start new guild??

I have been overwhelmed with the boredom of present day games.So i am thinking about restarting this great game after a 2 year hiatus.The problem is that partying is a ridiculous time sink and getting into an established guild isnt that fun.I would rather start fresh with all new players.
So i am wondering if there is 5 other players that would like to start a new guild ?
the big part of this deal is we must be a static guild that never tries to outlevel each other?of course the other part is to help each other and ALWAYS keep your heads/cool so as to not alienate each other.There is MUST things you can do when not levelling together>>>crafting.Different crafts can help each other out alot.
Even though i havn't played in so long i can remeber how important a static party is.Once a team stays together for so long you know each other like the back of your hand ,wich really helps the party tremendously.
If there is a response of 5 players,then we have to work on getting into same server.I could arrange this easily with cashflow i have from previous player.All 6 of us would have to have the same playtime,mine is around 7-12 pm est.
Don't decide to join if you plan on jumping ship because some level 75 offers to help you with something,you will only letdown the whole party.Sticking together we would level very fast and enjoy the game alot more.I am flexible as i could take any job the static would need such as healer/tank or whatever we need.
I'm not big on going back to older games,but if there are any interested i deffinately wouldn't go through with it if i planned on letting anyone down. ........so what ya think??

I am a former player of FFXI, and im thinking of starting up again.
I would also like to join your guild/LS but i would like it to be on ragnarok, since there i got some IRL friends. What do you think about that?

Im down. I'll definitely start a guild up with you. I just might need a world pass to get onto the same world.
Good to see a couple people like to try or retry this game.A couple thoughts however.Getting on ragnarok because your friends are there isn't a good idea.I would like the 6 player static to feel like they have earned a great satisfaction in doing everything ourselves without high level help.Everything can be done ourselves without help.
I'm not sure why you didn't just get your friends to get you a world pass to ragnarok.There is also a great possiblity you would end up joining your friends after sometime,we really need 6 players that will stick together.
Getting on a server without a world pass is possible.You would just have to keep creating a new player and deleting it until the game puts you into the same server.Although it's kinda cheesey i was hoping to get on my old server garuda,only because i have money there and could easily buy the world pass we would need for all 6.
otherwise any server doesn't matter to me,it would just take longer to get the server we need.Now if you have a few friendss that want to start fresh with us,and could get us the world passes,that's fine.Problem isthat there prolly already in a LS and really it wouldn't serve our purpose then.
I hope we can get a few others to join in,because trust me you need a static.No sense wasting many hours a day searching for parties.There is so much content in the game now ,only a static could get there full value from the game and hit a decent level within 3 months[prolly 50-60].This game isn't like other mmo's,it actually has alot of content,so you are pretty exhausted by time you hit level50 cap.
Try to be patient a little longer to see if there is any other takers.The game is old so not as many newcomers trying it out.This game is not solo friendly,so again please wait a little longer.

And also wizardry i do not think remaking a character will make it spawn in another realm, becaus when i was making my first character it started on a different realm than my mate. That was when i realized that you needed the world pass and stuff. but i tried remaking a character about four times. All times i ended up in the same world i was. Luckily we knew one guy on his server that was able to buy a world pass to ragnarok.
I also got to warn you that i wont be able to play all the time, im going to school. So that takes up some time, but the weekends are open and i guess 2-3 times in the weekdays.
I guess my play time in the weekdays would be from 18:00-24:00 gmt +1, and in the weekends in most cases i would be able to play allmost all the time, except from dinner wich i usually eat with my familly and not in front of the pc, and some sleep also.
That is what i got to say.
So its up to you, do you accept me with this info into your static LS that sounds like a great idea?

First up...tymora ,casual is more my pace as well.There is occasions when quests take a few hours to complete,some might take 6hours, but for the most part 2-3 hours on a few weekdays is cool.We still need a few other players to make 6.
As for ragnarok server..how would we all get into that server?I could buy the passes for GARUDA but ragnarok i don't know anyone that would buy it for us.One other thing,is mountain time 3 hours or 6 hours difference from EST?Your 6pm might be 12 midnight here?that wouldn't work however 3 hours is doable.

I can say that i am one hour before Great Britains timezone, im in the same timezone as paris.
I dunno how EST timezone is according to those numbers maybe you?

Ya i kinda remember from playing unrealtournament with british players they were like 6 hours difference.I'm in canada ..toronto would be the close major city.When it is 6 pm here,it would be like midnight for you.So playing after work until times like 9pm would send you into the wee morning hours of 3 am.
I still hope we can get some other players looking to join.Perhaps i will check out WARCRY/ALLA a couple other sites that favour FFXI to see if any newbs looking to get into the game.

