As far as I know you are fine. You should be able to use any client as long as it is the correct version and you have an account with a registered key. I did the same thing you did.

Yeah, I kinda doubt there will be anything like tanks/APC's or anything like that. I'm pretty damn sure I saw videos with Armored Trucks, like money transport truck type things though.
