Not reading what I said and then saying I said something else is something a moron would do.. Maybe you didnt replace items because you didnt do the quests in TBC? Tier 2 and Tier 3 were almost all obsolete, unless you wanted the naxx resist gear. Quests and instances made it obsolete, even though the quests/instances were trivial compared to what you would have to do pre-TBC to get a comparable item.
I know the way WoW has been for a long time, pre TBC. I know their PvP system has always been shit, and their PvE content was easy, uncontested, where you get infinite retries(unless you run out of gold)
Ginkeq you seriously have issues man, oh and by the way if you wanna talk about my title its gladiator now which is something you could never achieve. You can talk all the smack you want about people or wow but the bottom line is you played the game and acomplished nothing now you sit here posting all day long atleast I acomplished things in the game we both played. As previously stated if you think wow is so carebear and no skill in the pvp then lets see you on a top arena team cause it does take skill

I played WoW, beat all their PvE instances at the time. Also played BGs but owning newbies like you got boring for me.
The PvE in wow is more challenging than the newbies you have to fight in BG/arena. So it's more of an accomplishment than simply sitting in bgs/arenas all day long. You just want an easy way for a skill-less newbie such as yourself to get gear without having to do anything remotely difficult. That explains why WoW has so many people.. As long as the newbies put in the time, they get what they want(in pvp).

Most people who cry about newbs are the biggest newbs of them all so unless you grow a pair and come duel me you can safely talk about how much you own while you put nothing out there except more posts. The reason why I think WoW is lousy is when someone in your group or in the community tells your to "L2P" or "Learn to play" or when everything you say in the chat window is replied to in "Your mom". That's why I don't like WoW.

This statement alone makes this thread an entire joke. You really do not know what you are talking about. Cupertino was dead on. None of the drops till much later in your run from 68 - 70 even become remotely as good as the Tier 2 and Tier 3 items. Even then you will either A) Be doing high end wings of certain Dungeons (i.e Tempest Keep) or
Doing the 10 man or better raids.
I don't know what BC you were playing, but it's pretty obvious it wasn't Burning Crusade. Quest items replacing Tier 2/3 armor, please don't make me laugh. The quest rewards you get are good if you don't have any real raid gears. It isn't even till about around 65/66 that the gear even becomes close to comparable to Tier 1, outside of a few weapons and armor. (i.e the Goblin Arena event in Nag)

there is now...what's gay about wow, is that armor doesn't reduce spell damage taken, only ..'physical' damage from arrows, melee weapons, etc...
thus, spec'ing defensively is idiotic, which means shields almost never get used... it's absolutely retarded... why can't a shield or plate armor block a fireball?
the system is needlessly complicated by using resistances to block spells, and armor to block melee attacks... which means that you have to spec for one or the other, or both thus making you less effective at either...
basically, defensive players... just don't exist in pvp, you can't be a big badass armored tank warrior that's hard to kill in pvp, you have to be offensive... everyone is offensive....
and this attitude makes healing in pvp even more useless. because people don't spec for armor or resistance at all, they drop like rocks and are very hard to heal effectively, and much less mana effective to heal because they have no armor to absorb dmg....
you try to heal someone and they get rocked in 2 seconds, before you can even fucking cast anything
anyway... just retarded. blizzard effectively gutted strategy in pvp by making armor and resistances block different types of attack... even if you are trying to ward off spells, you have to pick between... i think 5 different spell resistance types...
it's just fucking stupid madness.

of course i cant prove him wrong that eq's pvp system is better or worse than wow's, nor can he prove my argument wrong, its just an opinion, heh.
my point has always been how flawed and hyprocritical his argument is regarding wow pvp vs eq pvp, especially the wow arena pvp. i agree with his about the honor system though.

truewho gives a shit who has the best pvp, im gonna wait for AoC and WAR which "in my opinion" kick both of these games asses in that matter
Btw, in WoW (I feel sick everytime i use that word) the PvP is so equipment based. That skills are unknown to the raiding "'whores"

I agree with some parts of Ginkeq's rationale, but I disagree with others. I feel WoW is superior to EQ in a lot of ways, and EQ is superior in very few. The majority of gamers feel the same as I do.
Yes, we will all leave WoW when a better game comes out. It takes very little wit to figure that out.

You guys did get outwitted. You tried arguing with a veteran who has beaten WoWs PvE and PvP system, and you fought valiantly, but you lost. I have too much knowledge of WoW endgame for you guys to put up a fight.
WoW arena is garbage. How many times can you do it before you get sick of fighting random players youve never seen before? I think it sucks honestly. I'd rather be fighting people on my own server for top title, then having some blizzard event where all the best players from the servers fight it out (and not some automated garbage like the current arena system).
There is no recognition in WoW arenas for the top players. Everyone has the same generic titles, and no one cares honestly. What is the point of having a title when you cant even go out and world pvp? No one fears you, or your title. You arent distinguished from anyone else by a title...
EQ PvP allowed for more variability too. In WoW you have generally 2-3 generic builds per class that everyone uses. They use the same strategy etc. because it's Blizzards vision of how you should pvp. I say, let players customize their character more. In EQ, you could grind at max level to distinguish your character from other people. You dont get infinite retries on your build like in WoW.
EQ PvP has meaning, WoW PvP does not. WoW doesnt even have PvP, it's basically an instance that is meaningless other than a way for players to spend time racking up honor. That is why it is boring.
Agreed. I am being somewhat of a poor sport by saying this because I played and paid for the game for 2 years. I really don't know how it's lasted as long as it has. The raiding aspect is quite good but it requires too much time.

how can i lose to someone that thinks eq pvp was a good system because he could not be killed by 6 other even level players simply because and only because of the gear he was wearing and how many AA's he grinded for 5+ years?
you mean to tell me someone that plays wow pvp on a relatively even playing field has no skill but yet someone who can just stand there (in eq) and just turn on auto attack and kill a entire group does have skill?
that is what you are telling me, and that is a crap pvp system if i have ever seen one. i mean wow's honor system is a pos but is gold compared to eq pvp.
what? as apposed to being an unkillable god like in eq? sure it is pointless to fight random people in an arena but so is not being able to land one spell on someone because of their pve gear.
at least in arenas it takes teamwork and skill to win, besides gear. but you wouldn't know that, you quit before that "flop" TBC came out.
LOL what meaning is that? the only meaning you got out of killing someone in eq is who had the pot gear and who didn't. although i will say being someone who was not uberly geared, when i did happen to kill someone my lvl, i did it with skill, not because my gear was 10x better than theirs.
see, that's something you will never understand, you think having skills in pvp is having pot gear and 1500 AA's and being unkillable because of it. i think skill is overcoming someone with that gear strictly because of skill.
