the armorsmith is probably the most restrictive trade skill... all the other crafting professions can at least make some useful things without any help... so you just picked a bad skill for a trial account

I play LOTRO and I really enjoy it, but it can easily be soloed. There are group instances, but you could reach the level cap without ever being in a group.
