Let me explain. White Dwarf is the Warhammer magazine. When Warcraft was released with art directly rip[ping off Warhammer there was a big hublub about it. The Egghead store near me refused to carry it initially even.
If you don't know what White Dwarf is maybe you shouldn't be cmmenting on the history of Warhammer little Taru.
Iam tire do reading the phrase "WoW clone" because it is just so inaccurate. There is nothing creative new or different in WoW. Partially instanced? look at EQ and FFXI (others also). Interface is very similar to every modded user created interface from previous games. PvP styles? DAoC, L2 and ballista in slightly modded forms with UT and Fortress thrown in. Art stolen from the old Warhammer. The "good guys" really being the true evil (Alliance)...
The list is endless.
The is no such thing as a WoW clone because WoW is a combination of basically every creative game before it. They melted it down and regurgitated it with a large ad budget. It isn't a bad game, but nothing is cloning it. You can't clone something that isn't different from anything else.
If anything WAR is cloning aspects of the games WoW cloned.

gladly, Warhammer's graphics may be similar to those of WoW, but, they mock the figurines used in the bored game (way before any Warcraft series). Warhammer is going to be PvP based, like DAoC (also made my mythic). WoW has "pvp" but its nothing but a huge joke, a tiny inclosed space where you have limited freedom. Warcraft will have frontiers in which you can control towns keeps, and if its anything like the original (pre ToA) DAoC it will be far more talent based then gear based. Any retard with t3 gear can barrel over a lesser geared playeri n WoW.

And here we have a good example of a Blizzard fanboy. The only reason why WoW sells so much is because it says "Blizzard" and "Warcraft" on the box. Plus WoW is probably the easiest MMO I've ever played, so anyone can pick it up and play it.
I doubt WAR or any other MMO will probably surpass WoW's # of subscribers, but to say this game will fail is just outright foolish. Then again, just because a game has more players it doesn't mean it's the best. I'd rather play DAoC or EQ2 over WoW any day.

EA/Mythic may not see the numbers that Blizzard had but after witnessing all of the immature children that have tainted the gameplay in WoW, I am positive that I don't want 7 million people playing WAR, ESPECIALLY those that came from WoW.
I played WoW since closed beta and it has shown me just how juvenile/remedial an MMO can be. I have faith that Mythic (with the help of Games Workshop) can bring a better product to the table.

in all reality, everything about warcraft is a warhammer clone, do some research about that.

Why do you consider this a clone ?. Because its looksimilier to World of Warcraft, well thats true. But its more World of Warcraft there took the fantasy from Games Workshop in the first place. Blizzard did the same with Starcraft which look to Warhammer 40.000 universe. Today most company tries to steal/copy/clone each other idea. Right now EA have team up with Mythic because they want a fair marketshare to. Basic its all about money.

Hopefully you are right... right in the aspect this won't bring all the asshats from WoW over. Don't get me wrong, WoW has some great players, but a huge amount of the community is just complete trash, Horde and Alliance. Is WAR a clone of WoW... hell if I know, I don't have a huge wealth of knowledge on lore from Warhammer and only learned of Warcraft's lore after playing WoW. As for gameplay mechanics, you must know WoW just took from every other game and mod out there, used the Warcraft IP, and threw in a half-assed PvP system they are still trying to correct. Just look at the new updates for it such as the arena, outdoor PvP objectives, and revamp of the Honor system.
All I can tell you is that EA Mythic is only scratching development and already have ideas that surpass WoW. You sit in a dungeon for hours on end while trying to get gear while we sack cities in WAR and play a game that has a PvP system that wasn't an afterthought.

I would like to say something in reply to this...ur a retard!!! I played WAR'S alpha, and I play WoW, I like WoW alot, but WAR is by FAR better, the pvp is OUTSTANDING the pve is better then WoWs, the character designs are amazing...I could go on forever, this is for sure NOT a WoW clone, and btw there are already #s leaving WoW for WAR...im a Guild Leader for WAR, and 20+ left wow to play WAR when it comes out. and we only have 30 members. This is a lame attempt to try to draw WoW players who are thinking about playing WAR back to WoW, Do not listen to this person, no facts to back this, trust me this game will do very well, and the chance of them putting this game on console systems, this game will very well beat WoW in #s. Also according to AOL this may very well be known as "The WoW beater"
Only thing i see similar is the graphics and since this is how warhammer characters look there is nothing they can do to change it.
WoW ripped off the looks off warhammer and its a known and proven fact since warhammer is indeed older then warcraft.
So they cannot alter the aged old looks simply because some other game ripped it off.
Apart from that read up on the game.The few features it shares is generic to many mmorpg and certainly older then WoW who did a great deal of cloning as it is.
Many people know mythic for their pvp system and hope WAR can bring such a system to the game.Something i might add that WoW did very poorly-pvp.
Having the chance to play WAR, I can say, that WAR graphics are not as similar to WoWs graphics as many people think, ya, there a little more cartoony then daoc's or EQ, but they still are much more realistic then WoWs graphics, for example as you walk you armor will shine against the sun, and same with ur weapons, trust me. WoW graphics suck, WARs graphics are MUCH better

I just wanted to say, D3 is not on the horizon. Even if it is in the works, it's a long, long ways off before we see any evidence of it.