Ok well some news .I have checked out a ton of websites and forums to find that there just isnt enough new players coming in.Pretty much every player that is coming back into game all want into a certain server,and are not looking to start at level 1 again.
So it looks like maybe DUNNO? TYMORA? LITH i guess is in a bad timezone and VOODOO seems like he/she would join.This leaves us a little short so i decided on GARUDa server because talking to a very good friend[Whahoppen],he said he would help out.He is reliable to the point of his shiftwork.
I need to know exactly who is in?And what job you want to be?my friend will most likely be a blue mage,so we will need for certain a tank and a healer.I can be any of these depending on what we need.
I got a WP already .So if 3 of you are in plus my buddy and myself that leaves us 1 short.We would be soloing till about level 10 as partying before that really doesnt work that well.
I am confidant that if were're only 1 short we should be able to find one more player.I activated my account to get a world pass so that if you wanted to start soloing with the hope of getting a 6th you can.

Pick WINDHURST as all in the same realm make it better for rank missions.

Very nice lith i didn't expect you to come since i think your in a bad timezone ,but we will see how it goes i guess.Healer and BLM is a perfect setup to a starting party.
I wanna hear from DUNNO? or VOODUDE?.I have another friend in server that has several jobs that he can fill in a 6th spot when my other buddy is on shiftwork.As long we have a healer/tank/blm any other jobs will be great.
Don't forget to take WINDHURST as your home.This will make some of the missions doable for us,as same hometown is a must.

I'll be available tonight (after 8:30 pm EST). I only got a chance to play a bit last night, so I am only lvl 2 right now. It isn't as easy as I thought picking up the controls and understanding the game, it's been a very long time . . .
Sniperg, if you join our group, are you certain you will be playing a Whm/Summoner? I am also playing a Whm, and hope to become a Bard. Will it be a disadvantage to have 2 Whm's in the party early on? If so, I have no problem switching to another class that will be better for the group.
So whoever is in, please post your starting class and what you hope to become when you unlock the advanced ones.
But even there i will become a summoner also

Yes, I think that is my problem now, also. When I first played FFXI, the controls came to me easier, but it has been years of playing with more standard controls in other mmorpgs and it is making it harder to get used to FFXI's control scheme.
I think I remember playing mostly with the keyboard, and I will try going back to that. I'll try to get on today earlier and solo up some more levels, but I won't be able to group before about 8:30 pm EST because I will most likely have to go AFK alot before then, and I hate doing that when I am grouped.
Most of my real playtime will be late at night, so I hope that works for you guys.
I will be online from now on untill a couple of hours, so if you come online whisper trunk!

Ok, so here are some of our class choices as I understand so far:
LIt4go - Blm/Whm
Sniperg - Whm/Summoner (or Blm/Summoner)
Tymora - Whm/Bard (or other, depending on what is left out or needed)
Wizardry - Tank or whatever is needed
Wizardry's friend - Blue Mage (most likely)
I may be wrong but don't you have to unlock this at level 30 or something? Which class would your friend play for the first 30? I suppose it won't make much of a difference as long as we get teh Tank/healer combo set.
Sniperg said he would also play his Blm, but that leaves us with 2 Blms then. So, if you want Sniperg, I can go ahead and play a Tank, or if Wizardry wants to play a tank, I can go with a Thief or something (I played a Thief originally, and it was painful, but I would do it again. Before anything is settled, lets see who exactly will be in the group and find out more about their classes. Hopefully we can get this settled soon, because I would like to start leveling up.

I love all the job classes to tell ya the truth,but i started a tank for now.My friends bluemage is level1.My other friend who can fill in might fill in as a ranger.
but anyhow im a galka tank as it fits best for that job.My name is Centurion,so you can send a /befriend Centurion if you see me on.I will most likely be a war/nin then eventaully become a Nin/war.I really love playing thief,so maybe my friend or someone will switch tanking from me later on.
To tell ya the truth 2 BLM is sometimes a dream come true.I would like a backup "provoke"but will see how it works out.2 WHm is even good for awhile,but a RDM becomes extremely valuable around mid levels.To help any of you out,RDM is perhaps the best farming job in the game as well,so this might be some food for thought.
There isn't a big hurry to get levelling because,i think it is a good idea before we go beyond level 10 to do a few quests.This will give you fame,takes quite a bit to raise it,so now is a good time to start.Mission 1 to start as well by talking to the guards near the exit to sarutabaruta.`
remeber to get your signets before going out so that you will get crystals and conquest points wich will be ver y valuable to us ,when we are ready to do some BCNM.
