Not much a chance of meeting when the levels are so far apart now is there? Third when I was playing the game last weekend I looked at level 1 - 10 level 10 - 20 level 1 - 50 etc etc, and AB is the only server you could call well populated.
It is strange that you choose to break your own arguments by constantly supporting them by lies, and that you should know if you bothered to check it. But now you obvioulsy hasn't nor do you care to check it as you can make a statement like that.
Well populated and most populated is two very different things.
Well all I know is that I came back to EQ2 after 2 years (first time I only played for 3 weeks as my system couldn't handle it), I began on the Fae trial and subbed as soon as my trial was over. (about 3 weeks ago)
I was constantly surrounded by other new players, grouping was no problem at all, the chat channels are full and active (alot of helpful people BTW - great community as far as I've experienced.)
Starting areas are as full as any other MMO that I've played - I'm in the level 20+ zones now and they are just as active if not more, I can stand almost anywhere and see players of my level, sometimes I have to wait on spawns due to the population which I don't mind as its better to be full than empty.
Anyway that's my experience noobie area was very populated, and in my level 20+ zones I'm in now they are very populated and active. Most fun MMO I've played in a long time. This is on Splitpaw EU server, so my experience may be different from some of the US posters.
I am talking newbie popualtion, not lvl 50+ toons. If I am just starting I could care less if there are 2000 lvl 50+ running around I want someone to group with at lvl 10. Although I am sure a fanboy will post that he was just on Crushbione and there were 50 lvl 7's running around. I could really care less, I have retired all my old EQII toons anyway. SOE can run the game in the ground if they want, no hair off my behind.
Einstein..... do you even know about the mentoring system? You do realize that everyone in this thread that actually plays EQ2 is laughing there ass off at you right now yes?
Actually, people are laughing their ass off at you, because if you expect us to believe peopple are mentoring down to help out new players you're just, well, I don't want to get banned. Suffice to say, it was going to be an insult. We'll believe that as soon as we believe EQ2 is even a third of the way to 1 million subscribers. People don't mentor down to help out newbies, level 20s, level 30s or anyone unless its a friend. Go ahead and try to say otherwise.
Hell, the game probably is filled with lvl 70s mentoring level 10s. they don't even know. RIght? Is that the new way to raid?

My Guild Mentors down constantly and so do many other guilds, and Non guilded individuals in the game. it makes for a tighter community. Our Guild even has a Mentoring day weekly. However if you are a typical WoW player....no one will want to mentor you as the EQ II community doesn't suffer jerks gladly.
See chuckles this isn't WoW, the community is a lot more mature...that's probably why you can't comprehend that. The get mine attitude doesn’t truck in EQ II and those that have it usually end up on threads like these trashing the game because there grind and greed tactics just doesn’t work..

Raid level 10's? LOL, who's laughing now... Btw, we had 6 20-50th level mentored PU raids, because that's where raids actually exist, this weekend and gave all the loot to the level appropriate toons. Thanks for your input though.

I tried the Play the FAE last weekend Matraque. The only bad thing about that is it limits you to one zone, but it is still a improvement on the trial of the isle crap. I made a new account and rolled 3 FAEs one on Antonia Bayle, one Blackburrow and one on Crushbone. Logged on several times with each, that is why I said anyone starting new should make their toons on AB. On the other 2 the newbie pop was dismal at best, I could rarely find anyone level 1 - 10. AB on the other hand had a very good newbie population at all times with a good 25 - 30 lvl 1 - 10s at almost any time.
That why I say SOE would be better off merging a few servers instead of shoveling horse shit like the poster above said they did at the fan faire. Sorry boys but this game does not have a million active players. I figure 150 to 175k max and a good 20% or more of those are on AB. Merge down to 5 to 10 servers and new players will be more likly to stay and then build the server list up if nescessary.
I think only 1 person said it had million of active players... might want to direct your comment to that person instead of pointing every one.
What is the results of merging 2 medium servers? (yeah, most of em are medium right?) I think it will exceed AB pop. Bad move.

My guild mentors down constantly to help... I think that is what that person was pointing out.
But if someone offers to mentor down, what is the prob? It a nice feature and if a nobody offer it to me, i'll do it. Hell, i'll even do it if that allows me to clear grey quests.
