Ok...Lots of posts about PvP...My humble opinion is...that this game would be perfect with a good PvP. Not Humans Vs Humans, but playable Bane Vs Humans! That would be perfect! Imagine ,at least one or more Planets where the playable Bane could level with interesting content and quests and then one or two or even more planets where the playable Humans would clash the Playable Bane!! Oh God! The orgasm...
Yeah this would be far superior to clan vs clan PVP (in my opinion of course )
Well I wish someone would have stopped me when I spent the money to buy this game. Its not a new game, its not even fun to me really. The character customization is very dull, very dull, you'd think that Oblivion or SWG would have set a point with in depth character customization. Though the people are usually armored up. Where is the Player housing? Coming Where is the unique features? What do you consider unique? Graphics are not even great but takes a lot to run them... I've seen a lot worse Nothing cool about crafting.... Yeah the crafting sux but has potential for being developed further but then i didnt get TR for the crafting!!!! Maybe I've played too many games in my days and expect an outstanding game that has it all, I.E., huge world, so huge that there is only one server. Able to build your own city from scratch. Inter-act with player building and NPC buildings with the game, like forts and so forth. Totally customizing characters and a couple dozen classes to choose from. Like your running around trying to do a mission or quest and out of nowhere a NPC comes over to you asking for help and over there hill is a little house being attacked by baddies and you have to help the NPC and what not. like a real living MMORPG world. Just something that will grab you and be like, wow..... Other than that its just the same ol' same ol', Its too much like another hyped up grinding game from PlayNC
I got TR for free when they shut down AA. I thought I had cancelled AA but I guess I must have had a running sub and never noticed. They gave me beta access too so i played the game for a bit and I just didn't dig it. The game looked pretty good and other then beta lag I didn't have any problems. In the end it just seemed like more of the same old thing thats been around forever in MMO's. I didn't hate the game I just found it to be boring. Honestly though I think just about every MMO out there is pretty much the same these days. Im just waiting for a developer to try something new and TR wasnt it. I really wish it had been.
I do have to add the title of this thread made me laugh. I guess since the OP said enough is enough well then that right there should end it. He even added a exclamation point. That makes it offical. The OP reminds me of my mother when I was 8. I better watch myself or the op might start chasing me around with a big wooden spoon.

From what I've heard a third planet is in the works with new races, maybe they can open up some of the races to players like you suggested with the Bane? Have a second new race that is open to players, they're at war with the Bane and humans? So it's like a three way fight, AFS, Bane (NPC) and a new race that is open to players. After all threesomes are always more fun, right?
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"
I could continue, but why bother? - Good question, why do you bother trying to bring down a game you never played live?
I did play it live, I actually pre-ordered it in June on the strength of the game as it was back then. Unfortunately almost ever patch between then and the pre-order preview sucked the fun out of the game, failed to address the problems, and generally redefined 'meh'
after that, there was no way in hell i was subscribing to such a shoddy offering.
I had hoped that the game would improve with the good old Miracle Patch(tm) right before the pre-order preview weekend, but that hope was dashed against the rocks.
Now, after seeing the rudimentary roadmap for what they intend on adding to the game, I'm afraid that I have reset my previous thoughts that the game would actually be out of the current pay-to-beta stage within 3-6 monhs upwards. It's looking like it's going to take at least 6 mothns, if not a year, before it's actually truly ready for prime-time. Right now, it's only good for fanbois and DG's sycophants, it's certainly not in a state worthy of my investment of time, or money.
of course, your mileage varies
I understand that some people might not like the game and some like the game, i'm with the I Like the game, but you ...sorry man i have read many of your post posted HERE!, and each of your post showed us all that you seem to play the game very shallow, futher more you never really explained ON THIS FORUM why you didn't like the change, i mean the game was far to easy...is that what you mean you love easy/shallow mode?, you say it sucked the fun out of the game, you mean you enjoyed all the content THAT WASN'T INGAME at that time and it sucked when they put more content in the game?, you mean those skills that didn't work correctly was fun to you back in beta? Did the game became to hard as that is what did happen with several patches, they boosted up the AI?
Seriously man you just far to shallow it seems to grasp this game, might be because you new to games, or just not used to be confronted by GAMERS, you call some of use fanboy's is already a proven point on how ignorant you seem to think about games/gamers.
Then the talk about HYPE, sorry?? why would a GAMER believe in hype, i bet you must still believe in Santa Claus.......Then that notion of a Mirecle patch....another LOL thing, are you that new to games and gamers?...well must be as you can't seem to be willing to have a decent discussion in why you don't like the game, lets face it many people have already asked you this question on why you didn't like hte game, and each time you reply shallow and explain nothing. This my friend is shallow, the way you react, shame kinda espeicaly when your age is or should be that of a adult who could be mature enough to explain what is wrong in your opinion.

