Wakfu is in open beta atm ,but its french only until the translation team finishes english translation. you can still play as long as you dont mind all the french.

I doubt there will ever be an MMO like animal crossing but there are a bunch of open sandbox games that have come out/are coming out. But if it doesnt have to be an MMO i would wait for animal crossing for the wii

theres mount&blade which is still in devolpment but its not an MMO just rpg Its 1st person medieval real time fighting and you can download extra mods for it to become different times and places
