Funny (in a sad way) how you go back to whining about this not being on-topic when you're in too far over your head.. but otherwise have NO problem ignoring the topic when it suits you. That's OK, I played your game 1 page ago.. quoting an actual pro wrestler who thinks Dean sounded like a pro wrestler. I see no such things from you, just more bleating about how off-topic this is now.

I understand.. really I do.. you're going to try for about 2-3 more pages' worth of posts to save face. I used to be a lot like you in that regard.

Domestic policy you keep bleating about has also been touched upon. You conveniently ignore all mention of the new immigration policies. Why? Because they put your precious smirking chimp in a bad light.

Hmmm, Dumbya.. looks like your own people want you drummed out of office over this. All I can say is: welcome to the party, ladies and gentlemen. It's about time you realized the mess you made by pushing this jerk down our throats. ("jerk" was the nicest thing I could think of, on short notice)

Take heart, Clueless_Glove.. we both have to go to sleep now, to try and get some things done early tomorrow before the next 80-mile round trip for yet another short hospital visit. You have more time to come up with better replies.

Thank you for your time sitamun. We'll have to agree to disagree on this minor fact. There is a small gap in Bushes military record, since he made up his time to his voluntary obligations I consider his contract completed in full. Although I can why people might think otherwise.

    Have a good evening.

Ugh, another one blathering about how it's going off-topic. Nevermind that it's a topic that doesn't really have much staying power to begin with. (what, do you think you're gonna get everyone in the forum to post "yah, he's a pro wrestler" "no he's not" "yea he is" "no he isn't, pro wrestling suxxor" "no u suxxorz d00d" "ur mama"? We addressed the topic already. Get over it.

My whole "liberal media" comment was meant to say that it's not all Democrats cramming this crap down our throat.  Look I've been around and heard enough about the "evil" liberal media.   I'm just saying that MOST of the big huge media conglomerates(sp) are owned/operated by republicans (be they liberal or conservative).  It was not meant as a slam against anyone exept the media itself.

As to my discharge theory, what's so hard to believe?  I'm certainly not claiming it as fact, but it's not a stretch either.  I'd really like to whats so hard to believe about it.

As Neg said this topic could have easily dissolved into a wrestling sucks....no it doesn't contest pages ago.  This is just how it developed.  You have to admit the topic itself kinda plays itself out in the first post anyway.

  • qbobqbob Member Posts: 42

Come on wouldnt u want this to become a wresltling sucks? But u r right thats just how this turned out. As for your theory, its just that a theory, i do like to hear what people think, still to say such things on such a topic i would like to hear a little more facts. Now we can talk all day long about y it would never come out, but is there really a point to that? So thats my 2 cents, not that anyone cares about cent anymore.

Pulling things out of his arse now, in desperation?)
I'm sure once we go to bed in a few, he'll spend a few hours trying to regroup and come up with new tactics to save face. Yes, Keyboard_Commando and his Ever-Changing-Sig will live to troll another day.
EDIT: Note that he's using his "major media outlets". These are the same "major media outlets" that are usually trashed by many other "conservatives" as just being the "liberal media".. but when it comes time to stick up for their brain-dead leader, even if they want to lock him up for other things, ("treasonous" immigration policies, anyone?) that "liberal media" suddenly becomes very convenient and insightful. What I'd guess to be closer to the truth is that they should be called the "corporate media".. a media that realizes who butters their bread.

    > Sigh <

Negative71 is back again with his signature style of argument that consists of nothing more than snide personal attacks and misplaced arrogance.

The above post is typical.  Instead of refuting a point on its merits, he uses tactics like "He's in over his head"...a petty little taunt which really means he has nothing of substance to add.  Notice the lack of clarification as to HOW he [Clever_Glove] is in over his head.  Also, notice how it's addressed to a third party, as if to say, "C'mon!  Be on my team and we'll attack him together!!!"  If Negative71 really had the upper hand on his opponent, he wouldn't need to spell it out - his arguments would do the talking.  Interesting how he often has a need to shout "I'M WINNING!!!"

Next, he launches into the ad hominem attack, a fallacious debating tactic in which one attacks the debater personally rather than his position.  Lines like, "I'm sure...he'll spend a few hours trying to regroup and come up with new tactics to save face," or "I'd guess, for example, that you're even the type of person who uses insults like 'Anti-Semitic' a lot, probably to make yourself look more like an enlightened person.. not even knowing what a Semite really is," are textbook examples of this and are the earmark of someone who has no alternative but to attack his opponent personally.  How can one make such assumptions without actually knowing his opponent?  Even if he DOES have a personal relationship with his adversary, what place does this have in a political discourse regarding the President's military record, or Howard Dean' idiotic speech, or whatever?

It would be refreshing to see you start posting substantive messages that are completely free of these childish tactics, Negative71.  This isn't the schoolyard and we're not arguing over who's the greatest heavy metal guitarist, so your baiting and crowing are not effective here.  I've read a number of your posts, and when you ditch the, "Oh yeah?  Well you're ugly!" crap, you actually have something to say.  It's a shame that you choose to be overly antagonistic and immature when you face an actual challenge.

