A really cool early-SWG type mmorpg WELL online

Hey mates.

I have stumbled upon a really cool new title that is now in beta testing.

A player driven world, many different organisations and professions, tons of endgame content and all in a world of techno-magic.

This game looks very much alike early SWG but the world is a brand-new original.

Check it out - methinks it'll become a real hit soon.

Subscriptions to the beta are in Russian and I'm sorry, but I can read 50% French, bits of Spanish, English, Dutch and German and even some Latin, but NOT Russian :P

That is why there is an international fan-forum for you mate ;)

And only closed beta is on atm so subscribtions won't be too useful for you either ;)

Just take a look wha this game has to offer though.

The english server is supposed to come live early 2008.

Interesting way to handle PvP sounds like it has potential but then all games have potential...would be sweet to see the Aarawns quad wield weapons .   Overall it seems like a bit of a different approach will be interesting to see how it develops.

You can take a look at Arrawn's animation here :)

Holy crap, how have I never heard of this one before? I guess because its Russian... makes me think I'm missing out on a whole host of promising games because they're foreign.  Arrawns look sweet, I'll be watching w.e.l.l from now on.

Thing is the devs are trying to keep it secret so it would be a real blast once it comes out, but imho they are overdoing it a bit :D

The first thing I do when I read a post about 'an amazing new MMORPG' is check the OP's post count. If it's below 500 then I won't read the thread. Do I win?

    What an interesting approach :D

    -21 now-

It's for you to decide mate. Totally. :D

You are usually 99.5% correct with that approach this is the time you are .5% wrong.  So chalk this up as a loss and go back out there and try again.  I hardly ever come to the PUB and hardly ever post, but  this actually does look pretty interesting.  I watched the videos and with out digging too much into it, it does have that dirty word "potential" (as has been mentioned before).

Hohbein, it might be worth investing a couple brain cells to check it out.

Hm, it DOES look promising so far. Lets hope we see more detail. Some good games came from Russia and eastern Europe recently, so I have some hope.

Well Wow! That looks amazing. From their monster animations to the environments and screenshots, its all so professionally done! I want to get my hands on this game right now! I certainly hope they charge some sort of monthly fee for this work of art because it looks like it will deserve it!

(also, games with monthly fees seem to be cared for better than non-monthly fee's)

Thats what totally blew me away was the professional approach they had

Im always a person for details, and little things like website design influence me a lot (call it "polish", i guess thats what im thinking of)

This game, which seems to have come out of no-where, has a polished website, great flowing animations, beautiful scenery.... as long as it doesnt turn into an item shop game, ill deffinetely give it a look

plus i really like how the developers thought out many of the concepts, and were thinking outside the box

Here we go yet another new medicore MM...Oh wait.... this doesn't look medicore at all.  They just might be right about this one.  It actually does sound really good.  Of course I thought Rapid Reality games sounded great and look where that got me.  Still I'll be keeping an eye on this game

    One word. Anti-aliasing.

Beyond that, might be worth looking into, assuming you trust software from Russia.

what do you mean by "One word. Anti-aliasing"? Not quite sure what it is, although I know its a form of rendering. Also, they haven't given us a reason not to trust software from Russia so i don't see the problem.

As an American I couldn't understand a thing those lovely ladies were saying, but based upon what I saw this game has many promising features & concepts.

It is definitely a game worth keeping track of to learn more about.

Rather than link to the Anti-aliasing wiki, it's the keen little option on the video settings tab of most games, Vanguard notwithstanding, that removes the jaggies from around the edge of diagonal textures.

New info has just been released about magic in game - interesting how they try to keep equal amounts of magic and tech...

It acn be found here on the fan forum: http://wellonline.proboards99.com/index.cgi?board=mech

And yes there's everything just fine with anti-alising :D