The character customization is very dull, very dull, you'd think that Oblivion or SWG would have set a point with in depth character customization. Though the people are usually armored up. Where is the Player housing? Would be nice i agree, but it was never meant to be a feature in the game...........yet...who knows about it's future, i can see the game evolving where we might start to rebuild society in time, maybe wishfull thinking ......but it doesn't bother me it isn't in ....yet Where is the unique features? Cloning, use of different skills/weapons, fast past action, actackes everywhere, which MMO has nailed it like TR??? unlike other games where you are able to use ONE UBER skill the rest of a game/character live/lvl. But most i see complaining seem ot play he game very shallow ...sorry to say. Oh the sci-fi theme Graphics are not even great but takes a lot to run them... Could be if not playing it with a uptodate system Nothing cool about crafting....Opinion, i am a craft junky aswell in most MMORPG i played, TR doesn't satisfied my need to fully craft but it's enjoyeble once you get the hang of it...again i will admit a AUCTION house would improve the crafting community, but overall crafting fits the game. Just something that will grab you and be like, wow..... I admit I PLAY FAR TO MANY games, in closed beta i was indeed expecting more of TR, but after being in open beta and reading up on hte info TR provided i really got into the game... the game is fun...sorry some of you seem to have lost the way of having fun and take certain games far to serious. Other than that its just the same ol' same ol', Its too much like another hyped up grinding game from PlayNC. Grind is a mindset i consider people have who are either new to this genre or simply uable to play this genre...sort of hte shallow type of player who seems to believe in hype and grind
But thats my opinion.
A smart move before making a post like this would be to FIRST read up about hte game.
If you where expecting those things you mentioned you have not read up on the game, you couldn't expect those things if you simply did some reading.
TR has a lot of great qualities, but without great PvP it's all for naught.
That is lame comment. Not everyone play for PVP. Its a RPG and to roleplay in the TR setting, humans fighting humans? That is silly.
Well, TR might not have chosen to incorporate PVP on this basis, but countless Science Fiction stories/books I've read over the years have addressed exactly this topic. Even in the face of horrific alien invasions, humans were greedy and corrupt enough to still jockey for power even in the face of extinction.
Its not a new concept, and could have been incorporated into the story. Heck, human players could have been given the option to ally themselves with the Bane and been outlaws to other human settlements.
Don't excuse TR's choice as being outside the realm of possibility...it was just a choice they made when designing the game....nothing more, nothing less.....
right on bro I am so loving this post.
Something is missing from TR man I cant put my finger on it yet.
Just feels like a fake, static battlefield where nothing I do means anything. no impact. just another MMO wit no heart. I'll try to play it somemore but Mass Effect just seeems so much more interesting...
Sorry TR fans no disrespect this game is admirable but I am upset at the guys giving this game like 9s and 10s at metacritic.
But it is fun however it pure easymode so far.
I bet it will get grindy around level 30 just like city of heroes. I know its gonna get shallow towards the middle.
this game could have been so innovative man. Where is the dynamic battlefields. Does the Bane EVER take human bases away??????
What I found dissapointing is how much hate mail there was out on this game prior to launch. I then came to the conclusion that I would not play it but on an off chance I saw it in the shop and took a punt. Now I am no fanboy but I really enjoy the game and to sum me up I have played games for more than 30 years (apple+ days) as well as multiple mmo's so don't go telling me I don't have a clue.
No the game is not a 10/10. What it is, is a fast paced, pretty much bug free, stable upon release mmo (for me) that I have found refreshing and above all different. I play EVE pretty heavily so TR is a perfect compliment to it. If I have 30-60min to mess about I know I can be in the thick of battle within 2 minutes of launch and have a blast. Give me some examples of other games that allow this? not many...
Yes everyone has their own opinions but what this game is NOT is bad or even average. Its a decent to good game and for Sci-Fi fans its a welcome addition to the mmo world.
The point is you like the game that nice and i hope you fun lasts
However the player who are bushing the game are not doing so without reason they found faults and failings in the game.
Basically when playing a game you play to have fun.
While entertaining their is things missing in Tabula Rasa. With the game devs posting what they are currently working on i personally found that the content i was looking for is not in the game be might be added in the furture. So from my prespective they should have add this content in from the start instead of pushing the game out as fast as possible.
For me how well this content is adding in will make or break the game in reguards to fun. So i am going to wait and see with they do a good job then yes i will be playing again if they dont i will move on.
For alot of players they found the game lacking too.

