Sorry, I am unfamiliar with any game showing a world full of mobs when they aren't even in public ClosedBeta. It's like you have some vendetta against someone working for Aventurine or a mod on the df forums. Just take what you get for what it is and stop getting into arguments.
Every one of your points can be answered with one statement: a revolutionary game protects its secrets so they aren't borrowed. Why showcase anything when they don't have a publishing decision finalized? If something was leaked and incorporated into a patch for WoW or something equally as probable, that would hurt DF a lot more than a few pricks STILL shouting vaporware.
The point is they said they have been ready for beta for the last year. These videos show that the game isn't anywhere near beta.
If they want to hide their alpha game away from the world fine. But don't pretend its near beta and near release.

You know here is a peice of advice to you, you want your game to actually have some merit? Stop spamming in these forums every year, finish the game and release it. Considering what Darkfall developers is trying to implement into the game id say soon to be 5 year in devlopment isnt that a long time. Ohhh, didnt you know the game restarted 2003? I honestly think the screens pretty good maybe not as good as say LotrO or EQ2 but they are acceptable and I would give the game a go if its ever release which we all know how that goes.....

Thank you for the appologize.=) The original Darkfall game developed 2001- late 2002 was developed by Razorwax, not Aventurine. After the merge they had some 6 months getting warm in their new clothes and restarted the game mid 2003 like below.
If game developers changes from 4 guys in a cellar to 20-30 developers, better financial backup, new equipment, restarting programming from zero, new game engine, and devs is informing us they started from scratch mid 2003, then the game restarted mid 2003 whether you like it or not. And if you dont understand this i dont know how to convince you, its all there, just read it. Theirs ambition level increased since they simply had better resources then before Razorwax merged with Aventurine late 2002. Just read what Tasos tells us.
Aventurine was originally formed to fund and publish Darkfall. The development team was in Norway, at the time it was four developers working on design, concepting, and prototyping. While working with Razorwax to put the development team together we realized how high the operating costs, and the cost of living is in Norway. We decided to move our activities to Greece under Aventurine to get more game for our money. It took a while to organize and assemble the team and to get into full production which started about three and a half years ago. Aventurine was now developing the technology, the tools, and the game. At the time this project started there was no technology available that would allow us to do what we wanted, so everything had to be made from scratch.

How is it that you could conceive a game taking longer to develop a bad thing? Do you really think this game would have succeeded or been able to accomplish all of its goals releasing in 2005? They have the financial means to take their time so the game is exactly how they want it upon release.

Your sports team analogy doesn't work for one second. Darkfall can completely re-code, re-equip and overhaul whatever aspect of the game they need to whenever they have needed to. It's dynamic. You're assuming that time = finite, or that once you begin coding a game, you can't change anything you've created. You'd be wrong in either case unfortunately.
Let's just stick to you not being against darkfall. If you don't have anything else to add, just be on your way. You're welcome to discuss anything about the game though, we are all for that.

I don't see this game releasing for at least another year or two as they haven't even let anyone play it...and I do remember that Asp got to go there, but who is he? Does he work for IGN, or an respectable magazine? Inviting one member of a random guild to come play your game is ok, and I appreciate the write up he did, but it would've held more water had he been a part of the journalism community.
Again though, I hope I am wrong about this and the game magically releases in 6 months. Only time will tell...

I honestly think the screens pretty good maybe not as good as say LotrO or EQ2 but they are acceptable and I would give the game a go if its ever release which we all know how that goes.....

Thank you for the appologize.=) The original Darkfall game developed 2001- late 2002 was developed by Razorwax, not Aventurine. After the merge they had some 6 months getting warm in their new clothes and restarted the game mid 2003 like below.
If game developers changes from 4 guys in a cellar to 20-30 developers, better financial backup, new equipment, restarting programming from zero, new game engine, and devs is informing us they started from scratch mid 2003, then the game restarted mid 2003 whether you like it or not. And if you dont understand this i dont know how to convince you, its all there, just read it. Theirs ambition level increased since they simply had better resources then before Razorwax merged with Aventurine late 2002. Just read what Tasos tells us.
