666 = Number of the Beast

    777 = Number of God

    666 = Number of Man

2109 = End of the World

    4.  Nasa has declared that in December of 2012, we will experience a complete and utter solar flare storm that happens once every 10,000 years.  The solar flares are supposed to be so great the magnetic bands around our Earth will temporarily go crazy and any electromagnetic type of equipment will burn out (cell phones, computers, etc)

Nasa has declared.....heh, yeah right.  Link please?

These links are from NASA themselves and it took me two minutes to find and a little over ten minutes to read.  Just do a little research on your own before you call bullshit.  These links are directly from NASA and a simple research will tell you one of the largest solar flares in our civilized history will occur in 2012.
That would be pretty impressive if they could predict solar flares five years in advance.  But I'm pretty sure that if anyone from Nasa claimed he could do that he would become a laughing stock.
They have. Take a gander on their website. You'll be suprised.

Ok Enigma, I read three of those and then it seemed a little pointless to go on with it.  I think you need to read things a little more carefully.

There was no prediction of a cataclysmic solar flare scheduled for december of 2012.

There was some talk about the solar flare cycle and the general intesity of it.  But there was no....."There will be a massive solar flare on THIS day" type of thing.  And there were certainly no predictions about the end of the world.

You're taking some fairly mundane stuff about the solar flare cycle and blowing it all out of proportion.

There was no prediction of a cataclysmic solar flare scheduled for december of 2012.

I never stated I believed there would be a catalysmic event tied to the solar flares scheduled for December of 2012. I merely pointed out one of the worse solar flare storms will hit us on December 2012....and Nasa does say December 2012.  A small spike solar flare temporarily whiped out Canada's electrical grid for hours.  The solar storm in 2012 will make the one that hit Canada look dismal at best.

I'm merely putting a lot of data together that can adversly affect our conditions in likened within the same month and year that correlateds to December 21, 2012.  Im not the only one who entertained this idea.  The geography channel, History channel, Discovery channel, Learning channel, PBS, and NASA television even entertained the Dec 21, 2012 end of the age with this and tied it with the other things (if you must have links for these too, I can certainly provide them).

You asked for links because you thought it was BS because you didnt think NASA would even toy with something like that.  Not only did I show you links that they "more than toyed with the solar flares of 2012" but I even gave you links to pdfs that talked in great scientific detail concerning these solar flares.

There was some talk about the solar flare cycle and the general intesity of it.  But there was no....."There will be a massive solar flare on THIS day" type of thing.  And there were certainly no predictions about the end of the world.

I think "solar flare intensities will come to it's greatest peak within December of 2012" pretty much is a close set of parameters that correlates to December 21, 2012 to me.

You're taking some fairly mundane stuff about the solar flare cycle and blowing it all out of proportion.

I wouldn"t mind one bit of the world ended in 2012.

It would save me from having to endure this generation of teens to early 20's.   Nothing but a bunch of malnurished looking, sun starved idiots who also look like they all got their hair cut from a cosmotology student who's been in class for a month tops.   Music sucks too that stems from it.

I do realize not ALL are like this but from my daily travels... Yeah It's pretty much spot on.

I've heard all of this.   Not to mention the world ending on 7-7-7.    We'll see wont we?

PS:  I'm in my early 30's.

I'm off to a bar or something.   Lates.

Well I read that the mayan calander is just the end of a cycle not the end of the world and it does not say it is the end of the world.

What if the world has already ended and this is all just a figment of our brain's imagination?  Maybe this is the last seconds of our lives as we are dying and we have no idea how much time is passing by?

Well I do not believe its the end of the world. Since the Ba'tun is "End of,New Beginning" in Mayan culture. Many messed up things happen in 2012. But, unlike other days with a apocalyptic premise. 2012 has many things that will happen that is based on fact.

Many of the predictions are made by scientists. Earth wobble,Centering Sun, increased solar flares, a certain meteor, gravitational stint, ect. This is unlike other  apocalyptic predictions which offer either no scientific fact or just one coincidence.

Well given the data we have:
    1. Mayans, Chinese, and the Greeks (oracles) all stated that on December 21, 2012 (their equilivants of December) will be the last day of this age. All three civilizations stated this hundreds of years apart, thousands of miles apart.

