Played it since release, I miss everything of CoH/CoV.
There were no real reasons to close the game and both CO and DCUO are simply jokes for kids, not MMORPGs.

Originally posted by Tuyet I'm surprised there haven't been more complaints about the character wipes for unsubbed previously paid accounts. Doesn't seem fair or even a good idea to me.
Also Ryzom is now being promoted as a F2P game --- sure…

A free to play game that threatens to wipe your character if you do not sub... yeesh.
Oh and ...…
People that claim a full wipe of the game just don't really want to play it.
I know a lot of people that started *years* later the release and become "well known" homins, despite there were a lot of veterans around.
This is a sandbox, starting fir…
Originally posted by clamo I played this game years agao in offline mode. all this game is about is puzzle solving and it also tells you in more detail about the MYST story line. and yes a lot of reading is involved. so they brout this game back? um…
This is a fair review, but the reviewer didn't went too deep in it's history, probably because didn't got a chance to meet other players, expecially the very old fan of the Myst serie.
Ac tually the game started it's beta in december 2003, and the b…
Originally posted by SuperXero89 I liked Ryzom but never got around to giving it a fair shot. I used to play on an old gaming laptop with an Nvidia 8700M and a dual core 3.2GHz processor and got a decent framerate. Since I got a new desktop, my fr…
Ryzom fit it pretty well, but you need to enjoy also the foraging system that's not a simple click and gather but requires to learn a unique skill based on a sort of minigame, where the gathered material can even kill you in one hit.

Even with a small community, it's not hard to make some friend or ask in universe channel.
Solo it's pretty hard, but just 2 people, both with some healing capabilities, will totally remove the downtime, so you don't need to find big groups.

Most of the rest played or trialed and stopped.

thanks for the input and information. however, I tried Ryzom because people said it was a sandbox - I basically never play standard themepark games, so I did approach it with the "virtual world" mindset, not the "gr…
Originally posted by Biskop I dowloaded Ryzom recently and have been playing on and off for a month or so.

Ryzom was my second MMO (AO was my first, and URU Prologue was too different to be compared), i started playing it in december 2004.
I was at a game shop to buy EQ2. Once there, i found that awesome Ryzom box, so beautiful th…