I'm sort of glad my father (a Vietnam vet) isn't alive to see this. He HATED Clinton (and rightfully so, I tend to think) for draft-dodging. I think he'd have absolutely snapped if he knew that the very next president after Clinton was a deserter.

Cecil Adams addressed this and gave a fair assessment of the whole desertion thing.  It may not have been the most honorable action, but it was far from criminal.  The link to his treatment follows:

I fixed the link, but it's only audio...sorry!

However, back on topic (that being Howard Dean and his complete and utter meltdown), here are some funny parodies:

Led Zeppelin & Howard Dean - Immigrant Song

Guns N Roses & Howard Dean - Welcome to the Jungle

James Brown & Howard Dean - Living In America

Ozzy Osbourne & Howard Dean - Crazy Train

    AC/DC & Howard Dean - TNT

Pretty Fly for a Dean Guy

And this is unbelievable!  Dean tries to shout down hecklers in NH by singing the National Anthem and he doesn't even get the words right!!!!

Sitamun is my real-life girlfriend.. ever had one of those? We've been mocking Clueless_Glove both on here and off. She sits about 3' to my left, whenever we're both at our PCs.. so it isn't exactly hard to communicate. However, we choose to throw the occasional comment online for effect.

Clueless_Glove long ago stopped providing anything worth giving a "real" response to. How many times do I have to point out that I'm fed up enough with him that he'd be on /ignore if this board had the feature? Do you REALLY expect me to treat him civilly when I'm that sick of him? Quite frankly, I'm getting to that point with you, too. You and him seem to be attached at the mouth.

An actual challenge? How about you idiots actually provide me with one (you'll have to ask someone else to do it, because you're incapable of it at this point) or quit your whining when I react to your drivel in the manner it deserves?

You choose to believe who you believe. Clueless_Glove chooses to believe the entire world is cake and ice cream. I choose to believe what I believe. I believe George W. Bush is complete and utter scum, and his desertion is just one way he's shown his true colors.. no matter how it's been spun and re-packaged to make it more tolerable to the sheeple.

As was stated before.. my father was a Vietnam vet. Heavily exposed to Agent Orange, which affected his health for the rest of his life.. worse, he couldn't get some of the (mainly psychological, if I recall) treatments available to vets because he didn't have a Combat Infantry Badge. (he was a chopper mechanic, but was sometimes in combat due to the nature of the war) Things like this contributed to him dying a couple months shy of his 50th birthday.

When he was alive, he loathed Bill Clinton for being a draft-dodger. A man like that, sending OTHER people's kids into combat to fight and die, or end up living a life similar to my father's. Now we have the same bloody thing with Dubya. In a way, I am glad my father isn't alive to see such a worthless piece of crap leading the country he fought for. (an act beneath both of our last two presidents) But, I also carry some of my loathing of both those men on his (my father's) behalf.

Negative, once again u start with your baseless insults, this only proves that u really have nothing to say. If u want a challenge so much i will give it to u. Negative, I challenge u.I believe u dont have anything to say for real, when u start losing u just turn to unfounded insults.

I said "a challenge", not "run your mouth some more". Nice try, son.

Now you ladies are just whining for the sake of whining. You know you're not going to change my mind or the way I speak, so you're just complaining to read your own whiny words on the screen. Surprised this thread hasn't been locked yet.

Fine then, I challenge u to, make a post WITHOUT personally attacking someone and have reasons for your believes. And dont call me "son".

Look around the forum, son.. I've made a few of them already today.

You whiners choose to ignore most "normal" posts I make, and focus obsessively on the posts I make that deflate your precious little Net-egos. Are you so pathetic and insecure in real life that you have to rely on the Internet for your ego-boosts? I think so. You're threatened by people like me.. people who don't put too much weight behind what's said in a damned forum.. people who can express themselves adequately whenever they want.. oh, the expressiveness is a big issue with you fragile-ego types. I've dealt with lots of your kind that have a problem when I speak my mind. They claim I'm angry at them or some crap like that. Claim I'm too worked up over whatever. Nope, it's just how I am. I think/feel something, I express it if I so desire. If you don't like it, I don't give a rat's arse. Feel free to ask Sitamun.. she's seen me in action, in person, for over 7 months now.

I think you fragile-Net-ego-types see someone like me.. and I see you pulling crap, and I call you on it.. and you get all flustered. "How DARE he confront me on such-and-such? My word online is LAW!" You put far more importance into my words because of how they harm your own self-fellating drivel, than what I put into your words. Me, I can spend 10 minutes roasting you alive for being an idiot, and then walk away from the PC and go garden for an hour and your type magically ceases to exist. Maybe that even infuriates you further.. "How DARE he just walk away from an argument with ME?!" I don't know. I don't really care. All I know is, you people are whining about stupid crap. You want to hear something worthy of whining about? I could break my quasi-rule about discussing real-life on forums and TELL you about my week. Then all your pissin' and moanin' about how the conversation doesn't suit your delicate little minds might get an ounce of perspective.

Don't think I can detach like I say? As soon as I hit Post Message, I'm off to whip up a homemade Lynchburg Lemonade as a nightcap, (1 part Jack Daniels, 1 part Triple Sec, 1 part sour mix, 4 parts 7-Up) and then care for my woman a little. (get your minds out of the gutter on that one, too)