    Conspiracy.

    2. The Mayan calendar is so accurate it has 100% successfully declared the exact day of a Solar and/or Lunar eclipse to this day.

Did that prove anything? Seems to me it only proves they had a very good calendar.

    3. The Mayans in 700 AD declared the exact month, day, and year when the "paled skin bearded Gods will come to them and wreak vengeance." That day, Cortez appeared on the shores and eventually wiped out their civilization.

    Conspiracy.

I highly doubt NASA can predict such things. If they can (against all odds) it's a conspiracy.

    5. Once every 250,000 years our Earth, Moon, Sun, and the black hole in the center of our galaxy aligns itself. On December 21, 2012 these planets and entities will again line up. Scientists aren't sure what will happen but some suggested anywhere from typhoon like conditions to our surface crust being turned lopsided (meaning... the Poles will become the equator and vice versa) in the matter of days or even hours.

Probably nothing. Sometimes scientists are slightly too paranoid and shouldn't be trusted.

    6. According to Nasa, around December 21, 2012 we will experience a very near miss of an asteroid as well as other near collisions of a couple more asteroids dating from Sept of 2012 and the end of December 2012.

I doubt NASA can predict such things.

    7. If you take the number of 2012 and part it with 235 you get 8,5617021276595744680851063829787. Isn't that evidence enough!

But do your own research and draw your own conclusions

I think that 666 isn't the number of the beast. I think it's 696 that's originally the real number. But don't ask me for link or anything. So the real date should be 2139.

lol...dont be a researcher for your full time job.

You answered half of everything as conspiracy. You should look into the things I stated rather than saying "conspiracy."  Open your mind and look into it.  What kinda life can you have if everything you do not believe in is a conspiracy. Tell me why. Give me reasons; argue and debate with concrete presuppositions to back yourself up! Come on man, you must have taken some sort of debate class in school

I bet you think the moon landings was a conspiracy too huh lol.  Dont tell Buzz Aldrin.  He'll punch you in the face.  No one likes conspiricists

...oh and it's 666 and not 696.  Take a look at the original greek text...it clearly states 66 and 6. Remember, just because it's cool to accept something new and contrary to what was traditionally believed to be right doesn't necesarily make you right.  Seems to be the style these days among you younger folks.  Let's take a historical fact and just come up with our own version and make the old version not true! Seems kinda silly to me.  But you know..im in my 30s; what the hell do I know.

BTW, could anyone link me to a source of the mayans predicting the coming of "the white bearded man"?

I'd love to know how the mayans knew Santa was on his way.

Maybe it is just me, but I don't think it is possible to predict anything beyond a good guess.

The main reason is that time does not exist, only change does, time is a unit of measure made up by us to better orginize ourselves around the change we observe (no I don't have a source on that, that is just my logical conclusion).  So if one cannot look back or forward in time by any means, since it doesn't really exist, then how can anybody predict anything.  Such predictions made by the Mayans would require a magic power or sci-fi machine to look forward into nonexistant time, and some sort of determinism, meaning everything is predetermined, which of course I think is rubbish.

Prechance the world did suffer some cataclysmic event in 2012, I think it would be sheer coencidence.

Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

I don't think we need to worry: All of the prayer from the religious people (?) on this planet will create a magical god barrier that will deflect all gamma radiation!

Unless a robed man sprinkles water on your head though, you're left without a magical god barrier and will be disintegrated.

um the mayan's predicted the end of the world every few  years( one case says their world ended on avg of every 39 years) it was one of their core belief's. Their time system had tons of 'end of the worlds" because thats what they beleived , the world ends and something new replaces it .The end of the world to them was not what we think now, one of the newer theories based on recent findings thinks it signified the death of a certain woman who carried a special vase and wore a white dress( cant remember her title but she is pictured on almost every damn pot they uncovered in certain areas) and answered to no one since she was a god or something ( not sure yet) so when she died the world ended because they beleived the current world was of her mind anyway.  The one thing they do know is the calanders were always reset when she died and it was makred as the "end of the world"

    Different views differernt meanings.

I've never seen 696 refered to as the number of the beast but I have seen 616 and 665 referenced before. So other possible dates are 2107 or 2009. Also the number of man is the same as the beast so your date should have been 2169.
