the armorsmith is probably the most restrictive trade skill... all the other crafting professions can at least make some useful things without any help... so you just picked a bad skill for a trial account

I really havn't run into very many immature players, although I don't really have anything to campare LOTRO to, since this is my first P2P MMO. Ppl were way more immature in runescape...

I play LOTRO and I really enjoy it, but it can easily be soloed. There are group instances, but you could reach the level cap without ever being in a group.

I've found the silverlode server to be quite nice... however it is the only one I've spent significant amounts of time on...

the lower level light and medium armors do look pretty bad, but IMHO you can get some pretty nice looking medium armor at least (havn't leveled a light-armor wearing class up that high)
