The graphic engine seems acceptable to say the least, hopefully we wont have more Vaporware trolls claiming that it will be outdated. Warcry promises a Dev journal next friday.

there just not showing them in 2006 they showed them. so you know they have them so there just disabled

I would play Darkfall even with outdated graphics. I prefer substance over style.
I have given up on playing Darkfall a few years ago. Until I see a beta, I don't believe it will ever see the light
of day.

take out nonono just close the server process for them. L2 mob sevrer crashes but game stays up.
have you ever seen a game company not wanting to show off everythign they can to create hype?
geese give them a break if you find that there riping people off then voice yoru concerns but until then there is no point at all esspiccly if you want to play it.
im trying to be fair with you we all now ren is that 1 guy your just hurt form all the waiting i refused to wait for this game until 2007 the max ill be able tow ait is 1 year. then i just give up until i see its out but i am fairly positive it will see beta at least this year. it will be sucidefor the game devs if it doesnt
I'm not a Darkfall troll or anything, I'm as interested in it as anybody. But...what's up with the shadows in those screenies, there are some shadows off some objects and others don't have a shadow, also the shadows are projecting in different directions in some parts...Not impressed.

There was only one screenshot ever of an NPC, and one screenshot ever of a mob. They never showed a world full of NPCS and mobs. And they certainly have never shown any videos of NPCS or mobs. And you you need to see a video to see if the mobs and npcs actually work, and aren't just place holders.
So no , they have shown absolutely no evidence that mobs and NPCS are in the game. And these new videos and screenshots prove that they aren't in the game.
In fact they haven't shown 90% of what is supposed to be in the game
So how you can think that beta is about to start is beyond me.

my mistake it was in 2004 after the graphcis and engine over haul even tho these arent up to where they are know.

no screenshots doesnt proove anything on if mobs arent ing ame but if there not lieing then they are and there doing polishing and the latest screenshots look pretty damn polished. btw have fun being wrong about beta not being close to starting.

Nice to see a update again. I really liked the new pics of the races.
And also nice to see they can deliver some diversity in how the characters look like. But now i cant wait next friday instead : (
New screenshots should hold people for another year.

I have been lightly following Darkfall for quite awhile, and personally I think it is the biggest disaster in MMO history. They have yet to show any mechanics of the game itself after how many years now???? They continue to post old stuff saying its new updates.
Yes, I said OLD stuff. Even those new shots of the city were staged and those shots of dwarves are probably at least a year old, but they put them off as brand new. Also, they ARE NOT ingame shots as you would tend to believe. Looking closely at them, you can tell they were staged shots, just as everything else the Devs have thrown out.
Please, as much as I would love to see the game come to light, I just don't see it being any different than Dark & Light, or even Mourning. They will keep stringing people along with Beta hints just as they have been doing for years now. I remember getting excited about beta 3 years ago, guess I'm still waiting on that invite.......

Graphics keep getting better and better. If you think it doesn't look good then get your eyes checked. Seriously.
To the poster asking about the shadows, watch the video with the cat. The shadows are actually dynamic so in a video they move beautifully, screenshots less so.
To the above poster, Dark and Light released, it just sucked. If DF follows DnL and actually releases, it has the same chances of everyone else as being good. Realize that if you go down the vaporware road listing DnL is a bad idea as it wasn't vaporware, it just sucked.
honestly see your was burnt fine thatw as a big mistake but if you take thing slike that to heart your in for a huge dissapointmeant on RL things. come on get over it. Do you really want to bet me that beta will start this year? (would be funny if i was one of the quality testers for darkfall im not but what if i was? you would feel pretty stupid wouldnt you. Tell us, since there are multiple post where you berate people and tell them "Beta is guaranteed" and you say here that you know beta will be this year, how do you know? Enlighten us as to how you absolutely without a doubt know that beta is this year.

The DF team likes to BS people and string people along like dogs on a short leash. Other mmo makers, long before a game is released talks with the community of followers, keeps them very much interested in the game they are working on. The DF team posts a few pics now and then like they are doing people a favor by posting them.
I guess I am blind after being burned so many times by the DF team. Each year its the same, you think beta might start, the year goes past with nothing to really show from them. You never know, as cool as the game sounds it could be another flop like so many other mmo's that got sent to the trash. I was like you once, very exited about DF and now to me DF is very depressing. I dont even want to get started on the DF forum community so I wont.
