Niche market??? Sorry but your completely wrong...this isn't the 80s anymore (yes I remember them lol) PC ownership is higher than it ever was and PC gaming is a multi-billion £/$ industry which has overtaken the movie industry in both profit and turnover.
MMOs are still a niche market when compared to PC and console gaming as a whole but that's a different point altogether.
I DO think its worth linking to here; however, not because I think these games will "destroy" wow - but more to point out that clearly what I and I suspect others would consider a "good" game(or anything else) has nothing to do with what is popular... which is how I've always felt about WoW; for all the difference THAT makes

I strongly believe anyone who wants a share of the market will have to go for the niches...
Why play a WoW clone when you can play WoW? I hope we see more games like EvE, PotBS and Darkfall will probably have more success than games like WAR just because they are doing something different. Warhammer has a great IP but won't make it a great game. I played tabletop warhammer for years and have absolutely no interest in the MMO version.
