Some nice screenshots...

brihtwulfbrihtwulf Member UncommonPosts: 975

I was just playing tonight, and found a couple nice areas that I thought warrented screenshots.  These are from Kojan, near the Wood Elf starting area.  The character pictured is my Wood Elf bard.  These are taken from the settings I play with, I didn't boost it to max.  I play the game on high settings (not highest).  I think the areas here look pretty nice.  I will admit, I have posted some screenshots from other areas though that aren't that spectacular.  Anyway, have a look...

That's one of my favorite areas too around that bridge; the floating islands, architecture of the shrines, river beneath the bridge, nearby sheer cliffs and all that. That part of Kojan is great all together for sightseeing.

One question, where are saved the screenshots in the hard disk?.

Yeah i love that area myself, have a ton of screenshots from that area. Nice pics

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

    Graphics look pretty generic.

Yeah, I agree. I'd rather look like a block with different colored spiked hair like my Undead Rogue on WoW...

Awesome screens, brihtwulf. Thanks for this thread. Here's a new one from me on my rogue from the team pvp server. The next is my wawrrior from the RP server.

That maybe do to the housing theory, so maybe by next year the world will fill up. Next time , do fpv shots , cause the characters imo are detracting from the world .
You can play with the water appearance.  I usually like mine to not look very good for perf boost.

I think the graphics are impressive.  Truely amazing.

Yeah, that's not too good of a shot. My favorite place is Khan. When I get a chance , I'll post some SS of it. One of the most interesting things I found with rivers is when I jumped in one and realized I was moving downstream with the flow of the water.

No, you can't make the water reflective.  Vanguard doesn't have reflective water at all, not the way most modern MMOs do -  It reflects light, but doesn't show a mirror image style reflection, no matter what you put your graphics settings to.  So most water scenes looks like crap compared to just about every other MMO I've played in the past few years.

Or is it just that most of us don't have good enough graphics cards?

    When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

I unfortunately play the game on High Performance so it doesn't look as great as it could do.  These are two screens I quickly dug out to contribute to the thread.   They have the UI all over them for which I give my apologies.

Brihtwulf, the ones you opsted of Kojan look pretty amazing.  The ambience of that area is very cool.

    Enjoy anyway:

There have been a million other occasions I've either forgotten or being too busy fighting to take a screen.  I must remember to get on it more often.

Somebody take some screens with fraps running so we can see what the framerate is like.  The screenies look good but I want to see what kind of framerate people are getting with those settings running on a 6800.
