there are no counter arguments because you haven't made a valid point. As I said before you can't compare character classes really, because there are too many variances in character development. The only way to make the comparison valid would be to take a fighter and a paladin and give them all the same skills, feats, equipment, and enhancements. and that wouldn't make either one of them very effective.

The problem CapLas is that you are throwing figures and stats around to compensate for the fact that you don't even play the game. Weather or not you said that DDO and PnP D&D are the same or not, your throwing around stats and such reflects that you believe that they are, to which those that actually play both say they are not.
Most of your postings in regards to stats are interesting but should go in the PnP section not the DDO general discussion. You are not going to win a debate telling us what is or isn't a better tank in DDO when you have openly admitted you only played until level 4. Just has your alter ego, the CapN you are by far in the minority in regards to your arguments on this forum.
You are not going to convince those of us that actually play that you have a better insight into the game than we do by posting builds. Actually experience often differs from builds. On paper I can make some great builds but when I attempt to put them to the test in reality they end up not doing so well.
If anyone goes into the game thinking that they are going to get the exact same feel out of the game as they do/did huddled around a table in their parents basement playing the PnP, they are going to be disappointed. No game will ever be able to replace an active imagination.
Anyway, I find this whole argument back and forth about the best tank in the game funny when it is a half dozen or more of us that actually play the game (elitist as you like to call us Las) only in disagreement with one person that has time and again proven that he/she doesn't appear to know much about DDO past what they have read on forums and what very little they found leveling a single character to 4 over the period of a few days.

Dec. 29th Lastera makes her (er. his) first posting to the DDO forum, and makes post almost exactly the same as CaptainRPG.
Both were listed as coming from Jacksonville, Fl. We call Lastera out on that and suddenly she/he changes it to Hollywood, Fl.
Isn't there something in the ROC about not having multiiple accounts? Guess he/she failed to read the ROC.

to Lastera: I took one level fighter to get Towershield and toughness feat. All you need to do is look away from those feats and pretend im a level 8 paladin ... and yeah, improved crit - slashing i took as my level 9 feat.

I didn't get back on until tonight 2am and I'm not Lastera. And I'm not even going to defend myself on this because watching you guys for the past 2 weeks accusing of being me was funnny enough. After watching my friend play the trial, I'm actually hoping DDO does well. I have no disdains. I'm hoping DDO takes the WoW and GW fans by storm. Seriously. If anyone goes into the game thinking that they are going to get the exact same feel out of the game as they do/did huddled around a table in their parents basement playing the PnP, they are going to be disappointed. No game will ever be able to replace an active imagination.
Anyway, I find this whole argument back and forth about the best tank in the game funny when it is a half dozen or more of us that actually play the game (elitist as you like to call us Las) only in disagreement with one person that has time and again proven that he/she doesn't appear to know much about DDO past what they have read on forums and what very little they found leveling a single character to 4 over the period of a few days.

The little respect i had, is gone im afraid.
to the rest of you: i really dont care who this person is. her/his posts started out fine, but now, lately they have had a strong resemble to Cap.RPG's posts. i have to admit that. Atleast now we know who to ask if we are in doubt about our builds. Just post here and Lastera the all-knowing-DDO-sage will answers and help us

Dec. 29th Lastera makes her (er. his) first posting to the DDO forum, and makes post almost exactly the same as CaptainRPG.
Both were listed as coming from Jacksonville, Fl. We call Lastera out on that and suddenly she/he changes it to Hollywood, Fl.
Isn't there something in the ROC about not having multiiple accounts? Guess he/she failed to read the ROC.

to Lastera: I took one level fighter to get Towershield and toughness feat. All you need to do is look away from those feats and pretend im a level 8 paladin ...
and yeah, improved crit - slashing i took as my level 9 feat.

With the same items, feats (except Toughness), the same enchantments (except Drow Spell Resistance) which should be traded for Resistance of Good (+3), Paladin’s Grace (+2) and pure class, your character will get a Fort save of 21, Reflex of 17 and Will of 22.
You’ll get a HP of 152, but your AB and damage is down by 2 points. (That's what Smite evil is for) Drow Resistance is useful for you, but what about the rest of your party members. Bulwark of Good and Resistance of Good can two of your best enchantments. The better your friend save, the less wipe out they’ll have. You still get 39 AC and you’re more of important asset than before. Also you can trade in Paladin Grace, if you can afford it and you can pick up Extra Law on hands or Great Devotion.
For your current build at 12th level spell, you should pick up mental toughness or lightning reflex . Maybe if you played on your paladin strengths rather than try to turn him into powerhouse, he do better.

I didn't get back on until tonight 2am and I'm not Lastera. And I'm not even going to defend myself on this because watching you guys for the past 2 weeks accusing of being me was funnny enough. After watching my friend play the trial, I'm actually hoping DDO does well.
