The Character Customisation is pretty basic compared to a lot of other MMOs, you get quite a lot of preset options but its not great imo.

Whilst I can't answer most of your questions, I can say this. Totalbiscuit used an XBox 360 controller in one of his recent videos, and said it was easy to use. May take a little while to suss out which button is for what, but didn't look too bad.

I also pre-ordered, pretty much on the strength of this. I can't believe the complete lack of communication on the official forums, its unbelievable. Easy way for me to change my mind. SOE need to remember that my money is easily spent elsewhere…
