That is a good statement...I did not...we have been married going on 4 years...

But, now I see all the guys hit on her more and more, and all I can say is..."Man, I picked a hottie...!"

Looks are working for me now...lol!

    Cheers!

WOOT Lord of the Rings online sucks ? I thought this game was MMO of the Year or something ? :))

I lost count on how many hate this game and thinks its a loaf of crap and that made post about it by now. One thing is for sure though I agree with them.

And yes it's the Dwarf starter area that looks god aweful.   It looks like what MMORPG's looked like 5 years ago.

Turbine was great when they made AC1. Best MMORPG ever made for me. But now those days are long gone and Turbine is just another POS development company.

And you call a company POS because they released a game where one out of perhaps 80 areas (rough estimate) is less than stellar? Sorry, but that's just not reasonable. You better change your expectations and your attitude.

You better change your OS too, btw. There's just no reason to run Vista on your PC when playing MMOs. The only effect that you get from running Vista on that PC is bad performance.

I maintain this List of Sandbox MMORPGs. Please post or send PM for corrections and suggestions.

    You were counting?

I wanna be like you, where do I go to trade my brain in for the hamster wheel, and do you recommend any specific foods for the wee fella that's going to be running it?

What does a current avatar based MMO look like?

    POTBS?  WAR?  VSOH?

Sorry but LOTRO can stand beside the best of the current pick any day.  I don't know what you are on about with this 5 year crap.  What game are you even thinking about???

I don't foresee Turbine getting any big franchises to build on anymore... or releasing another MMOG anytime soon.

    What are you talking about?

Yeah the troll is out of his flipping mind...

He probably downloaded the low res trial as well to base his point off of.

Anyways, as I mentioned in the screenshots thread, I just went out and purchased a 8600GT (by no means top of the line, but no slouch either) on Sunday and I put the graphics on Ultra-High and put on DX10 (getting about 23 fps in the wild...usually play at high at 50+ fps) as I run Vista Home Premium and all I can say is the graphics are totally amazing.  I thought the game looked OK when I had an intergrated GFX card but now, holy crap what a difference.  LOTRO has the best graphics I have seen in a MMO yet.

Did the troll...err...OP, give us his pick for the best looking graphics in an mmo yet?

Anyways, I think the troll is happy...look at me I got 40+ responses...I got the attention I crave...

OP has his own opinion.  Unfounded, biased, unsupported, not accurate.  But, his opinion.

Notice how the OP did not give an example of a MMORPG he likes and that meets any of the conditions he imposes.

I forsee Turbine getting any IP they would like based on the success of LotRO.  Perhaps they will get STO, that would be nice. :)

Yep sounds like a nub to me. To explain it to him I will say this: There are 2 downloads for lotro 1 of them provides low-res gfx the 2nd contains the high-res pack.

Excuse me while I lol myself to sleep.

I play LOTRO on a high-end rig, and there isn't MUCH of a difference between the two clients. My major gripe about LOTRO again, is the combat. The exploration, story and community are great though.

I just couldn't stand watching it anymore so yeah =/

I did have the high res pack. And I was playing on Ultra high settings.

The Dwarf starter area looks like complete SHIT plain and simple. That's not an opinion - it's a fact.

Personally I like the dwarf starting regions. Reminds me a bit of some area's Ive hiked. That being said, its the one area which does look iffy at lower graphics settings. Mind you I have mine on high. So anycase I tend to agree with everyone else. The graphics rock to me

I ran it on >maximum< settings and I had no major performance problems - and it looked good

perhaps you should try to not run the game with a geforce 2

Again, I will ask what game are you in love with the graphics on?

Who has the best game graphics in your opinion?

What did you think of the screenshots provided in the above post?
