right apparently i had another instance of FFIV running and it was telling me that in Japanese, i have set it up to English now but when i get to the character screen it says i havent set it up to create a character properly, what have i done wrong …

thanks for your time all, i am running Vista and i know where the config file is it just brings up a box when i try to open it

hmm im not having a lot of luck i really hope i havent got to reinstall, patching was not a fun experience either lol

what drop down menus i cant get anywhere i just get a box with Chinese characters in and then it shuts down i cant even get into the config file, this is a joke

hmm that does work it comes up with a load of Chinese/Japanese characters when i click on the config file as well

lol and now im getting some kind of error message in Chineses/Japanese and its not even getting to the login screen, not a great start