I have seen this said about EVERY MMO release.
MMOs are NEVER done. They are always adding more content and there are always people wanting more content than what is provided.
If they waited till they had all the content in the game before launch then none of the MMOs would EVER launch.
The game is fun to play RIGHT NOW so why wait to mid 08? I am more than happy to support them with my $$ RIGHT NOW!!!!!
Sincerely I dont understand why so much hate! The bashing, trolling and insults to this game in this Forum is much highrer than in other games. The game is not a 10 of course, but isn´t bad either! It´s rather a good game, well balanced, few bugs and some interesting innovations and with great potential for the future. I´m enjoying very much playing this game. I started in the last weeks of Beta and couldn´t stop! I think one of the reasons of so much hate were the higher expectations for this game and when the early Beta started and the amount of bugs and few contents made lots of people flee from the game. But it was normal! It was an early Beta!! The bashing was very loud and continued even when the game was released and the major problems were solved. Great reviews, people telling that they didn´t liked in the Beta phase but now were having a blast playing it, fresh MMO´s players saying that they love this game, MMO veterans saying that this game is very good, nothing can´t stop this guys from bashing the game and stop saying "this game sucks"! Some didn´t even played the game since early Beta (June/July), others intend to draw TR players for other games (Neocron,HGL,SWG,etc...) and the majority are simpletons...Trolls! They are having fewer and fewer arguments but they don´t shut up! First were the bugs(it was a BETA), then it was the "shalow content"(again...it was a BETA), then was the poor graphics( how about having a better PC?), then the gameplay (it is diferent, like a FPS/RPG ,maybe is too diferent for people that are always demanding innovation but can´t see innovation even if it bites you in the...) one topic even said that the game was too fast!! I dont understand this behaviour! When I don´t like one game I just ignore him, even when I have high hopes and in the end the game isn´t what I hoped for (like HGL). But this people (or children) maybe don´t have a life and have plenty time to spare in futility. So, starting now, I will ignore any topic that attacks this game, I´m just sick of it! I will only post on topics that talk about something positive about this game or questions about TR.

If you when an picked up a title like quake and went to play only to find out they have plans for vechical but then are not in game and will be add 6 months down the line in a patch. How well do you think there players take that? They released the game fast any one in the beta can tell you that all of stuff was add even in the last day of open beta.
If you look into it they where running out of funding and pushed the game out. The stuff they still have planed was ment to be in at launch. So there is a difference from an expasion where you add in additional content and flat out missing content.

First there is a world of difference between MMOs and boxed single person games. Anyone who plays MMOs knows this and knows that the game is always evolving and expanding.
The FUD about running out of funding I have heard with other games before as well. Got a link to back up your statement?
So far *I* havent seen any missing content. I have been playing since release and having massive amounts of fun and still have a very full mission log. I've never had the problem of logging in and wondering what to do next. Missing content? Where? LOL
[edit: Feldron, what level are you in the release of TR to say that you have run out of content?]
Usually that statement comes from the people who rush through and level as fast as possible and hit the level cap in 2 weeks after release and then complain bitterly that there is no content.
I take my time, enjoy the ride and by the time I hit the level cap more and more content has already been added in by the developers.
In the MMO world there is always new content being added in and believe me there is enough in TR for now unless you make the super fast dash for the level cap
(everything in here is totally my opinion as is the above post - opinion not fact).
I have seen a lot of people max out already in TR. No wonder some are saying there is lack of content. However I have learnt my lesson in the past and I am taking my time with this one. I log in, complete a couple of missions or do one instance and I am content. In a way since the game is fast paced and endless action I almost need a break. In 6 months time I may max out but by then there will be more patches and more content. TR fills my FPS and RPG need and that suits me perfectly. It is not the game that will become your life like EVE, WOW, Vanguard even. What it is, is a lot of fun, stable upon release and quite impressive game. If you are looking for a virtual life then it may not have enough for those gamers...yet
No, when you got every quest in the game done and the extras for your master titles for the areas and there is nothing left and its been 2 weeks, how is that alot of content. The problem is there is not alot of content and you can do EVERY thing in the intire game in 2 weeks and have been every where and done every thing. Even if you just played on the week ends and a few hours here and there you should have every thing done inside of 2 months. So 2 months of content for a casual player how is this was every released i dont know.
basically i am betting even you are already close to 30 and got wilderness and divde cleared right? Not much left.

