Seriously, Rather then picking and choosing pictures, why not read what other people said about the show? They pretty much ALL agree about what Title got the most Love.
I do find it rather amusing that people called that Warhammer display packed. There are 5 GOA in the front and center of that post, and I can see 4 people playing, 2 of them appear to be about 14 years old. They wouldn't have been allowed into the AoC area, because its rated M for Adult Subject matter. If you have a DEMO going at a show and somebody is not at every single monitor, then your title is just patetic. Theres 300x more people then Demo's going, so EVERY single one of them should be occupied by a player. This doesn't make it a good demo.. It just makes it.. A DEMO at a show.. If you've been to one you know what I mean.

There were whole guilds that came just for the WAR booth. Please take your own advice and read the facts from people that were there instead of picking apart selected photos. Can you see where this post makes you lose any and all credibility because of its hypocrisy? If you erased everything but the first two lines your post would be excellent.

I agree that AoC should have won any award that show gave out for online game just for the amount of "new" content they showed and the amount of places they showed it.
I'm sure being in Microsoft's section didn't hurt.
But it's silly to say that WAR had a poor showing, considering every single review and impression from people that were there talk about the "lines" they stood in. There's no reason to compare the booths. WAR put on a good show, and AoC put on a good show.
I think that picture where the GOA guy is poking fun at AoC's booth is all in fun. There are pictures of him sitting at the throne and also talks of AoC guys playing WAR. I would take it as fun-poking. Nothing more, nothing less.

I still dont get why he would post how he would do it as an M rating with elements of AoC mentioned for me it was suggestive and therefore it was easy to put 2 and 2 together to base an assumption of an ill effected aim at AoC. However, I did suggest for opinions from both sides with which you brought yours forward. I never said or meant any of it too look like spin, and I never said I couldnt take a difference of opinion. However, I have drawn my own conclusions from post 1, 21 and the pictures, and also from Athelans mis quoted post on here shoved in the war forums, posted by logan gregor, and also Funcoms - Gaute in his delay letter to the community.

No worries... I don't think anyone on these boards is mistake free. I came down on you too harsh as well and I apologize. I DO think you contribute to these forums, just lately your posts have come across more extreme then before and got under my skin a bit. I think this thread shows that reason > fandom. I love the conflict of opinion on these boards but at the same time I think we all need to strive for truth. It is too easy to manipulate things we find on the web to back our opinions.

Thats why I do read and will continue respect your postings. The context of what he was trying to address was, before we knew anything about the ratings there was a raving horde of people who wanted a m rated WAR game. The warhammer Ip has a lot of sex,beer and AO themes, buts its also a game father and son can get into. Some people wanted a darker sided war. His post was to tell them im sorry we can go down that road. The horde was bringing up well ,AOC is going to do it so why not you? He addressed them. He even went so far to address his fears of the m-rating and let us inside for a bit into the small mmo dev circle that he chatted with AOC devs about the hard road. To me he saying in the face of it all those guys got balls, because its not a easy road. And like you said I think a healthy rivalry is good but we the fans are well to blame if AOC devs and WAR devs need to have a death match to feed our inner fanboi.

I agree that the photo of an empty AoC booth and packed WAR booth was spin.
But interestingly, it was spin for the exact same reason that the siege footage was spin.
Footage where a lot of the truth is hidden from view so as to lead others into a misrepresentation of reality based on the agenda of the person providing the footage.
The empty booth pic hides what it was like when it was packed in the same way the siege footage hides what it is like when there are actual players involved.
I think its a great analogy, and explains why I made such a big stink about the siege stuff. The way the fans in this thread felt when they saw those two pics is the same way I felt when I saw the funcom footage. That even though it TECHNICALLY showed something taking place in reality, that doesn't mean it was accurately portraying the big picture, the real picture. The truth.
I know the same old usual people that contradict will still disagree, but really its not my goal to convince them, nor has it ever been. But I think some of the other people, who don't already have fan-based preconceptions, will read it, think about it, and see there are actually some good similarities between the two cases.
