Considering that Bioware has no announcement on their website and no other media outlet has reported it, you may want to take this with a grain of salt. Note the word "rumored" is used a few times. That being said, it's a possibility.
What game isn't a grind, in one way or another? If you've ever played WoW and reached max level, thats all you do is grind. If not for rep, then you're grinding 5, 10 or 25-mans for items. Probably the same in every other game too.

I did the 10-day trial and I didn't experience any lag what-so-ever. It's an interesting game, certainly worth trying out for a couple of months. I probably will when I get sick of WoW.

Looks more like a Diablo II clone than a WoW clone, which is what I think they were going for. If you look at the numbers that still play Diablo, i'm guessing that those are the people that they're trying to tap in to.
