Began with EQ1 in 1999. Have played SWG (preCU to recent), EQ2, WoW, AoC, WAR, Guildwars, DDO, and numerous free and forgettable MMO's. Currently has no active accounts.
Originally posted by Gravarg Sadly, SOE is still on my perma-ban list. If they were the last MMO company on the face of the planet, I guess I'd have to quit playing games lol. There's more than one occasion where SOE has done really bad stuff...pr…
You could essentially do this, almost the entire thing you described, in Star Wars Galaxies. If you had a player city you could put a cloning facility in it. A player could pay a fee to clone there when they died. I think the city could put a pri…
I tried this recently. Anyone else thinking about it, I wouldn't bother. I wrote a blurb in my blog about it if you wanna know why other than it just being another generic grinder with better graphics.

The way quests are done these days need to be changed all together if you ask me. Or removed entirely. All they do is reward solo play and penalize players who want to play with other people.
I tried it way back when it came out, was one of the first of the wave of free MMO's if I recall. I was really unimpressed by it back then. I had no idea that there was any PvP at the end game though. That same item upgrade system is in a lot of …

Agreed. WoW is still a very visually interesting game despite being so old-school. But it's high time they updated their character models. Am I really to believe that they cannot find the time or money to do this? Everquest 1 had no where near t…

I sort of get what you're saying but I think what's more important that the game world where you seem to focus is the game's community.
You know, it always seemed to me that most fun I would have would be the times when the drama was at its highe…
I don't think there will be a next one. Ten years ago you could have said "what will be the next Internet Explorer?" based on how many people used the browser back then. It dominated. Now with Firefox and Google's broswer it's all pretty divided …