There is very little to the game.
It's shallow, repetitive, has no replay value, no reason to team, the UI is weak, the chat system is crap and the story is pretty stupid...
It is very much like Auto Assault on foot, a game better suited to Xbox or some other console platform with a small online component so that consolers can play together in small groups.
Garriott is trying to put the blame on the beta testers, but the game is failing because it is not suitable for the market they are trying to sell it in.
bought it a couple days ago, didnt really grip me. btw, im looking to trade a tr buddy key for a vsoh key if anyone is interested = id really like to try vanguard
*edit* been a long time reader, just started posting. email me at h00ligan182@hotmail.com if you wanna trade
I've had alot of fun with the game so far. My only issue with Tabula Rasa is a lack of meaningful / accessable PVP, and ,to a lesser degree, the lack of endgame PVE.
The combat system is fun, the class system is nice (could be great with a little work), and the story is engaging. If we get the above changes, maybe a decent crafting system, and a little player housing, I think TR could turn out to be a fairly successful long term MMO.
Content Writer for RTSGuru.com And overall bitter old man.

Its not hate, its that Tabula Rasa is nothing more than a mindless level grinding bore fest! and to top it off its full of kiddie, fanboi's and rambo wanna-be's! i bet you have your chat channel turned on and filtered out general, cause we both know thats the type of player TR attracts.
TR is terrible and my new years resolution will be to see TR fail!
1. TR doesn't have official forums because forums are a nightmare like the one here. Far more trolling/flaming/anger than their is help/discussion/intelligent debate.
2. Remember those good ole marketing statistics. I don't remember them exactly but it's something like this: Those who dislike someting will tell 10 people and those who enjoy something will tell 2 people.
I've been lightly browsing these forums and I notice that so much of the complaining is really coming from the same names over and over and over. I saw one guy basically repeat himself 10 times "This game is a failure" speach in 7 or 8 different threads. I literally massage my temples when I read the forums because it's so full of... yelling and complaining that even if you are someone who comes here to read about this game, you just end up so confussed. For me, I came here to check out the screenshots and the official review from MMORPG. After that I was totally done because I just can't stand the repeditive complaining about a few facets of the games. Earlier I even made a farce-like post where I joked around about people who claim the game is doomed.... even that post got flamed. Anyway, don't sweat it man, I'm with you on this one... sometimes the only way to win the game, is to not play the game at all. I try to look for posts where people need help or ask for friendly advice... or the posts where people suggest a creative idea for the game. Good luck and most important... have fun
LOL, posts like these always are a source of entertainment to me. Always the same old, same old complaints etc. I remember reading similar posts regarding a rather well known, successful MMO just after its release, ie lack of end-game, pvp complaints etc etc (WoW anyone?)
Always makes me wonder, if people dislike this game, and have moved to another game that is 'so much better', why aren't they playing their new game instead of spending their time posting here
Maybe for some there never will be a game they really enjoy.
BTW, I read these posts during server downtime, they are patching at the moment adding some new lvl50 content, Military Surplus etc

Until the PVP balancing destroys PVE play.
I've seen it happen sooooo many times....
Yeah this would be far superior to clan vs clan PVP (in my opinion of course )

So yeah its not done try again mid 08.
I am more than happy to support them with my $$ RIGHT NOW!!!!!
two words .. "Grind" .. "Fest"
LOL you just summed up pretty much every MMO out there.
Honestly though TR doesn't feel like a grind fest. I like getting out there and killing the Bane over and over again
Someone should donate this thread to a grammar support group or something. Is there such a thing? What about a remedial grammar charity foundation?
Whew, this is horrible!
AAH! A troll fire! Quick, pour some Kool-Aid on it!!!

There really is not alot to the game.

And overall bitter old man.
To the OP:
Two things I thought were interesting.
That is lame comment. Not everyone play for PVP. Its a RPG and to roleplay in the TR setting, humans fighting humans? That is silly.
Humans fighting humans?! Blasphemy!! Elves would have been more fun to beat up .. too bad this game doesnt have any
