£5 says the Police don't do sod all again.

Really frustrating, I can't cut my lawns. I'm averaging about 3 cuts per lawnmower.

baff, I'm sorry but you really need to do something different.  I may not like your political views, but I don't like the idea of someone being robbed on a weekly basis, regardless of who they are.  As far as I know, you don't have many options at this point, but something needs to change.  Getting hit so often can only end in something worse.

Another £3,000 mower and the doors to my coach house are all smashed.

I clearly can't own anything of value round here. Burglar alarms don't stop them. They come in broad daylaight with people around smash their way in take what they want and bugger off. Ram raid, hard and fast.

I'd graffitti'd up the Lawnmower with spray cans to make it  all stupid looking and unsellable, but that wasn't enough.

I don't think I'll be able to get insurance anymore.

I going to buy a rusty old bag of bolts next.

    considered switching neighbordhoods?

Sucks man, I'm sorry. My dad has similar issues with his farm vehicles. These guys are well prepared and know how to get the job done and get out without being caught.

The most frustrating thing is that you can't help feeling that stuff that big shouldn't be hard to trace if the police put a bit more importance into burglary. Undercover guys in the market for stolen goods, use of their CCTV stuff etc. I'm sure we could all name a dozen things that they could take some resources off to cover that. (Apparantly they're busting plenty of pot growers in the UK every month - but I guess that maybe makes the news).

Sounds crazy but maybe that's it... Any burglar in my neighbourhood would waste their time.

Mate they could go down to the local Gypsy camp right now and just look in the back of every transit van if they were even remotely intrested. Job done, crime solved.

Instead they are going to be sitting outside of some school, inspecting cars for child booster seats.

I'm tempted to grow some of that pot. The Police never come and I need to make back some money.

I'm not sure the give up all worldly possessions solution is the one I am looking for. Unfortunately I think I've tried all the others.

Buy yourself a really big nasty dog and have him live in the garage.  That'll change the robbers' opinions about your house real quick and all it will cost you is about 200 pounds for the dog

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Build yourself an easy security system that is laser based. I drew out planes for one. All you need is, wood, glue, a fire detector, wires, a laser pointer (or a concentrated flashlight), a black film roll holder and some batteries.

Booby-trap the next one. A few searing bolts of pain should put an end to their endeavors.

I know how to build a Telsa Coil (Yeah C&C stuff), but I'm not responsible for your safety after you build it.

Never use a Tesla Coil. they are just too damn hard to focus the discharge, you'll end up getting shocked every time you go outside, and you'll probably even disrupt your electricity and cable.

Use a Plasma Cannon instead :P

Seriosuly, Riki has got a point, laser alarm systems work very well.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

It's a shame, Baff: In our wonderful US of A, we can usually shoot anybody that threatens us on our property (in some states).

That's why I always keep a knife nearby; should I ever need to shoot anybody I can plant it on the spot.

I think that countries such as Singapore have gotten it right: Severe penalties for minor offenses really put a dent in crime and in turn save millions of dollars for hard-working citizens.

Do you like to throw trash on the ground? 1000$ fine.

Do you like to vandalize public property? 100 lashings.

Do you like to sell addictive substances? I hope you had a will.

Do you like to steal? It's going to be much harder with stumps.

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

completely agreed. harsh laws keep citizens in their place. aslong as the government is not corrupt and abuses these powers, there should be no problem.

    I have loads of guns.

But instead of sitting in the dark on my Lawn mower twitching, I was up here ranting at the political gang about the nonsense of the day.

How much you want to wager that the thieves will call PETA just for a laugh?  Talk about a headache....
