The game looks fine. At first i was kinda looking forward to this but then it does look the same thing we already know about. I think this is a good thing for people who are not into MMO's yet and they get to experience what the "vets" had some time…

Im sure there are plenty other mmo's that fall under the description you've made but as of now the only ones that come to my mind are: Darkfall(currently released) and Secret World(release date to be announced).

If the game is successful as it's supposed to be i think they can live with selling vanity pets and items and character re-customization options like names and gender.
