Go look at other games and companies and their prospective player's out and out outrage about them getting in bed with SOE (Perpetual and Sigil).
Not only is SWG doomed, SOE is doomed. They will never produce another hit title again, that is my bold prediction, and those who partner with them are also doomed to fail.
It also doesn't help SOE that Sony itself has an absolute piss poor reputation right now, what with the rootkit fiasco, CD price fixing, them wanting to force digital restrictions management into HD video, etc.
And, never forget how this has hurt LucasArts. Every misstep SOE has taken, LEC has been there holding their hand. I've not bought a single LEC product since KOTOR2, and it's all due to the idiocy of Julio Torres, Nancy "Uncle Owen" McIntyre, et all.

Saw this topic and wanted to put in my two cents
1. I quit eve-online to play SWG (kicking my shelf for that one)
2. play SWG for 2+ years had a Master Weapon smith/master rifleman
the CU came along and broke most professions except a few in the guild I was running I tried to play but getting killed doing simple task got to me but still I stayed because of the guild.
note I had some one from the dev department in my guild (a tester in the game was to get into a group and play the game looking for errors and for players option of the game she was fired right before the CU to include every one at her office and yes some parts of the game had aspects of WOW and EQ2 in it as that was the games they liked to play the story about them making it more SW is just marketing BS)
when my guild of 75 active members became a guild of 6 active members I knew it was time to leave (took one month after the CU).
I took my money to another game at that time it was COH but it did not do it for me wanted space then I remembered EVE-online put in the disk and started to give CCP my $
for those who play good luck to you but I will never play another SOE game again to include PS2 PSP ect Sony is off my game list from now on!
WHen a person decides to try a game and wants information about its current state . simply saying "oh it sucks it used to be way better ". Imo is not helpful in anyway , Aside form a possible victory for those with an agenda to ensure SWG fails .
I agree! Dang near every time someone asks a question or commends SOE on anything BAM here come the flames. It's ok to be mad but being rude or hijacking a thread is not a way to get one's point across.

What brand TV did you get btw. I see you said you found two that were superior to the Sony one, so im guessing either Daewoo or Zenith?

If it happens so often, by so many, that a "feel-good" thread about SWG doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell..yeah, I think that is a good way to get the point across, because there is very definitely a point to be made. How many MMOs can you recall that have such a tremendous ex-player base bashing it so much and so often and so passionately?
Gotta be a valid point in there somewhere, dontcha think?
