Sorry, I simply meant that in SWTOR you absolutely can become a Sith Lord, but in SWTOR it is a title, not a class. I acknowledge that it was a class in Kotor 2, and humbly apologize for poor wording.

"Sith Lord" is a title, not a class. There are two classes which can become Sith Lords, if you earn it.
