and FAQ's at each games website, mine are:
Hero's Journey The Chronicles of Spellborn Pirates of the Burning Sea
Alot of upcoming games seem to be very heavily focused on twitch combat and/or PvP (e.g. WhO, Fury). Whilst I enjoy the occasional bit of PvP, I prefer it more as a diversion rather than the main focus of my gameplay.
Alot of other games may become more interesting, but are still at an early stage of development, or mainly asian with very little english language information as to the details of gameplay (e.g. Aion, SUN).

Why would you need an Alienware for EQ2. I play on high graphics and I just have a cheapo emachine with a nice graphics card and 1.5 GB of RAM. You're an Alienware shill, aren't you?

Isn't Seed already out?
Yes, but reading up on the forums you get the feeling that this game should still be upcoming and not here yet. It's what happens when developers are forced to push their game into the public because of financial reasons outside their control.
Vanguard definitely (I'm hopeful of a return to the original EQ feel of the old days) Fallen Earth Conan
also very interested in Hero's Journey
will be keeping a eye on DarkFall and Stargate, and Star Trek, etc... etc... (I've been in these games since the alpha of the original Meridian59, so I pretty much watch the sites for developments on the whole genre. I think I get more real enjoyment out of watching the developments then the games themselves since so many of them are just so crappy, endless cloning without inovation)
Let's face it, everyone's trying to make 80 million a month off a single video game just like WoW. Only time will tell if one will be up to your standards. Try and find one game right now that you can enjoy. If you can't the answer may be
3) Saga of Ryzom R2 The Ring expansion (This isn't a new mmorpg, but the Ring expansion will change this game so much, it might as well be a whole new game.. and I think this expansion look insanely fun)
Honorable mention: Darkfall. However, since it's own website FAQ says that it will be released in 2003 or whatever, it's hard to give it much serious consideration, heh.

Twilight War: Post apocalyptic faction-based FPSMMO utilizing the source engine.
Roma Victor: Combat similar to mount&blade, player-driven economy. Virtual sandbox.
My predictions for success of future MMORPG's is:
Maybe

Vanguard Saga of Heroes
Hero's Journey
Lord of the Rings Online
